@calimc83 eee good luck! 3dpo now and it feels like the longest few days in the world. Wishing time away!

calimc83 · 19/06/2022 11:14

@Indianna2006 have a wonderful holiday! For all of those in the 2WW I hope you get your BFP 😊..we're officially back on the TTC train as of today! Eek x

calimc83 · 19/06/2022 11:13

@FfayeN hey, so sorry to here about the trisonomy. That's good u got an answer for that MC. When u get told it's just one of those things - It's super frustrating. I just tried downloading the NHS app to see my results..it wouldn't let me 😫 but I'm gonna request them on Monday and go through them all Individually as there idea of fine might not be fine in terms of fertility xx

FfayeN · 19/06/2022 10:52

@ASwimInAPondInTheRain I'm sorry you find yourself here in your journey but you are right it is such a supportive space where we get to be honest about how things make us feel and affect us, with no judgement. I do feel your friend has been insensitive so don't apologise for how that's made you feel, it's such a tricky thing to be pregnant around others that have had losses (my best mate is currently pregnant too and we should be similar in our journeys) and it's hard to be the one that's not pregnant. It's such a hard thing to navigate with lots of guilt and jealousy in the mix.
It's tough having had the CPs too and I understand the rollercoaster of the journey. Have you considered booking with your GP to check all your normal bloods? They should if you explain why. I'd also recommend 'it starts with the egg'. Some chapters won't be relevant and it depends how much you believe or commit too, but I've started to take only a few supplements in the hope of improving my egg quality as I'm fast approaching 37 (no children yet!). I decided on Myo-inositol and CoQ10, reasonably priced and not difficult to add to my normal supplements. (natures best was where I found the myo-inositol).
Hope this helps 😘😘😘 xxx

Hi everyone

I hope I can jump in on this thread which I've just read through. Keen to be part of this supportive online space.
I had a mc in early April at 10 weeks.

Started ovulating again two weeks later - dtd, tested early - was a chemical (had already tested negative after mc before dtd).

This month had a chemical too. Will try hard to not do any more early tests as I can't cope with the disappointment of cps but it's hard to wait isn't it!

Have been feeling sad but ok ish about it all until yesterday - I saw a friend who is 22 weeks (we were almost the same no of weeks pregnant before I miscarried) and I feel so shit after seeing her. She was never in touch with me after I miscarried which I thought was wildly insensitive so I've avoided her and not been in touch with her like I used to be. Yesterday she said I should be grateful to know I can get pregnant. I feel so hurt, as if she is thinking that I could possibly feel like that. She had a tricky fertility journey for this pregnancy so I understand a little about where that tone deaf statement is coming from. But that attitude is so hurtful. Like is she really thinking that? What a wild thing to say.

I've also heard from another friend who has had a similar experience of miscarriage and TTC recently and she is ten weeks pregnant. I am really happy for her but am now feeling really low about my own situation. Up until yesterday - my friend's crappy remarks - I've been sad and mindful about my experience and conception journey but now I just feel pretty desolate and hopeless about it.

I already have a ds who is 4.5 yrs. We waited a long time before ttc this time round as we had a pretty difficult couple of years and wanted to get out of that particularly challenging space before ttc. I'm now wondering if waiting so long was a mistake (I'm 36, my dp is 44).

Just looking for some reassurance or comfort I suppose after being told I should be grateful to have had an mc. It also feels crap to have had a mc and 2 cps in 3 months.

@curliegirlie @theblueflowers

ugh tell me about it!! Come on we can do this lol.

packing tests in my case. But..gonna try hold out until 14dpo when I’m due my period that day as I’ll be on holiday. But we shall see 😂😂 optimistic maybe

theblueflowers · 18/06/2022 23:01

I'm 5dpo @Indianna2006 and @curliegirlie!

It's going to be a long week...

curliegirlie · 18/06/2022 15:14

Oooh @Indianna2006 I’m also 5dpo! Going to try my best to sit on my hands until the end of the week 🤣

Indianna2006 · 18/06/2022 14:02

@mooneagle I bled for week after surgical management. Had tried medical 2 weeks before though. So took 3 weeks to get negative test from main miscarry as the ERPC was for retained tissue and I ovulated the day I got my negative. My body went BOOM off we go again

In 2ww now ladies. 5DPO today. First proper cycle since mc after the chemical last month. But that was before my first AF since the surgery 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

FfayeN · 18/06/2022 12:13

@curliegirlie absolutely that! I got told mine was fine about 6 weeks ago and it was at 0.12, I know they like to have it over treated but that just seemed way too low for me and worried that it would mess my cycles up. I just like to know for reassurance....control freak alert 😂😂😂

curliegirlie · 18/06/2022 11:42

@FfayeN glad you had that appt with your gynae, I think that does sound positive about the T15 in that it's most likely to have been just a random occurrence and not a hereditary genetic issue. That's a good tip about the NHS app - I should request full access too, as I have hypothyroidism and when you ring up for bloods results the receptionists only ever say it's fine etc. rather than giving the actual TSH level, which is irritating.

