@MO22 well we didn’t try very hard at all, I was feeling very deflated this cycle and not in the mood to DTD much, so I guess it’s true that when you stop trying it happens 😂

MO22 · 13/09/2022 18:49

Oh @LuckyMoonstone huge congrats!! Happy for you. Did you do anything differently this month 👀 how are you feeling?

@Loz365 look at that ovulation timing, so early ha, the letrozole is working well right! I'm a bit worried about ovulation timing, ovusense confirmed a day later so I actually only DTD -2, -3 and -5 days out from ovulation I believe. But tbf I got pregnant from one activity -2 days before, so it is possible! Hope you've been feeling ok.

I'm 8 DPO, not feeling that optimistic but I might be trying to protect myself after last month's devastation from symptom spotting. Chart was getting high temp wise but then quite a big drop today, who bloody knows at this point.

I am seeing the private doctor tomorrow to talk about letrozole for next cycle. I'm nervous because I can't financially commit to £450 a cycle for 6 cycles, but I also can't live like this anymore!

LuckyMoonstone · 13/09/2022 15:51

@Loz365 thank you! I am a bit nervous as I am still having a bit of pink cm from implantation but I’m trying to relax and tell myself it’s ok and it’s exactly what I had last time at 10 and 11dpo, plus I’m still only 11dpo so most women wouldn’t have even tested yet so wouldn’t be worrying at all!
Pic of chart attached, I stopped using it Monday when I got BFP. No massive rises or implantation dips, just steady temps.

Loz365 · 13/09/2022 15:47

@LuckyMoonstone oh my gosh!!! Congratulations!!!! I'm so happy for you 💐 by completely understand the anxiety, got everything crossed for you, you deserve this! Could you post your BFP chart?

@Katie2021 all the waiting can feel like eternity. That temp spike is so odd, maybe your body was trying to ovulate but didn't manage it? I'm guessing though. Has it stayed down?

@MO22 I've been away with friends since Sunday so just hoping we managed to fit enough BD in! Looks like I ovulated yesterday so waiting for OvuSense to confirm and keeping everything crossed. Here's my chart, how's yours looking? X

LuckyMoonstone · 13/09/2022 13:20

Oh I forgot to update you all, I got my BFP yesterday at 10dpo! I lost my last pregnancy so I am veeeeery anxious about this one

Katie2021 · 11/09/2022 10:15

@MO22 morning xx thank you so much for informing me, I think I’m definitely going to look into going private for it! I’m fed up of all the waiting around, I’m in Manchester but I’d be happy if it cost 450! I was expecting more! So that’s good, hopefully it doesn’t need many cycles! I mentioned going private to my nhs doctor she said if I do ring up and let her know in an appointment because she will refer me and I’m guessing send over all your notes (can save money not having to re do bloods/scans if they have that info) xx

I’ve woke up feeling like I just cant wait for nhs anymore, it’s just such a long process it’s mentally hard to keep going without any date still. So You’ve give me new motivation 💜

also I had EWCM this morning but my temp dropped right back down 😂🙈 honestly I just don’t have a clue anymore. I feel at such a loss, i still don’t think I’ve ovulated.

I was hoping the metformin and inositol was going help me ovulate and to shorten cycle this month! As I can go months without ovulating sometimes (pcos) I feel like I’m not even getting the chance to try for a baby because I hardly ovulate 😩(still dtd every other day just incase but ) so frustrating xxxx

MO22 · 11/09/2022 09:26

@Katie2021 morning, I just wanted to let you know I've been looking at ovulation induction privately as I'm not sure I can wait for the NHS fertility clinic referral - and I thought one cycle was £700 but it was a bit less, at £450. That's London prices as well. Still very expensive obviously but I'm going a bit mad at the moment so might just go for it next cycle 🫣

@Loz365 how's all the BDing going?!

MO22 · 10/09/2022 08:44

Also, I think there's an option to get a registered nurse to look at your temps on ovusense I know, you could maybe email and ask them? I'm sure someone on this thread did that once

MO22 · 10/09/2022 08:43

@Katie2021 I would usually say that it's good that it's staying high but it does look a bit odd, I wont lie! Two high temps wouldn't mean you're ovulating now, it would mean you ovulated a few days ago I think...

