mibbes I ovulated on day 9, so I'm already 5 days past 'O' will be able to pee on a stick in another 5-6 days
congrats sambrads on seeing your bean's little HB it's a wonderful feeling X
digitalgirl welcome back, I hope you enjoyed your holiday? as I 'O' early this month digi does it mean that AF will be due on CD 23?
Also do you know if the cervical position stays high straight after 'O' if you conceive?
Kate really sorry that your doc couldn't have been more positive for you, I thought that seeing the HB and measuring the right amount of weeks would have been enough to stop any doubts, and that the bloods were just a 'blip' don't know what else to call them? I really do hope that all is well for you XX

MrsEi25 · 08/02/2008 14:20

hi ladies

Afternoon ladies,
Hi sam wonderful news , how exciting!!! did they give you a picture to take home? My first pic of DS was when he was a mere 9 week old jumping bean. It was sooo funny to watch on the screen. I couldn't stop laughing! I look at the picture now and wonder how on earth was he so small! .
He's now a strapping 2.5 yr old

Great news sambrads am so please for you
Sparklymummy I also get brown spotting pre-AF and these days don't count - have been taking Vit B6 to try and get rid of this as mine starts on 10dpo which could be luteal phase defect (it lasts for up to 6 days !). I'll post on here how this works out in the next 2 weeks.
Fairy sounds like you have done all you can - swimmers can last several days - I'm also hoping that they can last several days this cycle just in case don't manage bd tonight (off to the pub )
never & Treats it sounds like we are ov buddies as well as cycle buddies - yey !
Will make big effort to bd before tomorrow as swimmers from Wed night may not make it if I don't ov until tomorrow.

Treats · 08/02/2008 11:55

Sambrads that must have been so lovely - lucky you!

NOAM - haven't particularly noticed that bd-ing close to ovulation is more painful, but perhaps it's because you're more anxious than normal?? I know that I feel a bit more tense - feeling that I HAVE to rather than WANT to. I'm sure a couple of beers will help!!

I had more EWCM this morning too - but I also noticed definite changes - my skin is better than it has been for days and my breasts are beginning to feel a bit tender. Not sure if that means I am ov'ing, or have ov'd, but will keep bd'ing all weekend, just to be sure .

sparklymummy I started getting pre-period brown spotting just a few months ago, and have had it for every period since. Not sure why. But my book says it doesn't 'count' as the first day of your period - the first day of 'proper' red bleeding is CD1. Hope that helps.

scully · 08/02/2008 11:21

Hello everyone
So who's thinking of testing this weekend?? CD12 for me today, so hopefully getting busy with dh sometime soon It's 9.19pm Fri night here though so if he doesn't stop watching Lara Croft movie on tv, I'll be asleep
Great the scan went well Sambrad

its so so small and the mw said there is only one but cant be 100% certain but i suppose they have to say that

how are you today fruitloop?

twinklingfairy · 08/02/2008 09:39

Well, FF has finally decided that I have ov'd on CD19. I am norm CD17, but it has all been put out this month cos of a UTI. I don't believe them Ach well, not much I could do about it either way cos DH went off, on a course, on Tuesday. We did the best we could. Hope the wee guys held out for the couple of days, if I did ov on CD19

sparklymummy FF says that AF is counted from the first day of full flow, so looks like ou are back to CD4, sorry.

mibbes · 08/02/2008 08:16

Thanks for updating list Emmsy, any sign of ov for you yet this cycle ?
I had another +ve opk this morning so will have to try and seduce dp tonight. Temps still low, just wish the rise would hurry up now ! Hopefully tomorrow...

