I’m now 3dpo and trying to feel positive. My OPK peak times up with when I had EWCM and I’m sure I had some ovulation pain on Thursday. I’ve never realised it before now but I nearly always have a pain for a few hours in between AF’s so guess I nearly always have it but never paid any attention to what is was or why. Even though the timings all line up I still have a fear that I ovulated much later and missed dtd at the right time. I know it’s irrational 😂

@vitahelp 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I can see your logic!! However feeling groggy just after implantation last month was a sigh for me x

vitahelp · 25/06/2022 10:22

Morning everyone and welcome @WannabeeMummy321 😊
I’m 7dpo today and woken up feeling a bit rough, got stuffy nose and drowsy. I thinks it’s allergies/cold though as DH is similar!! Doesn’t help with my symptom spotting though. Got really dry sore lips this morning too and started overthinking that, the reality is I just need more lip balm on 😂

Angie2018 · 25/06/2022 09:05

@OCM19 ah thanks! And likewise. I think men just don't really get it, and then when it takes a while they kinda start to get on board more. I just pray I get this March baby. To have a baby due on my brothers birthday 13 days before my 34th birthday would be my absolute dream right now. Always wanted a spring baby & one before I turned 34 as I want two and unfortunately met my life partner later in life at almost 29 xx

OCM19 · 25/06/2022 09:01

@Angie2018 same, he really thought it would have happened by now! I hope your OH is ok too. xx

Angie2018 · 25/06/2022 08:45

@OCM19 I guess the fact he's thinking about it is a good thing because he wants it as much as you and he's invested in each cycle like you but its sad it's bothering him too. My OH is a lot more invested now too. I think to start with he thought it would happen within a month or two but now it hasn't I think he's realised it doesn't work like that. Fingers crossed for us all this month x

allgoodthings84 · 25/06/2022 07:36

This is why it’s so good chatting to you ladies, we all know what each other are feeling etc

Morning ladies…last weekend before we test!

@WannabeeMummy321 It’s totally normal to get ahead of yourself in the early days. When we started to TTC my son, we fell on the first active cycle (2nd cycle after coming off the pill) so I guess I had some high expectations this time round. We’re now month 6 so it really depends. It’s hard because everyone says ‘relax it will happen when it’s meant to’ but it honestly takes over your brain. You’re not alone, we’re all in this journey together.

@Cdoc thats the first time he’s truly said how he is feeling. I guess men don’t talk about it as much but hopefully we will all be able to share some good news with them 🤞 x

WannabeeMummy321 · 24/06/2022 23:00

Hi! I’m new here!

we are officially actively TTCing from July’s cycle, but stopped protection this month.

I have a longer cycle (average 34 days), and out of curiosity did OPKs in April and May, and ovulated on CD22&CD23.
this month I run out of my CB Digital tests, and felt like they are too much money for me to just play around with, so I bought cheap ones from Home Bargains.

I only tested in the evenings with the cheap ones cause I forgot, so with the least concentrated wee, but all OPKs were negative. I’ve had very sore nipples and bloating, so going from that i think we DTD before and after ovulation day. 🤷‍♀️

planning to test around the 5th of July, that’s when my next AF is due, but not putting much hopes on it.

I’ve been watching so many YouTube videos and reading statistics about TTC in late 20s, that are giving me such mixed feelings.
i keep counting months - like if there’s a 50% chance we will be pregnant within 6 months, that means there’s a 50% chance I’ll be pregnant in November. 🤦‍♀️
anyone else getting ahead of themselves? Ugh 😩

Cdoc · 24/06/2022 22:36

@OCM19 chocolate sounds about right 😍and ice cream, plenty of that please!

Ah bless your DH, it’s good that he opened up and told you that. You are so right, there isn’t really much focus at all on the dad. It must be hard on them too though. Is that the first time he’s said anything like it?
DH doesn’t talk about it much, but he did after our mmc. I try not to talk to him too much about it and make jokes when I’m ovulating in the hope he says something, but he stays very silent!

