Hi all, so i got a bfp last wednesday at 11/12 dpo tested negative prior to this, so due to recurrent loss I had to go to epu yesterday for bloods they also offered me a scan so I said yes, I was scanned & was told they couldn't see anything just really thick womb lining & told me it was just to early to see anything yet, then my bloods came back at 1575 they told me they wasn't expecting them to be that high due to not seeing anything on scan so now i'm really worried & expecting it to just all go wrong again! Has anybody else been in this situation & had a positive outcome? TIA xxx

@Kerrielouise84 were they all very early losses? Did they put you on progesterone and baby aspirin from ovulation to see if that will help? It seems to help so many women who have had multiple early losses, me included.

My 1st loss babys heart stopped at 9wks 4 days mmc, 2nd loss was a chemical, 3rd loss twin pregnancy mmc at 8 wks then another chemical in march, I'm on progesterone pessaries & 150mg aspirin which I started as soon as I got my bfp this time, as they gave me them in march but by the time I started taking them it was too late I asked about taking them from ovulation but the consultant told me to just start them from my bfp! Xx

So sorry to hear about your ectopic, thankyou for your reply, I am really worried I really hope this dosen't turn out the same as it would be my 5th loss in the past year & don't think I could bring myself to try again 😔 xx

Everyone who is pregnant has an ovarian cyst, it’s what keeps the pregnancy going hormonally in the first trimester. Nothing to worry about at all.

I had an ectopic last year, I had early scans as well but they weren't overly concerned with hcg levels of 1400, but when it reached 2500 they were. I don't want to worry you unnecessarily, but there wasn't anything visible on or around my tube. Make sure you get monotored closely. Having all my fingers crossed for you!

Thankyou for your replys, they did do an internal aswell & she said she'd had a really good look & couldn't see anything suspicious to indicate an etopic ie a mass around the area my tubes are & no free fluid seen either they just said i have a tiny cyst on 1 of my ovaries but they said they would expect to see that sometimes in early pregnancy, I have to go for repeat bloods tomorrow to see if they hav doubled xx

I would try not to worry. The blood results are encouraging. At this stage trying to see anything on a scan is really really difficult. Congratulations on your BFP!

Seeing as you can get a bfp from not much past 3 weeks these days, you might not even quite be 5 weeks now. It would be quite normal not to be able to see anything on a scan before 5 weeks.

But of course there is always a risk of ectopic, especially if your hcg is above 1500 and they can't even see a sac. Unfortunately it will just be a waiting game, but make sure you are aware of symptoms of a possible ectopic.

I really hope that it's a positive outcome for you this time xx

I was told there's nothing to see until the level is above 2000, so I wouldnt worry too much!
