@MO22 that's great! A relief you've got that confirmation, and even better that those blue dots are well placed! Here's to a quick TWW 🤞🏻

Temp was up again today so pretty certain now that ovulation has happened, just a few days to wait till confirmation. It's looking like it will confirm as Tuesday. The last time we DTD was Monday before DH got hit with covid, so just hoping that's enough!

@MO22 okay so far, I hope! I have a private scan the end of next week 🤞!

MO22 · 16/06/2022 07:24

@Peonies94 thank you, how are you?! Hope everything is progressing nicely! When is your scan?

I woke up today and am over the moon that it's confirmed ovulation... Was so stressed yesterday thinking I wasn't ovulating! Added bonus it was a day later than I thought so actually DH's triumphant return to DTD post covid was sat night and Sunday morning so well timed despite nothing before!

Does shorten my time before Glastonbury, I'll be 11 DPO on the day I have to go so whilst I dont test early I think this month may have to be an exception!

How is everyone else? Hows your chart @theblueflowers ?

@MO22 so sorry! No advice as it’s just so hard isn’t it! 😔 my best friend got pregnant during us trying and I thought we’d have been pregnant together! Her little one is 1 in a few months! I struggled so much, I tried to be a great friend and was happy for her but it’s just so hard isn’t it! 😢 sending love to you ❤️

OP posts:
theblueflowers · 15/06/2022 20:32

I have definitely had to do that too 😂 the things we have to do!

I think it could be that little dip, which maybe put your average temp off a little, but it's climbed back up, so I would imagine that it will return.

MO22 · 15/06/2022 20:10

@theblueflowers that's what I thought right?!
The only thing I can think (TMI) is that I went for a wee at like 1 and it fell out and I had to fish it out the loo (totally nightmare, you have to laugh) so I washed it etc and put it back in. I wonder if that could have affected it?? The brief swim it had?! 😂

Will see what it says tomorrow and if not I will contact them, great idea, thank you!

theblueflowers · 15/06/2022 20:05

@MO22 that's strange! You have definitely ovulated from that chart. You could contact customer services?

MO22 · 15/06/2022 16:36

Btw your chart looks good, surely that's ovulation!

MO22 · 15/06/2022 16:35

@theblueflowers thank you so much for your message, you've hit the nail on the head. On top of all the pain etc I just feel really lonely. The friends/family I have with kids I find it hard to talk to as they're very "it'll all be fine" but no one else has struggled and my other friends just don't get it as it's not even on their radars.

I totally get you on separate WhatsApp groups, I would find that so hard too. It's hard enough seeing my sister and best friend on their maternity leaves right now and around this weekend I would have been joining them.

Anyway. I've wallowed enough today. Onward.
A practical question, has anyone's ovulation window disappeared but then it confirmed ovulation? I don't understand why it's gone even tho my temps have risen?? Not ovulating this month would just be the real kicker in the teeth I think.

Morning!

@Loz365 great news! So frustrating when it goes on so long, but great it finally happened.

@MO22 I'm so sorry that you were in that situation. It is never easy, but I think you absolutely did the right thing by taking yourself away- you have to look after yourself. I try to remember that I am on my own journey (hate this word though!) throughout all of this, and every day is a day closer. I'm in a similar situation-3 of my best friends are currently pregnant, all due the same times as I would have been if my two pregnancies worked out. They don't know how to talk to me, and I know that they have a separate WhatsApp group without me to talk about their pregnancies. I get it, but it's a double blow.

I had one other friend that also went through a miscarriage, around the same time, and it was such a comfort to have someone to rant about how shit it all was. She's now 10 weeks pregnant, everything going great, but selfishly I really miss our bond! I keep telling myself that I will be in her position soon, and that helps. We will look back on this time and it will feel like such a tiny blip.

My temp went up again this morning; really hoping this is it 🤞🏻

@Loz365 thanks for the reply, I ended up crying all night and now look awful and have lots of video calls for work today! Thank god I'm not in the office tho...!

