I had a positive smiley yesterday on a clear blue digital, DTD today, yesterday, day before and every other day before that. I would do tomorrow but fiance goes away for 5 nights for work. I think / hope I've done enough 🤞

Is anyone testing 31st / 1st July? Here if anyone wants company! 🙂

Wishing you all luck - we got our positive on 29th July 2021! Little miracle currently napping on me!

GeorgiaGK · 18/07/2022 09:35

@LilyDaniels I came off the pill after ten years about 2 years ago now and then started trying in March. I hope it happens quickly for you! It's going to be another long two weeks but I find it quite exciting 😆

@Nita19 I'm forever symptom spotting 😆 I'm always so sure I'm going to get a positive and then nope 🙈 here's to hoping for this cycle!

Nita19 · 18/07/2022 09:20

Welcome ladies! I'm 3dpo and already having to put it out my mind and not think about symptoms and tests!! Grin it's going to be a long TWW!!

LilyDaniels · 18/07/2022 09:16

@GeorgiaGK it's my first too! I came off the pill in Feb and my cycles have gradually got longer. I was going to start trying last cycle but Fiance went away bang on my fertile week! So this is my first real try. I'm with you on attempting the relaxed approach! x

@LilyDaniels thank you! Got my fingers crossed for you too! Yes I'm trying for my first. I was doing loads of ovulation tests for a few months but I'm trying to take the more relaxed approach this month 😅 I was 5 days late last month so really got my hopes up 🙈 Definitely harder than you think isn't it?! xx

LilyDaniels · 18/07/2022 08:52

@HeartNutella congrats on your positive test! I use CB too. Did you use the 'four or more day', or 'two or more days'? It's hard work waiting for the positive isn't it, I always test positive on day 27.. so a super long wait for me.
@GeorgiaGK Good luck 😁 is this your first?

I'm wondering if testing on the day my period is due is
too early (14dpo) or whether to wait till 15dpo.. the last thing I want is a false negative!

I'm testing on 1st August! 5th month trying 😩 got my fingers crossed for us all! xx

HeartNutella · 18/07/2022 08:31

Hi everyone, can I please join.

Just got a static smiley face on the CB OK. Finally. Turns out I got it on CD16 instead of my predicted dates. So hopefully this is our month. My period is predicted to start on 31 July /1st Aug. Going to DTD today, ,tomorrow and day after as well just to make sure

LilyDaniels · 18/07/2022 05:45

@eatsleeprepeat123 welcome! Our dates are the same 🙂 sounds like you have it covered! Let's hope these two weeks go quickly.
@Mum032019 hey! Completely understand you, this is my first and I didn't realise just how difficult it would be, I thought it would be a breeze! But working, keeping the house in check and the diary being busy as it's summer makes it so tricky - I imagine even trickier for you with a 3 year old! Sending you baby dust 🤞

Mum032019 · 17/07/2022 22:48

Sorry to jump in on the thread! We’ve been TTC actively around 8 months, but no contraception for over a year now. Back to it again this month. We have a 3 year old old and both work long hours so it feels like it can be quite tricky sometimes depending on the timing of ovulation. Anybody else experience this? Like trying to fit in around life admin / demands! Good luck to everybody trying 😊

Staceyhelen · 17/07/2022 21:38

@LilyDaniels @Nita19 yes same here! Dont want to get my hopes up so I will plan on testing until AF is late. Let's hope these next 2 weeks don't drag for us 🤞

eatsleeprepeat123 · 17/07/2022 21:37

Could I join you?

First month trying for #2 I have an 18 month old boy already 😊

Got my peak OPK yesterday afternoon so DTD Thurs, Fri and will tonight so hoping to have it covered! We were out last night so couldn't!

My AF is due 31st July!

LilyDaniels · 17/07/2022 21:29

@Nita19 @Staceyhelen Testing for ovulation is stressful enough I think! So yes the aim is to 'relax' for now and wait till 14dpo to test 🤞

Nita19 · 17/07/2022 21:26

@Staceyhelen we got this!! No symptom spotting!! like @LilyDaniels said it's probably just going to be our dinner going down or trapped wind or something!! GrinGrinHmm I'm determined to try and stay relaxed! Haha!