Annoyingly I think you need to keep using it and just seeing how temps progress - when your green line catches up to the very high temps it might give you some kind of ovulation message but if you didn't have EWCM or pos OPKs two/three days ago then I'm not sure... You don't have a temperature or anything??

Katie2021 · 10/09/2022 08:35

@MO22 @Loz365 here’s this mornings, exactly the same as yesterday! And I wore it for 10 hours last night ! I feel like something might be wrong with it? I just don’t feel like I’m ovulating 😅 and my ovulation tests are not positive either, how strange! Xx

OVUSENSE (ovucore) thread 2
Katie2021 · 09/09/2022 17:53

@MO22 and no I don’t really feel like I’ve had any signs! I did an ovulation test this morning, but it wasn’t positive, I’d say it was darker 2 days ago then today,

I’ve not noticed any EWCM either but it has been more watery xxxx

Katie2021 · 09/09/2022 17:50

@MO22 i know i thought that can’t be right! But then again I’ve not had that rise yet to compare! watch my hormones just be going crazy and it be back at base again tomorrow 🙈 will just have to see how tonight temp go xx

I wore It for 7 hours last night, I noted the time down as I usually wear it longer but I did go bed later and got up earlier for a meeting at work, do you think that’s affected it? Because I usually wear it longer.

and no I didn’t drink last night, I don’t really ever drink haha xxxx

MO22 · 09/09/2022 17:02

This is in the app - you need three days of sustained rise in body temp for ovulation to be confirmed.

Also, did you drink last night? That can affect temp.

OVUSENSE (ovucore) thread 2
MO22 · 09/09/2022 16:58

@Katie2021 wow! That's a big jump! I don't know to be honest, I think you need a few days of sustained high temps so let's see what happens, but it's definitely an increase! Have you noticed any other signs (EWCM or OPKs)?

Did you wear it for the same time length wise as usual? I think it needs to be 6 hours or more.

Katie2021 · 09/09/2022 16:00

@MO22 @Loz365 hey guys hope your Both okay! Just need some advise please I’ve had my first proper peak on ovusense today! I know ovusense hasn’t confirmed yet but is this likely ovulation? Ovusense hasn’t said if it is or isn’t yet xx

my periods are so irregular I go 4 months without sometimes so excited if it is! Haha Xx

OVUSENSE (ovucore) thread 2
LuckyMoonstone · 08/09/2022 07:26

@Loz365 my temps are going down slightly the last couple of days and I’m like noooo stay up 😅

Loz365 · 07/09/2022 22:18

@LuckyMoonstone yay that it actually confirmed something this month! 🥳
Yep, every chart looks completely different for me too. Not even a hint of a pattern which makes it impossible to predict anything!!

LuckyMoonstone · 07/09/2022 20:30

I’m 5dpo according to ovusense. It’s weird how every month looks different for me. Some months I have a whole week of higher and higher temps, but other months it levels off in a few days.

OVUSENSE (ovucore) thread 2
Loz365 · 07/09/2022 20:22

@MO22 that definitely looks like ovulation to me!

Thanks, yep they've said DTD every other day from today for the next week and then I've got to have my progesterone level checked on 19th to confirm I've ovulated.
Although obviously hoping OvuSense will tell me that anyway 😂

MO22 · 07/09/2022 19:25

@Katie2021 she didn't say how long it would take, wish I'd ask. I wonder if I shall call my GP surgery and check it's happened? Do you think they'll send me a letter only when I've got an appt?

I checked out private for clomid - not where you are based but I'm London is £700 for the drugs and scans a cycle. I was thinking about it but I worry that I will need more than one so it could get very expensive very quickly... So kinda want it on the NHS... But I imagine I'm about four months away from that post testing... And as the gynaecologist kindly said, time isn't on my side.

I think I may try a cycle in a month or so private, and keep going on my NHS referral at the same time... Not sure if that's doable. Just feeling a bit worried about my age.

Chart rose back up today, but still waiting for ovulation confirmation - hoping I will get it tomorrow!

AMAZING news @Loz365 - I'd take twins happily at this point lol. So what do they suggest now, keep DTD for the next few days, and then they scan you to check you've ovulated? When do you go back in?

OVUSENSE (ovucore) thread 2
Loz365 · 07/09/2022 18:25

@MO22 I'm so glad your consultant was so helpful! And really pleased they're referring you, it makes such a difference when you feel you're being listened to and the doctor actually wants to do something to help!

