Hello ladies.

So this is my story. I am 30years with a beautiful DD, aged 4. We decided we would finally give start trying for baby #2 in May. However, as we had a big family holiday planned for 14 nights during May this meant that we were only able to try prior to going on holiday. So we figured that month was completely out of the question.

My period was due towards the second half of the second week away but Instead I had very sore breasts and a super bubbly stomach. I just figured it was PMT symptoms especially as it was accompanied by spotting.

The spotting continued, everyday. On arrival home, I did a pregnancy test, really not believing I could be pregnant since we were unable to even really "try". To my shock and delight it was positive!

I had some spotting on my DD during early pregnancy so didn't think too much into it. However, the spotting got worse. I tried contacting a local midwife who advised that as I was only 4.5 weeks pregnant there was nothing I could other than wait it out.

It continued, with period cramping pains and a lower bad back, although they were mild. The spotting colour changed to bright red and then on Wednesday (last week) I knew I was completely miscarrying. We are devestated but we understand these things happen. I'm also trying not to overthink everything as that's what I always do.

I've now stopped bleeding. And feel that I've gone through a bit of an emotional roller-coaster the last week. We would like to try again, straight away. So I guess I'm looking for a little advice.

The Dr told me it's probably best to wait a cycle before trying again but looking online there doesn't seem to be any benefit or logic to this if you know you miscarried earlier in pregnancy and have passed the full miscarriage. Do you think I will be fine to immediately try again without first having a period?

And then if I was successful would I just count my pregnancy from the miscarriage bleed? (father than 1st day of last period)

I was thinking of booking a ultrasound scan privately to check the endometrium lining is thick enough to support a pregnancy. Do you think this is wise? And if so, do you think 2 weeks following MC would be the best suitable time to book a scan to view the thickness?

Also, people have told me how common MC is and how I obviously must have found out super early in pregnancy. But I didn't think we did find out super early? A few people have passed the same remark ; " you found out early if you was only 4.5 weeks. Most people don't know until later" now I understand if I hadn't of done a test then I would have assumed this MC was my period. However, I was 3 days passed my due period when I tested so? 😳 Isn't finding out your about 4.5 weeks pregnant about the usual??

Sorry for the ramble. I guess it's nice just to write everything down 🤷🏽‍♀️.

Thanks.

@Lauren441 so happy you had such a great scan!! A heartbeat so early must be such a good sign!

@WaitingWatchingPeeing so sorry you're feeling so rough. Nausea in this heat is so rough. Defo speak to the gp and see if they could help.

I'm so happy, today's scan showed measuring one day ahead at 7+2, strong fast heartbeat in the lil bean! So cool to see it. I cried with relief when I left. I know it's not ever going to be 100% out of the woods but it felt like a big step in the right direction. I'm going to tell closest family today! Eek.

Hope you're all OK in this heat! Xx

Thanks @WaitingWatchingPeeing ❤️ sorry to hear you're having a rough time with sickness, but at least it's a good symptom to confirm everything! Remember to drink plenty of water and try to eat small snacks. If you struggle to keep food down then grab yourself some sports drinks so you can at least replenish your salts and get some sugar in your system.

Rest up xx

Hi Ladies,

Iv just caught up and so exciting to read about scans, heartbeats & lines getting stronger 😍 congrats all 🤍

Sorry to hear AF showed her face and best of luck for this cycle @TheCakeIsALie18

Sorry for the radio silence, nausea and morning (all day) sickness has just wiped me out this last week. Iv been barely able to move and working/looking after her DD has been so rough with regular runing to the loo to be sick. But obviously it is nice to have very obvious symptoms now. I think I will go to the gp if it carries on as I'm not sure I can cope another 6-7weeks of this!

I also have a scan booked but for next Tuesday so I should be between 7-8 weeks very nervous and excited

Xxxxx

Lauren441 · 18/07/2022 14:19

@laurzz @TheCakeIsALie18 - thanks ladies!

@laurzz - ill wait until my 12 week now, unless there's a need to go earlier for any reason. Hopefully that's not the case though. :) yeh I was suprised to see a heartbeat at 6+1 but she said its probably started very recently. 😍 How are you feeling?

@Lauren441 heartbeat at 6+1 is amazing. Will you go for anymore scans or wait until your 12 week one? Delighted for you 💕

TheCakeIsALie18 · 18/07/2022 10:29

@Lauren441 Glad I could make you chuckle haha. Not sure how he will respond if I asked for a vile of it 🤣🤮

Oooooh that's soo cuuuuteee ❤️❤️ I'm glad the scan went well and everything is looking good xx

Lauren441 · 18/07/2022 10:21

@TheCakeIsALie18 - that made me chuckle! 😂 Maybe just ask for a vile of it instead 😂.

@yorkshiremumofone - fantastic results my lovely! All good signs ❤️.

