I had a positive smiley yesterday on a clear blue digital, DTD today, yesterday, day before and every other day before that. I would do tomorrow but fiance goes away for 5 nights for work. I think / hope I've done enough 🤞

Is anyone testing 31st / 1st July? Here if anyone wants company! 🙂

Hi ladies,

jumping on I am also in the tww, this is my first cycle after a missed miscarriage at 9 weeks last month and praying so hard for a bfp.

Dtd every other day after period then on peak LH 17July and day after so now trying to muster all the patience for the rest of the month!

good luck to all 🍀

Donutworryaboutit · 20/07/2022 17:41

@GeorgiaGK @LilyDaniels 🤣🤣 that’s proper made me laugh - ok I hope they are enjoying their swim up there hahahaa

LilyDaniels · 20/07/2022 17:01

@Donutworryaboutit if you DTD yesterday and today and today is your ovulation day you've probably covered the most important days!!
Sperm swim fast so don't worry about it 'coming out after' 🤣
Good luck 🙂

@Donutworryaboutit I reckon you've got a pretty good chance! We only DTD twice this month. Usually we try every day but I'm trying not to care so much this month 🤣 The sperm must just go on a leisurely swim for a few days 🏊‍♀️🤣

Donutworryaboutit · 20/07/2022 16:53

My predicted ovulation is today, we dtd yesterday and today and now my boyfriend is away for almost two weeks 😩(hence is not putting pressure on anything as he’s away a lot.) still hopeful for chances? I never really understand how sperm can stay up there so long when it appears to just fall out 😂thoughts?

LittleDoveLove · 20/07/2022 10:31

@Donutworryaboutit good luck to you too! X

LittleDoveLove · 20/07/2022 10:31

Thank you @LilyDaniels hopefully we will both be lucky 🤞. I just need to relax now as I definitely think stress doesn't help! X

Nita19 · 20/07/2022 09:28

Welcome @cgou1 @Donutworryaboutit let us know if you have any symptoms Grin excited to hear everyone's results!!

Donutworryaboutit · 20/07/2022 09:00

Hey hoping I can join in with you ladies! First month of TTW/TTC hopefully without a lot of pressure as my boyfriend works away a lot. Ovulation predicted today so we will see. First time dtd without withdrawing last night eeeek! I’m excited. I already have a almost 4 year old and took 5 months to conceive so I am not getting my hopes up too soon.

but still I am excited🤗

cgou1 · 20/07/2022 07:32

hello,
ill be testing 1st and im already fed up of waiting 🙈 xx

LilyDaniels · 20/07/2022 06:21

@LittleDoveLove I'm hoping worst case scenario I did in fact ovulate yesterday (hopefully no later) and I may be in with a chance, so I will try and relax now. If it's not my month, I'll be skipping my next two cycles to avoid my best friend's wedding and try again in October.
I'm so sorry to hear about your miscarriage and chemical, my fingers are crossed that this is your month and you'll be giving your 3 year old a sibling soon! 👶

Sorry catching up on messages! I used to use the smiley ones and it was so confusing I would get multiple peaks and I also did that with the second test and a solid smiley. I track my basal temp and just using the cheapie ovulation sticks now and they seem to be pretty in line with my basal temp. The months I got pregnant I think I was using the clearblue 2 day ones and the boots own. I won't use Clearblue 4 day again.
We try and DTD every other day or every day from about CD 13 though as I don't 100% trust any of them! I tend to ovulate between CD17 and CD21 x

LittleDoveLove · 19/07/2022 23:09

I think you should be covered as well @LilyDaniels . Do you track your basal body temp in the morning? I've found that to be a helpful in conjunction with the ovulation sticks! X

LittleDoveLove · 19/07/2022 23:08

Hi @LilyDaniels no I have a 3 year old DS. I have had two miscarriages since last summer. One chemical and one missed miscarriage at 9 weeks which I had medical management of in May. So I'm hoping I can conceive again and for a healthy one that sticks 🙏 x

LilyDaniels · 19/07/2022 20:16

@bellbellaolive thanks for the advice. I did think this may be the case but one was brand new and the other I used 72 hours ago.
I've read on the internet that you can possibly read positive for days but you should stop after the first and ignore the fact you continue to test positive.
I geuss only time will tell!

I still want to hear about all of your possible implantation symptoms over the next few days 😁🤞

@LilyDaniels I'm not sure if the test "records" your peak until the next cycle? As in it knows to keep that static smiley there for 48 hours, maybe it's just not cleared yet? Flowers

LilyDaniels · 19/07/2022 19:46

@Nita19 Thank you! I'm going to just assume its probably not my month and wait and see x

Nita19 · 19/07/2022 19:19

@LilyDaniels oh gosh I don't know either. It's strange that you got a solid smiley on a brand new test as I was always under the impression the first test is always blank while it measures your levels Confused I'm sorry I'm not much help!! Maybe someone else in here can offer some assistance.

LilyDaniels · 19/07/2022 19:14

@Nita19 I was using the cheaper ones but they were confusing me more as they seemed to surge slightly then dip down. I ran out and used the clear blue instead.

I'm trying to work out if it's normal for tests to remain positive despite ovulating, but not getting much info online!

Nita19 · 19/07/2022 19:08

@LilyDaniels have you tried the little LH tests strips? I find them so much less confusing. I've used the clear blue ones and got on okay with them personally but I've seen several people like yourself who are getting confusing results. I don't know if you have an Asda near by but they do test strips near all the pregnancy tests. Might be worth getting some just to back up the clear blue results? Completely understand you feeling disappointed and confused but don't lose hope for this month yet! And if it's not to be then there is always next month Flowers

LilyDaniels · 19/07/2022 18:59

I just came home and did two different clear blue digital tests (one purple and one pink)... I thought if negative it would reassure me I ovulated on Sunday. But both were static smileys meaning positive, despite getting a positive on Saturday! ☹️ I'm absolutely gutted as my partner's away and we haven't DTD since Sunday. He was away last cycle too and I wish I could have had a proper chance at trying. I'm now on day 30 of my cycle.

I'm hoping by some miracle it means I'm ovulating tonight and I've caught Sundays try.. but I wouldn't place my best on it.

Staceyhelen · 19/07/2022 18:13

@Nita19 hahah yes 🤣 I know it is the heatwave making me feel sick and dizzy but hasn't stopped me googling everything!

Nita19 · 19/07/2022 16:12
