Broodymum, well, if you insist, I will rant. CD27 and I know how this cycle will end, the same way the previous 16 did, with nothing to show for it, but some spots and mood swings I am not always this moody though, I promise, I am quite chipper

MT and Ammy would you reccommend acu for ttc purposes? or just relaxation? I remember watching Charlotte on SexandtheCity having acu when she was ftc, and I reckon I might end up like that, getting stressed about not being able to relax

Glastochick and others, be careful with the cough medicine, I read somewhere (so long ago now I can't exactly recall) that you need to make sure it has no other active ingredients than the guifanessin (sp?) as some of them may be harmful to baby - not wanting to scare, just saying research any method you are going to try (sorry if I sound bossy )

Hi! hope its okay if I join you. Just found mumsnet on google and it looks like a great site. we have just started ttc #2 (2nd cycle only) but took 22 months to get pg with #1 so already very anxious!!

I went throughout 1st pregancy with accupuncture and it was fantastic - went in unable to breathe properly, came out without that problem and on my own little pink fluffy cloud where nothing could ruffle me.

Been to one session with ds in tow - not recommended - he wasn't sure about mummy looking like a hedgehog, and I had to spend most of the time worrying about what he was going to do. Also had to shout for assistance when he decided that he needed a wee and I couldn't move (therapist was with someone else at this minute, but came through very quickly, luckily!)

It is very expensive! But i had my 1st session last week and loved it! felt so relaxed afterwards- it was great. Am gonna go weekly til DH says no!!

I'm back on the accupuncture too - restricted myself to once a month as otherwise I'd go every week and its too expensive! However, if I do get a bfp at any stage in the future I'm going to bring my appointment further forward - didn't have treatment in the autumn between finding out and mc - don't know whether it will help, but did go fairly early on with ds.

I've just had a thought - I can bring some steaming cups of hot chocolate and dark chocolate digestives along. Anyone else?

(I can't in rl - allergic to chocolate, intolerant to milk, on diet - so nice to be able to try some for a change on this thread)

Wedding day was beautiful- lovely sunny winters day. Unfortunately though my best mate/cheif bridesmaid was rushed into hosp the night before with an ectopic pg but that was the only downer although a pretty major one. she is ok now- well as ok as you can be!!

Do get pretty low but trying my very very hardest to be very very positive.

I think that I'm lucky that DH fended them off without referring to me and how much pressure I feel under - he told them that he works that way. Lovely DH. Shame I couldn't help hearing the conversation and how bloody long he spent listening to them go on and on...

DH is also very sensible and tells me how lucky we are to have DD (which we are - it took 8 rounds of fertility treatment). He also told me how lucky I was to be healthy when I was pregnant, as I did have a bit of a moan. I felt bloody awful throughout the whole thing, but we had friends who had dreadful health problems, so I knew he was right. Just wish that he could have felt how I felt sometimes!

Yeah, still here. Trying my best, but at the moment, lowest I have ever been 17 cycles, and CD1 of number 18 looks set to start on Friday/Sat. So gutted. But so chuffed that you are loving married life. Tell us about your wedding day

Exactly mistle! it really grates on me..i know when you are pg you have a wee moan of how tired you are and stuff thats normal but she is full blown i hate this and i hate that of being pg..and keeps saying how dissapointed she is because the last baby was a ds and this one is a dd and now she cant use the same baby clothes blah blah!! I would give anything just to have a little bundle no matter the sex.

dont use sudafed hun- use benylin or robitussin

Just googled guaifenisin and found that Sudafed contains it, but also pseudoephedrine hydrochloride as an active ingredient. Does that mean that Sudafed should not be used?

She does not have anyone at all.her family live in england, we are in scot...we are really their only friends that they see and trust...(well as far as i know). I have agreed and my RL best friend says i should not have agreed also(but more because she really dislikes her), but i feel so guilty as i know they dont have anyone else.

I have a friend expecting no.2 and she does nothing but moan and tummy rub. She knows we are ttc but never asks about that- its always me me me and how tired she is and how sick she feels. She even told me to hurry up and get on with it so we could have matty leave together. I'd rather not ta!

BM2 - I know exactly what you mean. I saw a mum I know from coffee mornings outside nursery the other day and said the usual how are you etc - and she said she was expecting - and that it would mean 2 under two

Well FFS - if you didn't want 2 under 2 you know exactly what you should have done about it.

And just to top it all she's due when I would have been if no mc this autumn. Unfortunately I couldn't think of anything to say I was so gobsmacked at her eye rolling and attitude - and I don't normally mention mc but I would have done to her if I'd been thinking straight.

I think last time I was so glad to be pregnant that I didn't care that I felt crap and I don't think anyone except occasionally dh got any moaning...

I was reading on the baby centre site that cough medicine can also dry up cm so i have been trying to avoid it and drink lots of water and me and dp are both taking evening primrose oil as that is supposed to help (TMI alert) it has def helped i have really been a lot more moist in that department !

this a quote from the site about CM.

"No matter what's causing your dryness, drinking lots of water and avoiding antihistamines and the cough and cold medicines that dry up mucous membranes. may increase your amount of cervical mucus. On the other hand, taking cough medicines that contain "expectorants" that thin mucus could help. "
