I’m now 3dpo and trying to feel positive. My OPK peak times up with when I had EWCM and I’m sure I had some ovulation pain on Thursday. I’ve never realised it before now but I nearly always have a pain for a few hours in between AF’s so guess I nearly always have it but never paid any attention to what is was or why. Even though the timings all line up I still have a fear that I ovulated much later and missed dtd at the right time. I know it’s irrational 😂

@allgoodthings84 ah thank you! And I hope you do too!!

Yeah I get that, it is planned and I do miss the spontaneous times of it being super passionate and exciting. Not that it's not good now it's just that doing it so much on schedule just isn't the same!

Exactly a couple of times is better than none!

Exactly you are not too old at all. I'm 33 and worry though so I totally get it!!

choccy140 · 21/06/2022 13:20

TTC deffo is one of the most stressful things isn't it!

I'm 6DPO and had some cramps this morning and felt like AF was about to start which was odd but I've been pregnant twice before and never had that so could literally be anything.

I'm planning on testing on Saturday at 10DPO- I'll be with my best friend for the night so would kinda like to test with her 🤞🏼

allgoodthings84 · 21/06/2022 13:17

@Angie2018 i hope you get your bfp this cycle! The worst thing is having to plan the sex. Whether it’s SMEP or every other day or whatever it’s still planned with a goal in mind. It’s definitely not the same. I think my partner finds that more difficult than me as he feels like he has to perform even when he’s tired etc. I’ve told him that he doesn’t and if we only get one or two days at the right time it’s better than none.

I don’t know why I keep worrying about my age. I know lots of people get pregnant older than me even and I’ve had 1 child although it was 7 years ago. I had a strong peak on OPK and my heart rate goes up at ovulation (apparently a sign) so it’s all whether I have good or bad eggs now I guess

@allgoodthings84 you are definitely not too old at 37 especially knowing your partner is younger and you have a child already!!

My friend came off the pill at 37 and the next month she was pregnant so first try 😊

I agree, I actually think the waiting is the worst and I am now like come on cycle 6 give me that BFP!

That and I'd quite like sex to go back to how it was and not on schedule 🤣🤣🤣

It's so annoying we are all taught how easy it is to get pregnant because if I had have known I would have started trying last year 🤣🙈

allgoodthings84 · 21/06/2022 13:05

@Angie2018 it’s going to drive me mad! This is only my first month actually properly ttc 😂 I’m hoping it doesn’t take too long for my own sanity.

I keep thinking what if I’m infertile and can’t have any more children now I’m 37 but I have no reason to think that other than the fact I’m 37. My partner is 32 though so it’s younger sperm 🤣

In some ways I hope I do get implantation bleeding so it gives me a clue but I also hope not as I’ll then whittle that AF is coming early as I do spot the day before usually

why can’t this be as easy as we are led to believe when we are teenagers 😂

OP posts:
Angie2018 · 21/06/2022 12:58

@allgoodthings84 I agree, the TWW is actual torture isn't it! How on earth do people relax and forget about it 🤣

Yeah I won't lie, I am always tired because I am a rubbish sleeper too, I love my food, always get sore boobs after ovulation & I get cramps only on the day I start bleeding. But I do get cervix aches a few days running up to AF.

The lack of sore boobs & cervix pains were my signs.

But I think I've learnt over the last 5 months is that some symptoms can be something and some may not. I thought implantation was the start of a very early period and got really sad for a day until I realised it lasted two wipes, cramps were so mild, had headaches and bloated stomach for two days and then realised oh ok that's not period 🤣

allgoodthings84 · 21/06/2022 12:50

I have no idea about implantation symptoms whether I would feel anything or not. I obviously didn’t with my daughter 😂 or if I did it was so insignificant that I didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary. My boobs are only ever sore if I really squeeze them although they got massive when I was pregnant. The day before or morning of AF I get period cramps really bad ones but that’s it. The only way I will know is definitely a pregnancy test which is why I’m going to wait as I don’t think I’ll “feel” pregnant before that anyway. I’m also always tired (rubbish sleeper) and always hungry 😂 so the only thing out of the ordinary for me would be the missed period

the thing that worries me is if this takes say a year that will be 26 weeks of tww! 26 weeks of wondering and time dragging

OCM19 · 21/06/2022 11:40

@allgoodthings84 i’m 3DPO so a day behind you. I’m determined not to symptom spot as like PP said, every month I over analyse! I bet I will though 🙄 the next few weeks are really going to drag! Xx

Angie2018 · 21/06/2022 08:19

@allgoodthings84 it's strange how we do this to ourselves isn't it!! I worry every cycle that I won't ovulate, then I do, that the egg isn't a good one, that I haven't had sex enough even though it's 3-4 times in my fertile period every time, that the sperm wasn't a good one, that I have no symptoms at 3dpo etc etc etc 🤣🤣

I think on the basis I had a chemical last month and I 100% had text book implantation symptoms, squishy high cervix, high temp & no sore boobs, I think il worry that if I get sore boobs that will be me done for the month 🤣 always get sore boobs after ovulation and the one month I caught I didn't!