Hope you ovulate soon!
Mine is now all over the place, my ovulation window has disappeared... Does that mean it doesn't think I've ovulated yet so I'm not actually 4 DPO do you think? My temps still seem high so bit confused and did an OPK which was 0 .4. Just so annoying that my body won't play ball AT ALL.

feeling so frustrated about it all...

Loz365 · 15/06/2022 09:58

Thanks girls! OPK still high this morning and slight dip in temp - cheering my body on to ovulate hahaha! This whole TTC thing has turned me into a mad woman 🤣

@MO22 sorry you're feeling down. It's awful isn't it?! My brother's girlfriend is 10 weeks pregnant and she keeps messaging me about pregnancy things and appts etc. I'm so happy for them and part of me wants to know everything but it's almost painful every time I get an update 😔
So no real advice haha! But I'm right there with you!!

@Peonies94 oh no! Sorry you're feeling poorly! Pregnancy related or something else? Hope you're feeling a bit better today 🥰

Congrats @Loz365 ! Hope you're getting down to it!

Another low evening over here, went for dinner with girlfriends and my mate who had a MMC at the same time as me was only drinking lemonade. I hate to say it but I've had to leave early and now feel like absolutely SHITE. I am happy for her, of course I am, but Im just so miserable. Hate this.

Any advice to stop wallowing about it? 😔

Loz365 · 14/06/2022 13:46

@RMS0209 in a way I think it was helpful that I'd only had 2 periods in 6 months, even my GP realised that I was never going to get pregnant with them being that infrequent!
I know it can be more of a fight when you're having a period every month though. But definitely ask for a referral and see what they say!

I've FINALLY got a positive OPK this morning!! 🎉🎉 clearblue static smiley as well so hoping this time it's actually right. I knew the last one was a false static, don't even know why I keep using CB 🙄 let's hope my temp rising in the next couple of days 😂

RMS0209 · 14/06/2022 10:42

@Loz365 your chart 🫠🙃

Ok that's great, I just phoned my GP pushing for the referral to clinic to get the ball rolling, I only got as far as the receptionist so we will see what she says when she calls back.. hopefully with good news!
Ok so I have had my AMH blood test and Dr tests and an ultrasound scan so far.
It seems like you've been lucky with it all and it's went quite quick even though I'm sure it felt long at the time!
My partner is getting his semen analysis done on Thursday at the private place I've had my things done, it's just not too handy as it's 3.5hrs away so if I could referred to our local fertility clinic would help a lot.
This is cycle 7 x

I can confirm AF has entered the building, wowie the cramps. 39 day cycle.. getting longer and longer 🥲

Loz365 · 14/06/2022 10:16

Oh and here's my chart! Nothing yet 🙃🙃

OVUSENSE (ovucore) thread 2
Loz365 · 14/06/2022 10:15

@RMS0209 you're welcome!

It took 3 months from my GP referring me to my first appt in the fertility clinic. In the initial appt the consultant wanted to repeat my day 21 progesterone because my periods were more regular and they requested a hycosy to check my tubes. I then had to wait for my next period to get those done so that took another month. Then I had another appt about 2 weeks after the hycosy to discuss the results and they prescribed the medication then.
It felt like ages at the time but looking back it was all very efficient!

How long have you been trying? And has your partner had a semen analysis done? That was another thing the GP arranged before referring me! X

theblueflowers · 14/06/2022 10:15

I am really hoping this rise is the start of something! OKP down to 0.75 this morning as well. My chart is all over the place though so not too hopeful.

DH has just found out he has covid this morning, so no idea of that is going to have an impact at all.

@Loz365
How is chart looking today? 🙂

Sorry my Mumsnet app wasn't loading last night.

I can't thank you enough for explaining this all to me, I've been down rabbit holes not understanding.
So once you went to see your GP how long did the referral to fertility clinic take? Then for you to get some meds?