Really interesting advice they've given you. Especially the aspirin and progesterone pessaries. But stopping BBT 🤣🤣🤣 what will we obsess over if we stop?! 😆
I'm going to look at the supplement they've suggested. It would be lovely to reduce the number of tablets I'm taking.

@Katie2021 oh wow, that's such a long wait for your husband! How frustrating! But like you say, hopefully once that's done it'll be quicker for you.

I had my ultrasound today and it was good news! CD11 and I have 2 dominant follicles, she said there's a risk of twins when that happens but they're happy for me to continue trying. Imagine, spend all this time trying to get pregnant and then end up with twins 😂
My endometrial lining was thicker too. Last time it was only 3.7mm on the same cycle day and I went on to miscarry. This time it's 5.1mm so everything looking positive. Now to DTD for the next few days haha!

Katie2021 · 07/09/2022 10:16

@MO22 so glad your call went well! Are you feeling positive after some action is being taken now? 💜 It can make all the difference who you get! So glad they was helpful! Did she mention how long the wait would be? It’s good she gave you some tips! Never heard of the aspirin one before I wonder how that helps! worth a try xx

Yes I had my appointment she did a smear test too when I was there to make sure they wasn’t missing anything (as I had abnormal bleeding before my last cycle) , but she said everything looks good with my cervix but sent some tests off anyway just to be safe.

She said when she referred me to gyne she wrote a letter to them suggesting clomid is what she thinks I need as I’m not ovulating ( I’m glad she already got the ball rolling with that! ) - gyne said a while ago we need to have husbands swimmers tested before they will see us - been on a waiting list for months just to get that part done! I wish I thought of going private for that part as you suggested rather than waiting! But I just rang the fertility clinic again and they said they don’t usually send the appointment out until nearer the time but his appointment is in 4 weeks. Just hoping the wait for our appointment after that isn’t as long! Xx

@Loz365 hi thank you, and thanks for replying It’s good to speak to someone who’s been in similar situations! 😊 yes that’s exactly how I feel my cycle goes too! I get all the signs and symptoms then my temp drops! It’s gone up a bit again this morning as below,

Yes I’ve been referred to gyne but been on a waiting list for months just to get husbands swimmers tested (they said this needs to be tested before we can have an appointment) his appointment is in 4 weeks so just waiting for that! Hoping the next step after that isn’t as long as a wait! If it is another long wait just for my first actual gyne appointment I might price up going private for it if it doesn’t work out too expensive. All this waiting makes it harder doesn’t it xx

how is everything going with your journey? xxx

Also @Loz365 I'm so sorry to hear it's been so tough. It's so hard when others are revelling in the positives and it's been such a long struggle. I hope you are looking after yourself as much as possible x

MO22 · 06/09/2022 11:01

Thanks @Loz365, of course there was a drop but hoping I've still ovulated 😬

I just had my gynaecologist telephone appt and it was finally something helpful! (Also maybe finally having a woman fertility and pcos expert?!).

Outcome is she's referring me to fertility clinic (thank god) and gave me a lot of recommendations for PCOS which I thought I'd share:

  • after period take 75mg of aspirin each day
  • proxeed plus (this seems to be a combination of all the vitamins and supplements I am already taking individually, so I may switch on to that when I run out of the others... Thousands of pounds in supplements!)
  • stop BBT tracking as it's stressful (NEVER!)
  • have sex 3/4 times a week
  • if I get a positive test get progesterone pessaries prescribed immediately

I suppose I'll get some aspirin!

How was your call @Katie2021 ?

Loz365 · 06/09/2022 10:06

@MO22 good luck with the appointment today! And you temp rise looks great, hope it stayed up again today for you.

@Moosh18 so lovely to hear from you! But sorry you've been struggling since your MC. I can totally relate, I had a pretty tough weekend. Spent it with family, and my brother and his girlfriend are expecting and all anyone talked about for 2 days was babies and pregnancy. I came home and cried on Sunday. Good luck for this cycle, got everything crossed for you!

@Katie2021 welcome! I have pcos too and found inositol did improve my cycles (been taking it for a year now), not totally regular but at least every 4-5 weeks. I find I sometimes have multiple peaks with OPKs but then don't ovulate, I think it's the hormone imbalance in pcos that makes it a bit unpredictable. But some months it would be more normal - the joys of pcos 🫠 Have you spoken to the GP about referral to the fertility clinic? X
