Hi everyone. Promised myself I'd stay off these threads, but am having a bad evening and need to vent. We've got a 3 yr old and have been ttc no.2 for 8 months now. I had a miscarriage in October. I'm finding the whole ttc thing increasingly stressful, to be honest, and feel like jacking it in and just trying to be happy with the one fabulous little sprog I've got. Just can't believe that with all the rampant sex we've been having I am yet again feeling pre-menstrual and ready for a hellish week of period pains and knowing we've failed again. It seems like our lives are on hold (mine especially) and I don't think I can take another month of it :-(

COOOEEEEE!!!!! Where has everyone got to? This thread fell off my list and I had to go and look for it!

Went to 3rd bday party yesterday with ds at 'soft play' where a lot of bday parties are held - we're aiming to have ds's party at home - good sized garden, so provided that the weather is fine, should be OK. Food is somewhat complicated by the fact that ds is not eating any cows' milk products at the moment. Hopefully a handful of 3 yo will be happy to run round and play in the garden (climbing frame, swings, other stuff)

Still wondering whether to carry on trying, or to call it a day - particularly with the paracetamol issue making any future pregancy potentially problematical...

MT glad u feel ur back on track thats good, i think if we let anyone know the extent of out own thoughts they would lock us up at times!!

Ready Im ok, thanks for asking, i am sadly eagerly awaiting the 10th so i can see the consultant and know whats going to happen next. She will have the full diagnosis for not only my L&D but also the scan i had just before. Its all a hideous waiting game isnt it!!
Work has picked up at the moment and I am out and about alot so its nicley keeping my mind off things.

Party planning complicated by the fact that dates have changed for things and now I will be driving back home on the morning of the party. Luckily, the secretary where I work is good at children's cakes, so she has agreed to do the cake, and I will collect it on the way past. Dh will therefore have to get the rest of the party food etc ready (with ds !!!)

Have started thinking about things like party bags etc. Got a great deal on some tissue paper at Costco - fraction of the price that you can get it most other places.

Ds going to party on Saturday. I hope that th present I picked up is OK!

I've poked my head in there a few times but decided not to stay and get a deeper shade of indigo with the others there.

How are you Viksam? I also don't let dh know everything that's going on in my head, although it is good sometimes to talk about things. I know after my first mc (and subsequent mp) he was devastated too, but he was also very supportive. 15 months ago I didn't tell him for sometime that I was worried that mp coming back (levels not dropping after mc) - and I think that the whole thought of another possible mp put him off for ages - I think that he was employing the rhythm method very effectively which isn't v. helpful when you want to get bfp! Hopefully back on track now, especially with promise of very early scans and continuing support from recurrent mc dept.

Yes I agree wholeheartedly. Even worse when you're having scan to confirm mc. However, at the moement having most problem with 'rl' - at least can prepare for hospital situations. Although I nearly murdered the chav outside A&E on the way to my appointment who had just got outside the door and was struggling to light up as she had a c. 5 - 7mo baby in her arms. arghhhhh!!!!!!! Life's not fair is it.

No. But they can have separate waiting rooms when there are going to be women struggling with fertility sitting with heavily pregnant women - it's not really a sensitive way to handle things.

I know, but you can hardly ban pg women from walking around in public just in case one of us is passing and feeling particularly blue and at the time...!

MT, I am with you... I remember when I went to see the gynae about the results of my HSG, I was in the waiting room for far too long with loads of pregnant women waiting to see their midwives - should be different waiting rooms I think! It's not fair.

Hi Ready... also feeling a bit and - appointment Thurs for recurrent mc was at epu - so lots of pg people around, some of them young enough to be my own child ,,. Too many pg people around too.

Viksam, don't get me starts about chavs with babies. I get so - dh tells me off for being so bitter. And I know he is right, but it is just so unfair!!

Viksam - no, not back on list. Went to recurrent mc clinic yesterday - they were very reassuring and will give very regular early scans for reassurance which will be so good. Have had blood tests and dh has got to have some too - but apparently the chances are that everything is OK. One of the possible things that they might normally suggest is off-limits for me due to previous mp (hormone treatment), so will have to go and see what they have to say when get the test results back.

Viksam - been there, done that... Got to the top of the NHS IVF list twice - got bfp 3 days or so before the appointment at which the actual day of starting would have been set, so know exactly what you're going through at the moment.

poppy* i sooooooooo know what you mean about over analyzing, my god, if people could be in my head they would think i was a loony!! I am really struggling with seeing chavs with kids they dont really want at the moment, it totally does my head in. I totally sympathise with how you are feeling, but it will pass and soon you will feel better, honest! Im not too sure what they do if FHS is too high but there will be something im sure. I would like to go back too, and i think all this sucks, i struggle to keep my head above water and dont let my husband know how i feel most of the time for fear of him thinking he is married to a loony. I did wake up the other night and have a good cry and he was ace. So ur not on ur own, thats why its good here, i dont post alot but to know there are a load of like minded people is really good.

Viksam - yes it was good but since the appointment I have been over anaylsing everything. What do they do if your FSH is too high??? Feeling alittle bit rubbish today, am wondering why all of us have to go through all these tests etc... Used to be carefree etc... now am focused on ovulation, test results etc.. Would like to go back to before all this happened and I was blissfully unaware of all this!!

I have a good excuse my computer is virused up....still, and my DH's computer broke down therefore the whole floor was covered in computer insides for the weekend, nice!
mistlethrush what sort of concert were u playing in? Was it a success?

Has anyone else started down that route? I only ask because as time goes on i feel that might have to be our route, so would be nice to hear anyone elses experiences.

I had an excuse - playing in a concert on Saturday so no access to computer from Friday until now - what's everyone else's excuse?

Sorry i havent been on for ages, my computer has been poorley, DH is out tonight so can jump on his! I took my dressings off on saturday and was surprised to find that they had gone through my belly button!! I was horrified at first coz it looked horrid but now its a bit clearer its ace,it means i wont have a scar, the other incision is very low down and tiny so really doesnt matter. I am badly bruised around the belly button and the shoulder pain lasted through till the sunday, so 3 days but i was well enough to go back to work on monday(op was on thurs)although a bit tired.
Poppy sounds like ur appointment was positive, funnily enough its my left tube thats blocked. I have heard of superfertility after L&D but not so sure in my case due to them not being able to blast the blockage away. One of the reasons i argued with my sister is because she asked me if the tube was dead...........i thought that was really insensitive, now all i can picture is that its like a worm thats been out in the sun too long, funny i know, but horrid too! I have had my appointment through for 11th March, feels like ages away, im sure it will come round quickly. My consultant gave me the choice between HSG and L&D but steered me towards L&D due to never having any pg at all i think. Also have to go back to Docs for further blood tests re thyroid, as i am now on Thyroxin for underactive thyroid. If that hasnt been mentioned its worth having that checked out too. Hope everyone is ok and glad, like i am, that Jan is over, its been a very strange month, glad to see the back of it!!