FfayeN · 18/06/2022 11:11

@calimc83 'weren't' just ok. Blooming autocorrect!

FfayeN · 18/06/2022 11:10

@calimc83 sorry you've been through some miscommunication with your GP. I added the NHS app and requested full access (it's quite easy once you have a profile), that way I could also check my levels to make sure they were just 'borderline' ok. We need optimum all the way!! Might be worth it so you can look too rather than always taking their word for it. I don't doubt they do their best but they'll never be as invested in best levels as we are 😊 xx

FfayeN · 18/06/2022 11:07

So I had my consultation yesterday with the NHS gynaecologist after my miscarriage in March. The baby had Trisomy 15, which is actually a bit of a relief in some senses. At least something was wrong. I'll never know about my 1st and 2nd, and she's testing me and DH for any signs it's us. She did say it just seemed like bad luck, not overly reassuring! Had my biopsy for the CERM trial Wednesday, and once those results are in we can finally start TTC again. I am nervous, but I think we're going to give it a go without any additional treatment once more (just progesterone and doxycycline if my biopsy is positive). The gyno seemed certain that my thyroid wasn't the issue here and that if my levels were good pre conception any jump would be ok, but I guess time will tell 🤞🏼, she and Prof Quenby both took bloods and my gyno had heard of the trial and was supportive so that's reassuring.
Good luck to all those going again this cycle and feeling for those who AF comes to visit again. xxx

FfayeN · 18/06/2022 11:01

@mooneagle mine was about 5 weeks but I did bleed for 3 weeks after surgical management. I then ovulated about 2 weeks after I finished bleeding so almost like my body thought I'd had AF. Xx

mooneagle · 18/06/2022 10:23

Hi ladies I’m two weeks post my miscarriage and did a pregnancy test today but still positive. Have any of you ladies got an idea of when I would expect that to return to normal? I assume I can’t ovulate while HCG is still high?

bunnykins123 · 16/06/2022 21:21

@Chellooo Im here with you! I feel all achy and know O is due tomorrow so like you, its scheduled bding for us tonight 😂 (I'm actually knackered and really just want a early night, wearing my comfy non-sexy pjs...)

Cdoc · 16/06/2022 21:01

@Chellooo it makes dtd feel like a chore doesn’t it!

Chellooo · 16/06/2022 20:16

Hi Ladies, joining in again as I'm gearing up for ovulation after my first Af after surgical management for miscarriage in May! Can feel the tell tale twinges in my back so testing like a lunatic.... just means I have to dtd now with hubby 🙄 lol

calimc83 · 16/06/2022 07:19

@Cdoc I know! Annoyed about the folic acid test as well 😡..she didn't recommend supplements ( as can cause constipation) advised me to try improve levels through diet x

Cdoc · 15/06/2022 21:00

@calimc83 that sounds like a bit of progress, though not good you were told the iron levels were okay when they clearly were not! Which supplements did she advise you to take?

Cdoc · 15/06/2022 20:36

@theblueflowers thank you! That’s good to know, though sorry your cycles are all over the place. Hope they settle down soon 🤞🏼I can understand the need for mental space, it’s a complete battle between that and wanted to fill the hole that has been left behind

calimc83 · 15/06/2022 15:33

Good luck to all those in the 2WW. I have everything crossed 🤞🏻 for you..so had an interesting chat with my GP today. She's also gone through a MC so she seemed to just 'get it'...which helped! Anyhow, I'd had my basic bloods done last week. I called up and was told all results were back and no further action required, but, when I actually called and asked to speak with the same GP turns out my Iron is at the lowest end of the normal threshold so advised to boost this via diet/supplements. Turns out the folic acid test hadn't come back 🙄..so that's been re requested. Thyroid, vit D etc all fine so that's something. She advised to drink 2L of water a day to help with CM and she said she'll refer me for a pelvic US..so that's something I guess. X

theblueflowers · 15/06/2022 11:01

Morning! I'm officially 1DPO today so the TWW begins! AF due on the day that I also go on holiday- wonderful timing!

I got my peak on CD25 so it's been a very knackering few weeks!

@Cdoc I'm on my second cycle since my mmc, and mine are all over the place still. There is no reason to wait, but I know quite a few women just need that mental space from it.

TheBirdintheCave · 15/06/2022 09:46

@Indianna2006 I didn't bother taking any tests when I went abroad. AF was due five days into our holiday but showed up two days early 🙄Oh well. Holidays are a great distraction though. I found that the two week wait flew by as I was so busy planning and packing.