OCM19 · 24/06/2022 22:11

@Cdoc haha for me…chocolate 🍫 🤣

OCM19 · 24/06/2022 22:11

@Angie2018 I know, and no matter how busy you are in your life your mind is still consumed by this TTC journey!

my DH came for a walk with me at lunch (we were both wfh today) and he said it’s on his mind a lot too and he’s really sad it’s not happened yet. I don’t know why but I didn’t think he was thinking about it that much so it was a shock to hear it’s affecting him too (obviously for support of each other). How are your other DH’s doing? Often the focus is on the mum only and not the partner!

Cdoc · 24/06/2022 22:09

@OCM19 its so true! I am 8dpo today and honestly every single twinge or anything I’m convinced. Countdown is definitely on now!
How will we get through the weekend 🤣🤞🏼

Angie2018 · 24/06/2022 22:07

@OCM19 I totally agree! The first week is just painful.... the second week I either get my normal PMS symptoms or not. Kinda gives it away but right now at 3dpo I am bored 😫

OCM19 · 24/06/2022 22:03

@allgoodthings84 @Angie2018 @Cdoc thank you, it’s hard to know what to do for the best isn’t it!

ahh ladies I feel like s**t is getting real, 7DPO is like the start of counting down to testing while implantation could happen. We all know that the early part of the TWW is pointless to symptom spot, but next week is the game changer 😬 x

Angie2018 · 24/06/2022 22:03

@allgoodthings84 🤣🤣🤣 we are all different and so it's normal to have or not to have symptoms so I guess we just shouldn't overthink as hard as that is 🙈🤪 says me sitting here overthinking!!!

allgoodthings84 · 24/06/2022 21:56

Yea I didn’t even suspect I was pregnant with my daughter until nearly 7 weeks! I wasn’t tracking periods or ttc so it was only when I thought I was dying or pregnant I took a test 😂

OP posts:
Angie2018 · 24/06/2022 21:34

@allgoodthings84 so many people don't have symptoms until after a missed period so that's normal. I don't have any either! Hoping I get some next week 🤪

allgoodthings84 · 24/06/2022 21:28

@Angie2018 completely normal no symptoms or anything. I’m tired but at this time it’s normal to feel a bit sleepy

OP posts:
Angie2018 · 24/06/2022 21:15

@allgoodthings84 fed up of the TWW already 🤣 how are you feeling??

allgoodthings84 · 24/06/2022 21:06

How is everyone feeling tonight?

OP posts:
Angie2018 · 24/06/2022 20:38

@Cdoc I know right it's painful!!

Angie2018 · 24/06/2022 20:37

@allgoodthings84 that's what I did last month! God so upset and down because I thought my period had come a week early.... infact it was implantation 🤣

Cdoc · 24/06/2022 20:15

@vitahelp oooh bring on the implantation window! That feels like a milestone in what is the longest tww ever.

@OCM19 agree it is definitely the right attitude, it would be absolutely typical that the moment you find something good, you would fall pregnant. I suppose either is a good outcome 🤞🏼Fingers crossed!

@Angie2018 @allgoodthings84 oh god yes the boob twinge, the extra gassy tummy, the slight sore throat, we notice everything! Even things we’d never normally pay attention to. One day closer to testing!

allgoodthings84 · 24/06/2022 20:02

@Angie2018 in some ways (if I am pregnant) then I hope I don’t get implantation symptoms as then I’ll start to worry that I’m spotting early again and stress myself out. If it is actually implantation though I’ll take that 😂

OP posts:
Angie2018 · 24/06/2022 19:48

@allgoodthings84 it's bloody typical tbh that as soon as you TTC cycles mess up! I felt the same but I think for me I was being hyper sensitive about everything I felt. Like now 🤣 "is that a boob twinge" oh I'm out 🙈

Ahhh you may start to get implantation symptoms soon x
