Hi has anybody gotten pregnant or know someone who got pregnant straight after a miscarriage? How possible is it? I'm 4 weeks this Sunday post miscarriage. We DTD 2 weeks after and now I'm feeling a bit nauseous, tender boobs but scared to test to get a negative. Maybe it's just my period trying to start? TIA

From years on MN and reading other experiences, majority that conceive straight away, with no period in between ,will MC once again. Not all, and there are the odd exceptions, but seems far more MC again that carry to term. Best of luck though.

Hi

I did had a miscarriage on March and my baby was born the following February.

He's now 6ft good luck xxx

My2boysaremyworld · 14/05/2022 22:24

Think AF is coming. Has a very slight twinge of pink I think and cramping has changed to period style cramps. Oh well if she comes at least I will know where I am with my next cycle

My rainbow baby just turned 10, I had a mmc at 11 weeks straight into a subsequent successful pregnancy, absolutely can and does happen. It was however very emotional at the time so sending thoughts, positive vibes and hugs to those currently suffering xxx

Also me. Loss at 7 weeks mid Feb, next BFP less than 4 weeks later. He's asleep in the next room.

missypissy · 14/05/2022 21:21

Yes my best friend conceived unidentical twins a month after she miscarried.

PeanuttyButter · 14/05/2022 21:19

I started to miscarry on 5th April and then got my next positive pregnancy test on 3rd May.

20viona · 14/05/2022 20:51

Yes me. I miscarried on the 9th December and tested positive January 14th, I'm now 21 weeks with my little girl.

HappyAsASandboy · 14/05/2022 20:47

Yes. I was pregnant (unplanned) and husband had the snip. I lost the baby and started on to the mini pill while we waited for two clear tests from DH. I got pregnant. I don't really even remember us having sex at all much during that time because it was all a bit raw between the vasectomy and the miscarriage, but I still got pregnant. He is two now, and I wouldn't be without him Smile

I feel like the poster-girl for the "Any sex can result in pregnancy".

Thanks everyone. Still getting symptoms I think ( scared it's all in my head ) nausea, cramping, tender boobs. Think I'm going to wait a week and then test if I'm still feeling like this

I did, no period in between. Good luck!

Chanel05 · 13/05/2022 12:23

Good luck and sorry for your loss.

No, I didn't. After my mmc it took 8 more months to conceive. This is normal.

MummyJ12 · 13/05/2022 12:15

I did, I miscarried 5th Nov, at 9 weeks. Must have conceived in the December shortly after my bleeding stopped then found out I was pregnant early January. My first parental guilt was how much alcohol I’d had over Christmas because I was going to give it a few months before trying again. DS had other ideas!
Good luck op and so sorry for everyone’s loss on here.

My2boysaremyworld · 13/05/2022 12:11

Sorry to everyone who has lost their babies.

Thank you all hoping it is good news and not just period coming. Iv also had a sore throat since Tuesday 😩 my symptoms I had with my last pregnancy iv got again I think. I get dry eye and got that again and also had a dry cough on the evenings and got that again. If my period does come at least I know I can try again next cycle xx

I had my first, pregnant again 4 months later, lost baby at 12 weeks, pregnant again a few weeks later, lost that baby at 12 weeks, pregnant again a few weeks later and had 2 nd ( live) baby 21 months after first.

Hullabaloo31 · 13/05/2022 12:07

I did, I'd lost mo-mo twins and then got pregnant again straight away with no period in between. I lost that next one as well, I think my body was still all over the place tbh. The next time I waited for one full cycle and period and then tried again, she's now 7!

WowStarsWow · 13/05/2022 12:05

I did too, after very early mc, 6 weeks. No period. Fingers crossed for you.

sorry to hear of others’ losses Flowers

SophSoSo · 13/05/2022 12:02

I did, no period in between.

sallylondon · 13/05/2022 12:01

I was conceived in February, just six weeks after my mum had miscarried at New Year.

trinity198 · 13/05/2022 11:59

I had a miscarriage and got pregnant again straight after. Think there was 4 weeks between the miscarriage and BFP. Unfortunately I miscarried again. However, I don't think the second miscarriage was anything to do with getting pregnant again so fast as I have since miscarried another baby so I believe the issue to be something else.

My2boysaremyworld · 13/05/2022 10:06

I'm 11 and 13 days since DTD so would I get a positive result now if I am but I got a negative on Monday? My test was negative but after 10 minutes turned positive but the instructions say to not take that result and so did the nurse at hospital

OP posts:
My2boysaremyworld · 13/05/2022 10:03

Thanks everyone. I'm worried to do one as did a test on Monday to get my negative to be discharged from hospital. It was negative so thinking I wouldn't get a positive now? Thinking I might wait a bit longer and see if I get the nausea for a few more days?
