emmsy its basically all about whether you feel as if you will benefit from having the ADs if the answer is yes then it is the right route for you if not then it might be worth having a bit of counselling. everyone has times where they need to let people help them and maybe this is your time. dont feel silly for speaking to your GP as it was obviously bubbling just under the surface ready to come out. this might be the ideal time to 'deal' with some of the issues you mentioned. we are all here as a supportive friend to you so feel free to air your problems here aswell. {{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}

Sorry for posting twice, it's this damn laptop, it's a bit like me, over sensitve!

Emmsy1 · 28/01/2008 23:45

Thanks for the advice TF and MrsEi25
I think the doc came to his conclusion because I told him I was feeling anxious and a bit paranoid and that I can't help feeling partly responsible for something awful that happened to my younger brother. I really can't go into it too much. I have been going through hell psycologically for about 2 years, and then I suppose having two m/c's in the last 10 months, and also worrying alot about a few other health issues that have still to be diagnosed, has just pushed me alittle over the edge today! I feel really stupid now, I wish I hadn't gone to the doctor's for eye antibiotics!

MrsEi25 · 28/01/2008 23:16

emmsy i agree with TF that it sounds a bit of a rushed diagnosis. how do you feel in yourself?? have you had a really bad time of it recently emotionally??(you dont have to answer if that is too sensitive a question) its just that with depression whether it be postnatal or not there are often features/symptoms such as anxiety, and extreme emotional oversensitivity. also from alot of explainations of those who live with depression they have feelings that things are always dark (in their mind) and they dont see things getting any better. it isnt something which should be diagnosed lightly and also medication isnt always the best way to treat it. counselling can sometimes be the best route for many. if you dont feel comfortable taking the medication maybe go back and see your doctor and ask to be given the other options as you DO have other options HTH xx {{{{{hugs}}}}}}

twinklingfairy · 28/01/2008 22:45

Golly, that sounds like a knee jerk reaction by the doctor.
I don't know what it is like to have a MC, but I imagine that you are just frustrated by the trying and that can be a strain, which could easily have caused you to cry to the doctor. I know I have been in tears to a doc before. Does it mean you have to be given strong drugs?
Is that a strong drug though.

Oh, I just don't know maybe someone better than me will be along soon. But I can totally understand your thinking but I would be too scared to take the prozac and TTC as well. I am a worrier though

Sorry, I was no help at all. But I didn't want you to feel alone out there.

Emmsy1 · 28/01/2008 22:10

Hi girls, {waves back to cricri, my new CB}
I,m not really sure what to do at the moment. I went to the Dr's today to get some antibiotics for my eye infection, and ended up breaking down in front of the doc! He told me I have post natal depression?, because of my last two M/C's and prescribed me with the mini-pill and Fluoxetine 20mg(prozac) he said I must not try for a baby while I am on this medication. I agreed with him and came home, I have took my first anti-depressant but not my mini-pill (I threw the first one down the loo!) I have told my DH that I have taken it!
I can't bring myself to take the pill, I have tried to find out about prozac and pregnancy and haven't found anything to worry about I am thinking about taking the prozac for a couple of months and still TTC, if I get pregnant I will then stop it. The pressure of 'performing on demand' will also be taken off my DH if he thinks I am now on the pill. Anyone got any thoughts on this?

MrsEi25 · 28/01/2008 21:21

i agree TF i am just about to go and run(well hobble) and put my own nice relaxing bath on cos DH is watchin the soaps on the sky+ so i dont get a look in for the 2 hours they r on on a monday
littlesquirt i do hope i get a BFP too but at least if its not this month i know it will happen at some point soon esp seems as how we have worked out our expected completion date on the house and it will be around the time when we completed on the sale of the one we r living in now fate??....i think it might be!! cant you tell i am being positive today...well now i am...

Oh dear your silly man It only takes one swimmer. Doesn't matter how they get there or how long the dancing takes. They are such silly creatures. But heh, you wouldn't be without them eh?
He better be doing a better job of looking after you with your back hurting you. Or we'll be round to sowrt 'im 'aat!!

LittleSquirt · 28/01/2008 20:52

Hey MrsEi, you have a good memory!!

My op on 21st did go very well, thank you! No more adhesions in my uterus which was the best news we could get. Am now waiting for AF (no idea when it might arrive as I have just had breakthrough bleeding from stopping oestrogen). There def won't be a BFP for me this month because we are not allowed to to try until after next AF.

One of us MUST get a BFP this month so I'll just have to be you!!! I hope so!! xxx

MrsEi25 · 28/01/2008 20:47

hi littlesquirt my CB!! how have you been?? did you get the all clear?? i hope so

LittleSquirt · 28/01/2008 20:40

fruitloop79 · 28/01/2008 18:22

Well apparently my medication is slightly high by 25mgs. But GP didn't suggest lowering it.

Now this is confusing:

You know my wonderful +OPK this morning? well just done it again just now and it's really faded. It's there but just faint. On the instructions if it's not the same colour as control line or darker then it's a neg. Great! I thought I was Oving . Or maybe cos I didn't do one yesterday it might have been darker yesterday and this is just the end of it??? Oh I hope so. It's all so confusing. I just wish there was a definate yes or no to TTC questions!

sambrads · 28/01/2008 17:13

THANKS SO MUCH MRSEI25!!!!!

OH IM SO EXCITED BUT FEEL LIKE IM WALKING ON EGG SHELLS!!!!

I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL ABOUT YOUR BACK!!

ONE SPECIALIST SAID I SHOULD NOT HAVE ANYMORE KIDS BUT THATS NOT AN OPTION IN MY HEAD SO HOPE FULLY I WONT BE CRIPPED AFTER THIS PREGNANCY!!!!!

MrsEi25 · 28/01/2008 17:07

hi ladies WOWEE its like BFP central on here the past few days
congratulations sambrads i nearly cried when i read you had a BFP its lovely to see that with your prev probs and having to have clomid that you have your positive result im soooo happy for you
more HHHUUUUGGGGE congrats to pistachio and hedgepig i cant believe how emotional and happy hearing the BFP stories is when you see it on here i was MEGA when i heard about a family friend who is preg and has only been tryin for a month or two i felt really guilty but you guys know how i feel i reckon as it has been mentioned here before
sorry to those who were caught by TEW
a bit of a turn down for the books here TTC-wise. i have pulled my back out and DH isnt impressed as according to FF i Ov today (even though i think i have Oved already) and we were only able to get a quicky in last night cos i was in agony needless to say him with his man-logic decided to himself that it has to be a marathon BD session every time and wont be persuaded any other way so apparantly its 'my fault' if it doesnt happen this month i feel like poo and he is being a prize prat so i think im out for this month...
FL sorry to hear about your DPs crash in your car men eh!! but at least it has jolted him on board the TTC train at last
hi to everyone else and sorry if i have missed any other comments my head is stuck firmly in my bottom today (prob the reason for the bad back) will reread with a pad and paper if i have missed anythin
