after falsely getting my hopes up with an evap last cycle, I’m determined to wait until I miss my period this time and (hopefully) get a good strong BFP rather than spending days analysing squinters!

would anyone like to join me? 🤞🏻 🍀

I had a bit of back ache earlier but that's not uncommon for me. Flo thinks I'm due on Sunday and Premom says CD 20. I know it's a bit crazy, but I've had a look at due date calculators. My gut thinks this month is a no. If I get AF on Sunday I'd be due on my next birthday. Maybe it's a sign😅

Coco2021 · 24/07/2022 13:57

Hi ladies, how is everyone today? ✨
I'm on CD 12 today and think i may be around O day but am not sure as I'm not using OPKs this month. Slight twinging feeling going on which is making me think I could be around O.
Let's see what the next couple of weeks brings 🤞❤️

Wouldloveanother · 23/07/2022 14:00

I just had a couple of minutes of quite intense right ovary pain (3dpo ish). ‘Dont symptom spot’ I told myself, before going down an internet rabbit hole about other women who had it before their BFP 🤦🏼‍♀️

@Wouldloveanother thank you. Currently CD8 I think so may start tomorrow or Sunday 😊
I've had lower back ache today and bloating tonight with a headache. Very random for this time in my cycle but it's all a bit messed up now anyway so I don't know what to expect when anymore

daydreamingnightowl · 22/07/2022 21:06

@Wouldloveanother I've been a bit like that too today - I felt overly emotional when I put the baby to bed and had a few tears after - he's just been extra cuddly and needy today and I hope he's ok.

It is classic pms for me though to feel emotional. I have to keep myself in check with symptom spotting

@Nichelette we're probably just sun consciously putting our defences up so we can't be disappointed if it doesn't happen this month

@Coco2021 I really hope this is a lucky thread for us all - let's get the positive vibes out there!

Nichelette · 22/07/2022 20:31

@Wouldloveanother it's hard isn't it! I know we're very lucky to even have him, but in my heart I feel like we missed out on a lot. I only saw my mum a couple of times whilst I was pregnant (and once was a fleeting meet up in a service station car park). We were in tier 4 so there was no pram shopping or similar. Everything was online. Couldn't have my mum there when he was born as I was only allowed one birth partner. As much as my husband is lovely I'd always imagined my mum there. Anyway, hopefully onwards to no.2 for us both x

Wouldloveanother · 22/07/2022 20:13

Oh Nichelette I could’ve written your post 😞 I don’t think a lot of people realise what it was like being a covid new mum…

@daydreamingnightowl I feel the same in my gut too. Don't know why as last month I was possibly too positive, just have this hunch. I am one of four, and whilst I only want two I struggle seeing DS as an only. He was born April 21 and I barely saw anyone whilst I was pregnant because of covid so I almost feel like it didn't happen. Feel like I'm pressurising myself too as I work FT and would love another maternity leave so I can be with DS again. Miss him lots.

@Wouldloveanother enjoy your takeaway! Hope you feel better in the morning.

Wouldloveanother · 22/07/2022 19:36

I really hope so, some threads seem to be luckier than others!

What are you all doing to keep busy this evening? I burst into tears at work today and I’ve been crying on and off ever since - it wasn’t even over anything big! Just feel really flat/low for some reason. Think I’m going to settle in with a takeaway and a film then try to do a bit of housework while it’s cooler and DD is in bed.

@daydreamingnightowl oh maybe it will be a good omen if it happened to us both before... Positive thinking, this could be a lucky thread for us all ❤️🤞 stay strong with your next few days trying not to test haha! Xo

daydreamingnightowl · 22/07/2022 17:09

It would make me 9dpo, so entering the danger zone of wanting to test! I will resist!

I know it's all just in my head, but I really don't feel like this is the month. We are also in a hurry and have a bit of a time limit on how long we will try. I don't know if that's going to make things harder!

