How is everyone feeling today? @RMS0209 hopefully we've got our positive polly back? 😄

alwaysseeingstars · 21/04/2022 13:44

@MO22 oh phew 😂
@MrsGrealish haha, hopefully they may finally make a note to not do it in future?! Have you decided between the Ovu and the Mira yet? 😊

MrsGrealish · 21/04/2022 13:25

@alwaysseeingstars so uncanny! I actually went back to the GP 6 months ago and again was recommended naproxen. I said to him I got told off by my neurologist for using this and he was like 'oh yea well obviously cardiovascular health is an issue' and prescribed something else🙄 ffs

Nyxxie · 21/04/2022 13:24

Just hopping on to the new thread as even though I'm tagged it's not showing up in my watch list. Hopefully it will now!

MO22 · 21/04/2022 13:23

@alwaysseeingstars @MrsGrealish it's not on the delivery box but as soon as you open it up it's shouting VAGINAL.SENSOR and FERTILITY MONITOR, ok ok, we get it 😂

Anyway Ive got it and ready to go, just need to stop bleeding now!

alwaysseeingstars · 21/04/2022 13:14

@MrsGrealish wow, so being a pharmacist means you have to just ignore any GP's advice and work it out yourself? 😂There's a lot to be said for using initiative etc BUT at the same time there's a lot on the web that is terrifying and irrelevant. I also had Naproxen and was taken off it because of it possibly causing issues with Bisoprolol and Candesartan. Being a pharmacist must be really difficult with SO many different medicines around! It's kinda crazy how many similarities we have with health 😂

MrsGrealish · 21/04/2022 13:07

@MO22 😂😂 so in conclusion intercept the delivery guy at all costs. Can just imagine my 19 year old son being handed this 🙈

MrsGrealish · 21/04/2022 13:04

@alwaysseeingstars aww that's really nice🥰 I get migraines too went to see the GP years ago, after a full week of migraine and auras, was at my limit and they gave me a prescription for naproxen. Then the TIA happened and the neurologist had an absolute meltdown (literally no other word for it) said they were really bad for my cardiovascular health and being a pharmacist I should know this. Felt like saying mate a GP recommended this. So I've learnt to trust my own instincts more.

alwaysseeingstars · 21/04/2022 13:04

@MO22 vaginal sensor 😂bet you've just made the delivery persons day!!! I once ordered stuff from (can't remember if it was Ann Summers or Lovehoney, as a surprise to DH) - ordered it to be delivered to work as they said it had 'discreet packaging' - NOPE!! Delivery guy handed it over saying ooooh anniversary tonight is it? In front of a load of guys at work 😂

MO22 · 21/04/2022 12:56

@alwaysseeingstars yep, sadly that's the case, they see it as a reset! And annoyingly I turn 35 in June, so I think I have to wait another 6 months from then... It's a bit shit!

@MrsGrealish hugely agree, also if I am lucky enough to be able to afford a private blood test then I'd rather do that and free up NHS time.

In the meantime, my ovusense has arrived. I'm laughing hard because it's got VAGINAL SENSOR all over the box and the papers that come with it. Subtle 😂

alwaysseeingstars · 21/04/2022 12:50

@MO22 wow seriously? I didn't know that if you had a MC it 'resets' the timeframe - poor way to explain it but hopefully you know what I mean! That's a shame as it's still over 12 months of being unsuccessful. Agreed about the difficulty of getting appointments, my GP is only part time too which is a nightmare! Sorry @MrsGrealish but quite a number of times before my basilar migraines and A-Fib were diagnosed I leant on the pharmacists for quite a bit of help!! (of which I must say they were SUPER helpful)😊

MrsGrealish · 21/04/2022 12:41

@MO22 agree I think you need to have no success for a year before anyone takes you seriously. And I think there's lots we can do on our own with research. They are under so much pressure with covid and backlogs the nurses in my work look super stressed all the time

MO22 · 21/04/2022 12:35

Btw no disrespect to nurses or doctors, my sister is one! Just haven't had much luck getting them engaged with my process but I haven't yet been trying for a year if you count the MC, which they do!

MO22 · 21/04/2022 12:33

@MrsGrealish Ok cool, I think I'll trust in the Ovusense and if I'm feeling paranoid next month maybe I'll get another private blood test for peace of mind as it's so easy!

I got the cheapest version, I am not fussed about a nurse looking at my chart (nor a doctor, cannot see my GP having any interest lol, I think that version might be for Americans!) and I didn't want to pay 12 months subscription upfront (please can I be pregnant before 12 months!) But I don't get paid til Monday so am on a budget!

I think I'll probably cave and get the Mira too when paid... @longbin did you have one and do you rate it?

MrsGrealish · 21/04/2022 12:26

@MO22 i think the ovusense should confirm it with temperature dips/rises. If your GP could confirm it that's good but I know from my work it's an absolute nightmare getting appointments on certain days.

What subscription did you take for the ovusense?

MO22 · 21/04/2022 12:20

Also re post from last thread!

@RMS0209 are you doing your blood test with the NHS? I just got my 21 day test back and unsurprisingly it said I didn't ovulate as the day I took blood was the day I started to spot!

So either clearblue screwed me (it was a new holder), and looking back on the day I should have ovulated in line with my usual LP, it started flashing smiley... OR I just didn't ovulate (maybe due to Covid or stress??).

Do you think I should get another private progesterone test for my next cycle, or ask the NHS for one, or see if the Ovusense can confirm whether I ovulate or not?

MO22 · 21/04/2022 12:20

Thanks gals.

I don't think I ever did an intro lol, just went straight into old swimmers... But cycle 5 now post MMC, TTC #1... Come on MAY!

MrsGrealish · 21/04/2022 12:14

@RMS0209 perfect supplements. I take Q10 too because I'm older think it helps egg quality

MrsGrealish · 21/04/2022 11:52

Found you all 😊

alwaysseeingstars · 21/04/2022 09:33