Staceyhelen · 17/07/2022 21:25

@LilyDaniels this is exactly the same as me 🤣 noticing every slight feeling in my body!

Nita19 · 17/07/2022 21:23

@LilyDaniels I know this month though to try and relax a little and I've promised myself no early testing and until I've got a good solid positive to not get my hopes up too much! I'm such a symptom spotter it's ridiculous! ConfusedGrin
The only symptoms I had with my first was cramping, literally just like period pain! And a strange tugging sensation in my abdomen! I presume that was implantation. Apart from that I wouldn't have even thought I was pregnant until all hell broke loose at 10weeks when the sickness began! Envy

Staceyhelen · 17/07/2022 21:21

@Nita19 oh no! That sounds awful, bless you. I was terrible for symptom spotting last month, and was so gutted when AF arrived, I didn't expect it to happen first month trying but was still disappointed. Hoping to be more relaxed about things this month, but easier said than done! 🤣

LilyDaniels · 17/07/2022 21:19

@Nita19 you poor thing! No wonder you thought you were pregnant with those symptoms. Did you have many early symptoms with your first? I guess you know what to look out for. Us ladies go through so much worrying, we drive ourselves crazy! I've been googling ovulation cramps all evening wondering if I'm having them or if they're just my dinner digesting 😆

Nita19 · 17/07/2022 21:09

@bellaolive it certainly can't do any harm anyway to cover yourself (as long as you don't die from heat exhaustion) Grin

Im nervous this month ladies. Last month I got a horrible evap. Which I didn't realise was an evap at the time. Had lots of symptoms like cramping and back ache and feeling nauseous. I was sure I was pregnant. Then I started really vomited and it soon became apparent something wasn't right... turned out to be a horrific kidney infection!! How wrong was I!!

bellaolive · 17/07/2022 21:05

Thanks ladies! I'll take your advice and convince my husband it's worth us passing out for in this heat 😂 Fingers crossed for us all 😊

LilyDaniels · 17/07/2022 21:01

@Nita19 ahhh figures crossed you can give your baby girl a brother or sister soon!! Yes this is my first. I'm finding it a lot of pressure timing around friends weddings etc... An April baby would be a perfect time for me.
@bellaolive omg it's a challenge DTD in this heat isn't it!! I would say defo try tonight if you can. They say the best days are the two days leading up to ovulation though.
@Staceyhelen you have done well! I missed out on my first month too, so fingers crossed for us 🤞

We will have to keep each other updated if we have any early symptoms! 😄

Nita19 · 17/07/2022 20:54

@Staceyhelen it sounds like you've covered your bases! Eeeekkk lots of baby dust to you all ladies! Let's hope we get a couple of bfp's between us! Grin

Nita19 · 17/07/2022 20:51

Well I think after the start of your peak you should ovulate 24-36 hours afterwards! So we just try and work around it! Like most working people with little ones we only really get time in the evenings! Haha!! I think it's best for his little swimmers to be there waiting for the egg but we normally just make sure we do every other day leading up to my peak, then do the day of my peak and the day after (which technically should be the day you Ovulate). So in your current situation if you got your positive peak yesterday you should be ovulating any time so I'd definitely try and do tonight if you can! Smile

Staceyhelen · 17/07/2022 20:48

Hi, can I join you all? This is only our 2nd month TTC. I didn't get a positive OPK last month, I think I started testing too late so missed the window. I had a positive OPK on Friday, we DTD 4 out of 5 days before and 2 days after so fingers crossed! AF is due around the 28th.
@bellaolive I know what you mean about the heat, worst week to be ovulating hahah!

bellaolive · 17/07/2022 20:43

Ha I think you're right! Do you know when the "best" time to DTD is when you get your positive opk? Is it the day of the positive or days either side?
