OVUSENSE (ovucore) thread 2

AF arrived yesterday afternoon as expected 😔
Had a long chat with DP and we've decided to take a break from TTC for a while. It's been nearly 2 years and the MC had a bigger impact on us than we were expecting. We're getting married next year and I don't really wanna be heavily pregnant/due around our wedding date so we're going to stop trying until the new year.
Feels like a difficult decision because we're desperate for a baby but maybe the break will do us good. I'm going to step away from MN for a while so I actually have a proper break from it all. Good luck to you all though! I'll be back at some point in the future I'm sure and it'll be lovely to hear the updates from you all 💐 xx

Big dip this morning so I think I'm out 😔 got some very slight cramps so expecting AF to turn up tomorrow. Small part of me is hoping it'll rise again tomorrow and this is implantation dip but looking at my previous charts I'm not convinced

@Peonies94 oh wow, 15 weeks is such a long time!! So glad you're feeling better now though!

@Katie2021 it's a bit early to tell from your chart if you've ovulated yet but if your temp keeps going up for the next few days I would say you ovulated yesterday. Fingers crossed for you!

@Loz365 thanks for explaining! That makes more sense, it’s gone up a bit this morning! I was really deflated yesterday I thought it meant my body tried but didn’t ovulate (I don’t ovulate often, pcos), so fingers crossed I did!

so I got a positive opk on Sunday and yesterday both days my temp was lower, but then this morning my temp has risen a bit, if I have ovulated when would it have been looking at my chart xxxx

@Peonies94 lovely to hear from you! Can't believe you're halfway already, it's gone so quickly! Glad you're doing well, have all your first trimester symptoms settled?

@MO22 thanks! Trying to stay realistic but optimistic that this could be our month. I'm going to try and hold out until 11DPO. Pre-MC my LP was around 9/10 days so going to try and hold out until I will technically be late. But I get addicted to peeing on sticks so may end up testing early 🤣

@Loz365 that chart is looking really good - just up and up! Are you going to test in a bit or wait it out for AF?

I'm a little embarrassed to say I've been testing every day Fri, Saturday, Sunday and today 🫣 just feel like I need to keep checking. I've had a few overwhelming moments where I've thought the worst but trying to take each day as it come!

@MO22 how are you doing? Hope you're okay! I'm one week down in the TWW and chart is looking okay so far 🤞 trying not to symptom spot and just see what happens!

@Katie2021 you can ovulate 24-36 hours after a positive OPK. So you should ovulate today/tomorrow. Your temperature will then go up after ovulation which will confirm it actually happened. So for me I got a positive OPK on 12th, my temp chart dipped on the 12th and then rose up on 13th. It then takes about 4/5 days for OvuSense to confirm ovulation. How's your chart looking today? X

@Loz365 @MO22 please can I ask of your advice ladies, (it’s my first cycle on ovusense and keeping in mind my cycles are very longggg) … I’ve got a positive ovulation test this morning! My line looked darker than the line that’s always there (I’ll attach pic) and my nipples have been really painful the past 24 hours! … however my ovusense chart dropped this morning again 🙄 so I don’t know what to think now! I feel like I’m ovulating and all the signs are there but my ovusense doesnt look like it ? Xxxx

If it helps, I wouldn't worry about only being able to have DTD 2 days before. I got a higher temp this morning and couldn't help myself

Am genuinely in shock (and over the moon). What a painfully horrible, long 9 months it's been since my MC. I'm only 11 DPO so it's early, would expect AF on Sunday, but I am trying to be positive and not be too anxious yet.

@MO22 that all sounds really positive! And yea that progesterone level is good. I'm getting mine check on Tuesday so will be interested to see what it is. Finally got my confirmation on OvuSense, now the waiting continues...

@Loz365 yeah scans as a baseline early next week when my period starts and then to check follicles are ready, and then I think I inject myself when they say it's good to go and I then ovulate 16-27 hours after - I swear that was what he said although that's very random times, think the idea is we go nuts at that point (and I assume a bit before). I can't deal with a cancelled cycle lol, it's so expensive! This better bloody work.

I tried to chase up my NHS fertility referral and got computer said no from my GP surgery. Sigh.

Progesterone he said was given as standard, just to give it the best chance and he also said I needed to stop worrying about having low progesterone, it was all at the right levels when he checked in June, I think I got 50 on the day 21 which he said was good?

@MO22 yea that seems sensible, there's always that risk that it over stimulates and you get loads of follicles which would be frustrating if they then had to cancel a cycle. Are you getting scans etc. As well?

That's interesting about the progesterone. Was that because they know yours is low or because of your previous miscarriage?

@Loz365 I think he gave me a lower dose as I have 28-32 cycles at the mo (it's been worse) and definitely ovulate, and also I think the injections stimulate ovulation anyway... Who knows, I was just grateful to get it ha. I also got progesterone pessaries for post ovulation.

I think I'll wait on testing but it's getting hard. Was surprised to see temp go up this morning, if it's the same level tomorrow I might test - have a dinner with some friends that I want to have a wine with. But tomorrow is only 11 DPO and it feels early still tbf. I should probably just wait for AF on Sunday maybe and not get stuck in the testing cycle!

DTD 2 days out for me too, so fingers crossed it works for us both!

@MO22 yep I was similar, ovulating eventually but very unpredictable and I think the letrozole can improve follicle quality (?)
I started on 5mg and it didn't work so they increased it to 7.5mg. I did get some side effects. Mainly night sweats and mild headaches, seems to last about a week but I told myself at least it meant it was working 😂

Your chart is looking good so far! Are you going to test or wait for AF?
Mine hasn't confirmed yet but pretty sure I'm 3DPO now. Just hoping we're covered as only managed to DTD 2, 4 and 5 days before ovulation because I went away 🤞

@Loz365 2.5mg I think? I'm ovulating already but late into the cycle so he wants to try this to bring it earlier and I think the injection just makes the ovulation timing more accurate for DTD? We shall see. Weirdly, almost excited for AF on sat or Sunday now as at least there's a plan! Did you have any side effects from the letrozole?

I am 10 DPO at the mo, has yours confirmed yet?

@MO22 ooo yes!! What dose are they starting you on? Nope I haven't got the injections as I'm ovulating on my own with just the letrozole thankfully!

@Loz365 - I have letrozole in my grubby little hands! Expecting AF sat or Sunday and then I think we crack on! Did you have to inject yourself?? I'm quite terrifed about that!
