I took a test last night and it looked negative after a few mins so I put it in my drawer and fell asleep and then checked it this morning and there was a second line. I don’t want to get my hopes up but I’ve never had any sort of line before so I’m unsure what to make of it (I’m 10dpo) any advice would be welcome!

Thank you, that's really kind. On and off since October 2020. We took a massive break in the build up to our wedding which was in December (too much stress especially with a mutant variant!) anyway, only started again properly this month but have been having un protected sex the whole time although not a lot and potentially not at the right times. Even still I just thought it would happen. All my friends have their babies now and I feel like I'm on the outside looking in. Xxx

Sadly AF arrived this morning so going through the usual motions Sad I thought TTC would be so easy. I think maybe it just won't happen x

Oh I'm so sorry @Wilf2020 xx
It's a horrible thing when it arrives. Especially after getting those tests with those lines on, alot of us women know how your feeling ❤.
Stay positive, another cycle is happening and this cycle may turn into a BFP!
Don't give up. ❤
How long have you been trying xx

Any luck in testing again?
I know its so frustrating - I had a very faint line on a pink dye test last month but turned out it was false and must of been an evap. Its disheartening, best of luck for you 🤞🤞

Monstertrucks · 30/05/2022 08:51

Have you managed to test again OP?

Very best of luck to you x

Wilf2020 · 29/05/2022 17:23

That is just crazy isn't- I mean it's their one bloody job! I just want them to tell me if I'm pregnant or not and then I can either celebrate or have a big glass of wine lol!

Thin blue lines like those are very often evap lines sorry op x

PeachesToday · 29/05/2022 16:34

The first one looks like just my CB from a few months back. I took the test and ended up getting called away. Went back 30 mins later and it had that thin off centre line. I wasn’t pregnant sadly.

Good luck to you! :)

Fifi1086 · 29/05/2022 16:18

I'm really sorry but I'm pretty sure those are evaps on the CB. I've had a lot of these to the point I just don't trust cb now

Bundaberg84 · 29/05/2022 15:30

I am wondering the same. I tend to think it's the latter. Leftover dye that dries in the indent or something? Either way, fingers crossed for you:)

Wilf2020 · 29/05/2022 15:23

Yeah both were outside of the time so I'm going to count them as void. I've never experienced this before, I didn't even really know this was a thing until I googled it! I wonder if because its super sensitive and for a lot of people the pregnancy then doesn't stick or whether there is some sort of overall fault in the design. It's so confusing! It says on the website that any line of a positive but sooooo many people have had experience saying otherwise. To summarise I am not celebrating and planning a grand announcement just yet haha x

The clear blue ones appeared outside the time frame right? Unfortunately you'll have to see them as invalid. I had lines show up after 3 hours and I ended up getting my AF. Doesn't mean you won't get your BFP though. Fingers crossed! 🤞

Sux2buthen · 29/05/2022 11:03

I would recommend a FRER test

Wilf2020 · 29/05/2022 10:59

Oops by stick up I meant stock up!

OP posts:
Wilf2020 · 29/05/2022 10:59

No I think I'll stick up on a few more. Although I feel like my brain and my eyes need a break from looking at tests so I might just wait a little while. Either I'll come in or if not I should get a much clearer line. I'll make sure to update with either of the two! Thanks so much for the responses it's nice to talk through it with people other than my husband haha

Wilf2020 · 29/05/2022 10:35

I'm due in the next day or two so hopefully will know either way! Fingers crossed!

Ooo! Not long to wait! 🤞 have you any other brand tests to try? I always got positives on the cheapie strip tests and first response early detection ones. ❤ xx
P.s I do think the lines look a little more to one side than the other but perhaps it's just because your early testing. I hope they aren't faulty but you can never be sure with pregnancy tests! It can be so frustrating xx

Wilf2020 · 29/05/2022 10:42

We've been trying on and off for over a year but in the loosest sense so this month I got the tracker and the vitamins and all the good stuff so I'm hoping it won't be too long! I'll def get some of the cheaper ones now we are back in the game!

snowflake29 · 29/05/2022 10:40

@Wilf2020 oh I've been where you are loads of times so know exactly the emotions! Took us a year both times to conceive so I've taken more than my fair share of tests 🙈

Fingers crossed for the outcome you want. Do you have any cheapies from Amazon/eBay? I found them more sensitive both times I've been pregnant. I got a barely visible line on them before it was even positive on a first response!

Wilf2020 · 29/05/2022 10:36

snowflake29 · 29/05/2022 10:33

The vertical lines on the clearblues are definitely off centre and would make me think they're faulty tbh...were they both from the same pack? Pink dye tests are usually more reliable, if they're showing negative then unfortunately I think you may not be pregnant (or too early to tell)

Pic of my clearblue test with current pregnancy for reference!

I did think that to be honest. They're from different packs but I've heard so many negative stories about them that I'm wondering if it is actually positive or not. I mean who know?! Who knew it would be so complicated looking at lines on a stick!

Yes take a different test to make sure but 2 positives - I think it's looking positive you are! 🤞 fingers crossed. Xx

Wilf2020 · 29/05/2022 10:27

I think I'm just worried because so many people seem to find they get positives on the CBRR and then negatives and then AF ends up arriving so I'm just hoping I get a positive on another test in the next day or two x

OP posts:
Wilf2020 · 29/05/2022 10:25

Here's both of them together- I can't actually remember which one is which but they both looks pretty positive- although I just don't want to get too excited just yet