I had my scan this morning! I can confirm it's one single babe (thankfully 😂) and is measuring just under 1 centimetre!!!!!! And despite being officially only 6+1 weeks, babe already has a flickering heartbeat. ❤️ Fingers crossed all continues this well 🤞🏼❤️

@yorkshiremumofone that line is very strong and amazing news on the bloods. Sounds like everything is going in the right direction 😁. Nothing worse when someone asks 'if your pregnant' when your trying to hide it😂. X

TheCakeIsALie18 · 18/07/2022 08:29

Hey everyone. Hope you've had a good weekend! I've taken a few days away from here during AF. CD5 and AF has now buggered off so on to trying to find a way to start DTD without body contact in this heat 🤣

I'm glad your bloods are on the up @yorkshiremumofone

Can't wait to see see scan pictures for the two of you getting scans this week ❤️❤️

yorkshiremumofone · 18/07/2022 07:59

Bloods are 704, so gone from 334 to 704! So I'm taking that as a good sign!!

Maya12345 · 17/07/2022 09:00

@yorkshiremumofone aw that's good you have some fun things to keep occupied while u wait! 🤞🤞🤞
Haha yeah I know that's what my husband said about the nausea! My dad was here yesterday and it was so hard to hide as I couldn't really eat and he was like omg are you OK?! I just blamed covid haha!

@Lauren441 glad to hear you're OK, hope the nausea isn't too horrendous! It's so much harder in this heatwave isn't it?! Oh that's so exciting you have your scan tomorrow! That'll be so interesting to see how far you actually are. Hope all goes well, keep us posted!

Hope everyone's had a lovely weekend xx

Lauren441 · 16/07/2022 19:57

@maya12345 - hiya lovely! All good here thanks, seem to be having waves of sickness also but never actually being sick. And I too have a scan next week, but mine is Monday. I'm not as far gone as you, so I'm not sure we will see anything really but they are dating me as 8 weeks on Monday because all they have to go off is the MC date. But I know I ovulated much later in the cycle so I'm expecting to see a scan accurate to about 5.5/6.5 weeks. But who knows 🤣🤷🏽‍♀️. So glad you're feeling better now, imagine being struck with covid now, with this heat - Yikes!

@yorkshiremumofone - hopefully good news for you on Monday with your results. I'm sure it will be!

@waitingwatchingpeeing - hope everything's OK lovely?

@Maya12345 hey lovely, no results yet, doctor said rang me and said she couldn't get them in time, the doc has been amazing! I have the wedding today
and a family thing tomorrow so maybe it's a blessing I don't know if it isn't the news I wanted incase I panic but I'm just taking it day by day and thinking of Monday 😳🙈🙈 she's going to ring me first thing.

I will test again tomorrow morning I think! Did one yesterday afternoon and still very strong!!

Ohhhhh sorry about the nausea! At least it's a symptom! I can't wait to get some!!! How you feeling about going back to work?

Hope everyone else is well xxx

Maya12345 · 16/07/2022 11:56

Sorry, posted early - @WaitingWatchingPeeing @Lauren441 how are you both doing?

@mum2yorkie - welcome 🙌🏼

Sorry to learn about your mis. 💔 we are generally a lucky thread so fingers crossed for a BFP soon. 🤞🏼

@TheCakeIsALie18 - nevermind, onwards and upwards. your still equally as fertile for the next 3 months so for now, enjoy the wine and baby making! 🙌🏼❤️

@TheCakeIsALie18 - not that your not fertile after three months. 🤦🏻‍♀️ That totally come out wrong, sorry. Its just some people say your extra fertile after a pregnancy for a few months. But there's no actual truth to to show your any extra fertile to anyother month really. But it's nice to believe in the myth when it's on our side 🙌🏼 x

@laurzz - 15 weeks! Woah, this is amazing. ❤️ Have you told everyone yet?

I have an early scan booked for Monday - fingers crossed they can have a better indication of how far along I am. They're currently estimating me at 7 weeks but, I think the scan will show earlier. Fingers crossed all will be OK though 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

My levels are 334 Is that good I was 4 weeks yesterday!? Im worrying as doc said we need to discuss further and she'll call me

@Laurzz

I think maybe you meant to tag me here @yorkshiremumofone.

At 4 weeks anything from around, 10 - 708 miU/ML would be considered average. So 334 is fab. Try not to panic too much about these numbers. The bracket for each week is so broad, and honestly varies massively from one pregnancy to the next. A higher hcg level does not mean a better or more successful pregnancy - I cannot stress this enough! Your count could have been 50 and I would have suggested it was normal. The general pattern of hcg for numbers below 1000 is that it doubles every 48hrs, or close too. It doesn't have to be exact. But near enough. So your looking for 600 or close to that. Hope this helps lovely. X