I have started temping this month and I also wake up in the night sometimes and my data has been pretty spot on. My temp started dipping yday & I got my peak opk yesterday evening, another low temp today & I suspect ovulation will happen tomorrow or later today.... so I would say you could always try it? It's helped me for sure x

allgoodthings84 · 20/06/2022 22:58

@Angie2018 yea it’s funny as I fully know implantation can’t happen yet so nothing would be pregnancy symptoms and I didn’t get any at all with my daughter until I was nearly 7 weeks which is what made me test as thought it was that or I was dying 😂 I wasn’t tracking my AF at that time (or tracking anything or ttc) so didn’t realise I was very late

i was thinking of bbt but don’t think it would work for me as I wake up A LOT in the night and all different times so it wouldn’t be accurate or reliable data. No one wakes me my daughter doesn’t wake until the alarm goes off I have just always woken a lot but not realised how much until my Fitbit

Angie2018 · 20/06/2022 22:41

@allgoodthings84 hey! Haha I do this every cycle then get sad as I don't feel "pregnant" at like 5dpo then have to tell myself off 🤣🤣

I knew last month when I had a chemical because I had zero symptoms when I always get sore boobs after ovulation. I still told myself I was out that month even before implantation was possible 🤣🤣

I got my peak today so due to ovulate sometime over the next day or so. Hoping Wednesday so we get to BD again three more times!!

Had my temp dip today... first time tracking BBT so very interesting 🥰

Angie2018 · 20/06/2022 22:38

@Cdoc haha omg I totally get you!! I am due to ovulate Wednesday and had my static smiley today so hit peak this PM and I am already excited to test 🤣🤣

That's rubbish you miscarried it really is. I guess sometimes things just aren't meant to be - I keep telling myself the right egg will come along eh!!

I also have so much hope for you too! 💜💜

allgoodthings84 · 20/06/2022 20:22

how are you all?

I’ve been stopping myself from looking up symptoms for each day 😂 not for today as 4dpo is way too early and I know me feeling nauseous in the late morning yesterday and today is either in my head or to do with progesterone rising so happens whether pregnant or not as I know full well it’s too early for any actual pregnancy symptoms as I can’t be pregnant yet anyway as too early for implantation. I can’t even think if I normally feel like this and ignore it as means nothing etc. I’m feeling absolutely nothing now though 😂

@OCM19 @Norfolk1983 @CinderellaFant @pongom sending you lots of baby dust too! Let’s hope for lots of positives in this group xx

Cdoc · 20/06/2022 20:12

@Angie2018 how much is this TWW dragging!! The temptation to test is too much, but just trying to tell myself there isn’t any point as it will be negative anyway. Let’s see how long I listen to myself for!

Ah I’m sorry to hear covid screwed with your cycles, that’s absolutely typical isn’t it. We’re actually only on cycle 2, we were lucky to fall pregnant first cycle (on our wedding night!) but just wasn’t meant to be. We also caught covid at our wedding and I can’t help but think that could be part of the reason we miscarried, but I guess we will never know. We postponed our wedding 3 times due to covid so we were desperate to get trying as soon as we were married!

I’m so sorry your first good cycle after all that was a chemical. I’ve got so much hope for you you have much better luck this time 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Now just to make it through the next 10 days test free 🤣we can do it 😊♥️

Angie2018 · 20/06/2022 12:57

@pongom ah ok I understand now! I think it is just time then if there are potential issues but you are both still so young. Are you both taking the correct vitamins? X

CinderellaFant · 20/06/2022 12:10

Hi can I join? Today is day 4PO. I have 3 dc already who I got pregnant very easily with, then I had a miscarriage at 12 weeks in January and been trying ever since with no luck 😭. This month was my first ever using the OPK's so I'm hoping I have better luck this month.

pongom · 20/06/2022 10:41

Angie2018 · 20/06/2022 09:56

@pongom that's a shame they won't help you!! Have you been timing sex correctly? If you don't mind me asking what is your age? If you have children already both of you then surely it's just a matter of time!! X

Yes, we've been timing around ovulation the whole time we've been trying as well as having regular sex throughout cycle due to PCOS. Unfortunately I have PCOS and he has some poor sperm morphology. Sorry, my last post maybe wasn't clear, partner has a child, I don't have any children yet. I'm in my late 20s, he's mid-30s!

I'm remaining hopeful, I've lost a bit of weight recently (not majorly overweight anyway but trying to get BMI below 25 to try and help things along!) so hopefully that will work in our favour! x

Angie2018 · 20/06/2022 09:04

@pongom is this your first baby? We are also doing SMEP too this month! I will only be 9dpo on the first but I'm going to test early this month if I don't have PMS symptoms x

Yes, TTC baby #1, I have a DSC already though. Unfortunately, because DP has a DC already we aren't able to get any fertility help on the NHS so we've just got to keep trying! Hopefully it'll happen one month soon. Approaching the 3 year mark of trying feels scary because it feels more impossible with every passing year! Fingers crossed!

Angie2018 · 20/06/2022 09:04

pongom · 20/06/2022 08:59

I'll be testing on 1st July, I'll be 14DPO. I try to leave it late enough to give my period chance to start if it's going to so I can avoid the heartache of testing!

We've been trying for around 2.5/3 years so not feeling mega hopeful but did try SMEP this month for the first time. Exhausting 😂

Angie2018 · 20/06/2022 08:35

@allgoodthings84 it's funny how when you are with the right person things change! I was the same with my ex husband, didn't want kids. Now with my partner of 4.5 years and want kids!!

Hopefully it wasn't Covid!!

I totally agree it's hard when you want it as you doubt all the signs. 🤣🤣

allgoodthings84 · 19/06/2022 23:17

Hi @choccy140 your timings are same as mine. I’m 3dpo due AF on 30th (or maybe 1st as can vary by a day)

I’m sorry to hear of your mc I hope you get your bfp asap

choccy140 · 19/06/2022 23:02

Hope it's ok to join! I'm due on the 30th, 3DPO!

TTC #2, we weren't planning to try yet for our second but I got pregnant in March ' by mistake' and if was a massive shock, we then were both really excited but unfortunately I miscarried. We decided to wait a couple months before trying again because we have a holiday planned for Jan/moving house in Jan so the timing wasn't right, so this month is our first month officially trying!
