Hi all, so i got a bfp last wednesday at 11/12 dpo tested negative prior to this, so due to recurrent loss I had to go to epu yesterday for bloods they also offered me a scan so I said yes, I was scanned & was told they couldn't see anything just really thick womb lining & told me it was just to early to see anything yet, then my bloods came back at 1575 they told me they wasn't expecting them to be that high due to not seeing anything on scan so now i'm really worried & expecting it to just all go wrong again! Has anybody else been in this situation & had a positive outcome? TIA xxx

Ahhhh your little one looks amazing and SO strong! thanks for the update, I have just gone over the entire thread, so good that you clearly have no trouble falling and that now the progesterone + asprin have done the trick. Wishes of a continued healthy pregnancy xxx

@Kerrielouise84 congratulations on the scan going well. I've just read through this thread and it's great to hear. I have suffered 3 miscarriages so far so I know how it feels.

Have you done anything differently this time?

HCG will still double exactly the same way with an ectopic pregnancy. It's the absence of a pregnancy in the womb combined with doubling HCG levels that can confirm an ectopic initially.

I work in obstetric ultrasound OP. How many weeks do you think you are? 11 days since ovulation would make you about 3 weeks, we can't see anything this early as it's just far too tiny and likely a yolk sac has only just started to develop. Generally we won't see anything before 4/5 weeks and no fetal heartbeat until 6/7 weeks. Your bloods are nothing to be alarmed by.

Thankyou for your reply, I think i'll be about 5 weeks this weekend as I ovulated around the 21/22 of may & got my bfp 1st of june at 11/12 dpo xx

Everyone who is pregnant has an ovarian cyst, it’s what keeps the pregnancy going hormonally in the first trimester. Nothing to worry about at all.

This is not strictly true. I suspect you're referring to the corpus luteum, which appears every month after an egg is released from a dominant follicle. It only produced progesterone to aid pregnancy until about 6/7 weeks and it's not a true ovarian cyst.