@Coco2021 I also came off the progesterone only pill both times ttc and first time I fell pregnant the cycle after my period returned. Not sure I will be so lucky this time xx

Coco2021 · 22/07/2022 10:20

@Wouldloveanother for this month I'm just DTD regularly (every other day) and will see what happens. However I have ordered opks for next month in anticipation of not being lucky twice haha.
Are you doing opks and bbt? xo

Wouldloveanother · 22/07/2022 10:16

Welcome aboard Coco! Hopefully this thread will be lucky for you ✨ are you tracking ovulation or just seeing how it goes?
im a bit nervous if I’m honest. Cycle 2 for me but I’m in a hurry to conceive, so I’ve done everything & thrown the kitchen sink at it! Just hoping it’s worked…

Coco2021 · 22/07/2022 10:02

Can I join? 🥰
I'm 28 and first month TTC number 1 with hubby. I stopped the progesterone only pill and had withdrawal bleed 13-17 July - so for this month I'm counting that I am around CD 10 or so.
Last year I had MMC and went back on the pill again until I felt ready. But for that cycle I only had my pill withdrawal bleed and then got a BFP 3 weeks later. Cautiously hoping for the same again 🤞💗

How is everyone feeling? It's nice to have ladies to talk about this stuff with. Xx

@Wouldloveanother Haha yeah that's never bothered us 😂Fortunately our bedrooms aren't connected.

Haha! You’re more laid back than me that’s for sure!

@Wouldloveanother I tried opks last time but I found it stressed me out, a bit like the disappointment when poas.

I feel nauseous and achy tummy today which are usually signs af is on the way so I feel like I'm out already! I'm on CD 22 and my cycles are usually 28 days so I think I need to stop trying to guess when I ovulated and just go with that.

How many dpo?
im 3dpo today. 14 days to go! Trying not to symptom spot, it’s essentially pointless.

@Wouldloveanother thank you 😊 will take a look at Amazon 😊 how many do you usually use each cycle? And how do they work? I'll obviously read the leaflet but thought I'd ask for experience haha.

I'm on CD7 today and based on 28 day cycle would say AF due 12th Aug so will test 13th if not arrived.

I use about 15 over the course of a cycle - I start testing around CD6, and test a couple times a day from day 10-14 to make sure I catch the surge 😊 I can recommend the light blue easy@home ones - £8 for 20 I think.

Angie2018 · 21/07/2022 13:32

Hey @Wouldloveanother and thank you 😊 yeah unfortunately it takes sperm 3 months to recover completely but I believe if you have more symptoms it's takes the longer timescale and less symptoms the damage to sperm is a lot less! We had horrendous symptoms unfortunately and OH was extremely bad so I would expect him to have taken the full 3 months for sure!!

Wouldloveanother · 21/07/2022 13:14

Hi Angie, good to have you on board! We had covid back in April - I had no idea covid sperm was a ‘thing’! We took that month off ttc as it didn’t feel right trying with active covid for some reason. Did you have covid symptoms? DH coughed twice and that was it, I had what felt like a very bad head cold. Fingers crossed that your period doesn’t show up!

Angie2018 · 21/07/2022 13:11

Hey ladies can I please join? I am cycle day 16 of cycle 7 TTC, however we did have Covid very very badly so going by all the info on the internet and how it affected 2 of my cycles I suspect we have to write off 3 of those months for sperm recovery 😕 we had a chemical cycle 5. I am 5dpo today losing all hope tbh.... but trying to remain calm. I've been pregnant twice when very young. My OH has 2 teenage children from a previous marriage. We will be waiting until end sept then starting tests privately I think. I won't test until AF actually late. Due 30th/31st july so hoping she doesn't show her ugly face although I suspect she will!

Wouldloveanother · 21/07/2022 08:59

Hey Bird! Oooh will you be able to DTD at your parents house? 😱

1dpo here; and the wait begins! It’s DD’s birthday next week so that should keep me busy for a while, it will be the week after that (8dpo onwards) that I will find it difficult to hold out I think - but I’m determined to stay strong!

TheBirdintheCave · 21/07/2022 08:52

I'm CD14 now and started getting EWCM yesterday so should O in the next couple of days :D Exciting times! We're going back to Liverpool (my home town) tomorrow and staying for a week with my parents so that should kill some time haha.

Hope everyone is holding out and keeping away from those tests!