SparklyMummy · 07/02/2008 22:24

Just popped in after a hectic day. Looking forward to half term next week. I know a few people who have had MMC and I agree that they are sooo cruel.
Day 5 for me today...or 4 not really sure whether that brown discharge counts as day 1...what does everyone else think? I am tempted to buy some OPKs.
Also booking a night away next week for me and the DP so there might be some opportunities for babymaking then (and no toddler to interfear lol).
Good luck tomorrow SAM
Nos da all (goodnight) X

MMC sounds just awful. I hope to god I never have to go through one of those. I've only ever had one MC and that was when I was V young (like 16 )- a complete surprise pg. It was very early on (only 6 wks - prob cp) and a very long time ago.
I've been suspicious of a MC (or CP) twice. once was my last AF. But I figured as I'd had an 88 day cycle it was just a build up of AF

cricri · 07/02/2008 17:07

Kate Sorry to hear your GP was so negative... But your bean has proved her wrong so far so will hopefully continue to do so! Fingers crossed for you.
ClairePO Sorry AF arrived
FL My mc was a mmc too and I second everything Kate says. All mcs (and CPs) are cruel, but a mmc is particularly cruel. Especially when you find out at the 12 week scan that your body has been fooling you for a number of weeks

fruitloop79 · 07/02/2008 17:07

oh babies ha ha

sambrads · 07/02/2008 16:27

hi ya fruiloop went to the docs today and she phoned the early pregnancy unit and they were so busy that they said i had to come tomorrow at 9

well at least the baby will be 1 day older

mibbes · 07/02/2008 15:59

Kate no apology required, it is understandable that you are after what doc said. When is your next scan ? Can they give you anything to help sustain PG ? I read that Vit B6 is often advised to avoid MC but I'm not sure exactly why so you should seek medical advice first. I guess if there was anything to help they'd have given it to you. I have everything crossed for you missus

kate2179 · 07/02/2008 15:54

Hello ladies
How is everyone today?

Great to see you back DG I'll be keeping everything crossed for you for tomorrow, really hoping for good news for you.

The roller coaster continues here. Feeling a bit today. Nothing's happened, apart from that I spoke to my GP who said how surprised she was to hear my scan results (told her we were too!) But then she said we're not out of the woods yet, and that she wouldn't put any money on the pg succeeding yet. Wish I hadn't asked her what she thought now . I just want to feel positive, I don't know how long I'll be able to feel that way, but surely that's got to be better than assuming the next scan will reveal out worst fears?
Hope I'm not being insensitive moaning on here, I know the bfp is the first big hurdle, am just so desperate to hang on to it!

FL the other really cruel thing about mmc is that sometimes you have no bleeding and good pg symptoms but it's still not developing. So you feel pg - cos in a way you are, the placenta's still attached so keeps developing - but no baby at the end of it. Sucks! Mine was a mmc, had a tiny bit of spotting then a scan when should have been 7-8 weeks but had stopped developing between 4.5 and 5 weeks - which ironically was when I first found out I was pg...

Goondess, listen to me! Think I need to go and give myself a good slapping followed by a strict taking to. Sorry.

glastochick · 07/02/2008 15:38

Oooh, I didn't know B6 helped your metabolism. Bonus

I've got a luteal phase of bang on 10 days, so started taking it this month as I read it can help extend it. What I'd really like is to OV earlier (anyone know how to make that happen??), as I'm quite happy with my 27 day cycle to be honest, just don't like OV'ing on day 17

I did try EPO a couple of months ago for the first part of my cycle but saw on one thread someone who was told by a MW they were surprised she managed to conceive taking it, but maybe for the first part of the cycle it is ok.

One thing that is really bugging me at the moment is my spots!!! Honestly, since coming off the pill my face looks like a pizza. Maybe I should rename myself Margherita . My skin seems to improve when I OV, but as soon as AF arrives it breaks out again

MrsEi25 · 07/02/2008 15:02

sorry FL didnt put an MMC is a Missed miscarriage.
xx ei xx

MrsEi25 · 07/02/2008 15:00

hi ladies
how is everyone today??
GGG sorry to see you go xx hope to see you soon with your BFP
FL a MMC is where you have a MC and find out that the baby has died weeks before and you stayed preg iyswim. alot of people actually find out at the 12 week scan about their MMC. my MC was a MMC aswell.(5 years ago now) in my case i started bleeding and lost the baby and the doc who examined the MC contents (crude i know but i dont know how else to describe it) said that the baby had died 3 weeks before. it is quite a common thing in MCs apparantly. HTH
nothing to report here
DG nice to see you back here and good luck with your scan tomorrow