Thanks so much for explaining what Letrozole is and how it works.
I think I need to have a plan for my DR to get a referral so if I can say to him I need him to do xyz it should be easier!

I'm still spotting today but AF needs to arrive soon..

Ok we are similar
I have the Zita West Inositol and Folate (I mix a spoon and a half in my water bottle in the AM)
I have my: folic acid, COQ10 vitamin b12, vitamin D & iron tablets (I'm vegetarian) so I think we match supplements wise so I feel like I'm doing something right Bear

MO22 · 13/06/2022 22:34

@Loz365 thank you so much for explaining re letrozole, totally makes sense that it lowers oestrogen! After my private ultrasound they said I needed a hysteroscopy because of potential degredation of my womb lining or something due to too much oestrogen because of PCOS... So that's v helpful to know.

God it's such a minefield isn't it!

Loz365 · 13/06/2022 20:10

@RMS0209 CD24 today, still trying to DTD every other day until I get confirmation of ovulation but it's getting tiring 🤣🤣

Don't apologise, ask away! It's nice to share experiences and help other people out!

So I went to my GP after 9 months of trying and I'd only had 2 periods at that point. My GP arranged blood tests and ultrasound. Bloods were all normal but scan showed polycystic ovaries and with irregular periods and awful acne on my back she said I met the criteria for PCOS and referred me to NHS fertility clinic.
The fertility clinic started me on letrozole. Next cycle they want me to increase the dose and they'll scan me again to check if it works. I get 6 cycles in total and I think it's 6 cycles once it's working - at least i'm hoping it is!

Supplements - I'm taking myo-inositol. Started that in November and it improved my cycles to 27-37 days. The fertility consultant told me to keep taking them!
I'm also taking vitamin D, vitamin E, magnesium, vitamin C, folic acid and omega 3. Other than the folic acid, the rest I only started last month so no idea what difference they're making! X

RMS0209 · 13/06/2022 18:46

@Loz365

Hey!
Oh no... grrr what cycle day are you?

I think having my consultation at the end of the month will put my mind at ease.
What supplements and things do you take? Sorry for asking all the same questions I just want to make sure I'm doing everything right.

It appears I do ovulate (confirmed by blood test this week) my cycles are about 40 days MAX (cycle day 39 today but I am spotting so she's coming!) lol so yeah it's jumped from cycle day 14,17,19,25 etc I don't want it getting longer and longer

Can I ask how you got the letrozole?
My DR (gp) just seems to have 0 idea about any of it so I just feel like I need to go to him with an action plan rather than the other way round.
I think speaking to the consultant before I phone GP will help though.
I am beginning to feel sad more than I am happy, it is just so draining and sad and yuck

Thank you for explaining what the Letrozole does I have 0 idea about any of it, I have ordered a book though so it should come in the next few days 🙂
So next cycle you will get again but a higher dose? How many doses do you get?

Honesty can't thank you enough for taking the time to explain that all to me...
😵‍💫🤯 this has been me since Thursday night x

Loz365 · 13/06/2022 18:36

Hey team!

After my hopeful dip it hadn't materialised into anything yet. So fed up on peeing on sticks hahaha!

@RMS0209 sorry to hear about your updates, although sometimes I find it helpful to have an answer to the problem. I have PCOS and most of the time I'm okay with it but sometimes I just really resent my body for making it so difficult to conceive. And I find the longer it's taking the more down days I have. I try to stay positive as much as I can but I guess I'm saying it's okay to feel sad.
I'm on letrozole, it acts by lowering your oestrogen which should then cause your LH and FSH hormones to rise. And this is what stimulates ovulation. Although my first cycle hasn't worked so they don't think the dose was high enough.
I still ovulate but they said because my cycles are so irregular they use letrozole to try and regulate it, meaning you ovulate more frequently and have more chances of getting pregnant.

That turned into an essay 🤣
