Hope the bedrooms are suitably fluffed today City, and you are back in your proper bed, and not on the floor, tonight
I quite like the sound of watching the seagulls eating eels ... our garden is quite nice, there are lots of birds, but our last garden was better, and I really miss it, actually.
Still waiting on a start date, hoping next week will be fruitful in that area.
Hope you are both well

Hi naturists bird spotters

We don't have a garden but I can watch the seaguls eat eels in the river

I hope things continue along their path 3cats. Ready it sounds very pretty where you are. It would be nice sometimes if the weather here was good!

I am putting off going to bed as we're sleeping on the floor! Nesting has got a bit out of control and the carpet man is coming tomorrow to do both bedrooms

Dh is back from holiday and has promised to sort some new photos out. I'll have a crack at it tomorrow!

Ready · 10/04/2008 17:13

3cats, that actually sounds like the best place to be, just enjoying each other without thinking about what day of cycle you are on.
Oooh I love squirrels, at the house we sold last year, there was a little squirrel that used to come and bury things in our garden. I loved watching him whilst we ate breakfast.
I bought a huge bag of seed for the birds in my garden, and I even went on the rspb website last night to see what birds have been visiting

Weather is good here too Ready. Hope it stays for the weekend.

Staring out of the window is cool, good for you. We look out onto some large trees and I often stand in the window watching the squirrels jumping about. I could look out of the window for hours.

Well amazingly DH has continued his attention giving even though it's 'peak' time and no reaching for the drawer. I thhink maybe he's forgotten what time of month it is. I could be totally wrong though about timing as my cycle has gone from 25 days one month to 31 days the next month. Who knows where I am now.

Ready · 09/04/2008 17:21

Yes. It's lush isn't it!!

How's the weather for everyone? It is gorgeous here!!

I have just spent the last 20 minutes staring out of my bedroom window at all the birds in my garden... I counted 9 at one point ... I have got a birdfeeder and there is a blackbird family nesting in one of our shrubs. And some sparrows at the end of the garden. Think I need a baby. Desperately

Ready, I used to drink cherry brandy - it's yummy. I haven't had any for years

Ready · 07/04/2008 20:07

Seaside, lovely to see you. Hope all is well I think I owe you an email... will do soon.

3cats, wow, packed bags! Glad things are looking up, bizarrely sometimes it takes a shock to bring people back together. Hope you are doing well?

City, next time I have some cherry brandy, I will do so, in your honour ... still no start date yet, I personally think I should get a medal for my patience. I would swear right now, but I won't lower the tone

Lottie I don't mind you following me about, just let me eat my bread without making me feel guilty won't you

OP posts:
cityangel · 07/04/2008 16:30

Ah 3cats missed your post. That's great news... well not the bit about the packed bags. Fingers crossed for the end of the week Big hugs to you too

cityangel · 07/04/2008 16:28

Hi lottie, seaside, Ready and 3cats I hope you're all having a good start to the week!

Dh is back from holiday so I am a happy bunny

Lottie how are you? What's new in your world?

Ready I want some of your cherry brandy or some oaky white wine... but I will have to wait I expect I am a big lightweight! Any news on your job start date?

3cats how are things with dh now? How's the sewing? I am feeling guilty I haven't started to learn useful kiddie creative skills...

Seaside we think our bump (we call Rice is blue, but are only guessing) I am glad I am not the only lopsided bunny. It is sitting on my bladder today TMI I know. I hope I can persuade it to move.

3catstoo · 07/04/2008 16:10

Hello everyone.

Seaside and Lottie how are you both?

DH and I wotked things out after another row on saturday. He had even packed his bags. After lots of tears we are fine again.

On a positive note it has done heaps for our sex life . Can't remember when we last bd'd 4 days in a row. Long may it last.

I'm hoping it lasts as Ov is the end of this week and it would be fab to be able to aim for the right time after so many months of not knowing what's going on. I'm under no illusions though, DH hasn't agreed to it.
I can but hope.

Big hugs to you all.

seaside72 · 06/04/2008 20:44

Hi girls - just popping in to see how you all are and send big hugs and positive vibes.

city - did I miss you finding out your bump is blue?? I am pretty useless at keeping up with threads at the moment My bump was lopsided for ages too!

Ready - hi hon -liking the sound of cherry brandy

3cats - so sorry about your argument with DH - night time ones are the worst aren't they - no sleep and heightened emotions - bleurghhh - big hugs.

lottie -

xxxx

Ready · 06/04/2008 16:29

Went out with some friends last night... had a few to drink - just had to share, one of the girls introduced me to Cherry Brandy and lemonade, which was lovely!!!! My new favourite tipple I think. Problem is, it does not taste of alcohol at all!! Dangerous!

OP posts:
Ready · 06/04/2008 16:28

Hey Lottie, come on in

Cityangel, magnesium paste? can you get that over the counter?
Oooh, yes, would love some bump photos , loving the sound of lopsided, that boy of yours is doing his own thing in there
So, your dh is back and so I suspect you are one happy bunny ? did he bring you back some lovely little gifts?

3cats, so sorry to hear that you and your dh had a mammoth row in some ways perhaps his outburst shows just how much a really loves you? So whilst I am sure it wasn?t nice? Maybe there is something good that can come from it? I hope so. Hope you are ok?
With regards to the ingrowing hair, I would say keep an eye on it, savlon is a good idea from City as it will prevent any infection. Keep exfoliating the area, and hopefully it will work its way out? if you can get the redness to calm down you should be able to see if there is a hair there. I have used tweezers in the past, to pick them out, but only if they are clearly there, I wouldn?t recommend picking away unless you can see the follicle

sorry to hear of your troubles 3cats... I really hope things sort themselves out xxx

3catstoo · 04/04/2008 15:53

Hello again.

It is a raised bump Ready .

Oh yes City some photos of your bump. Not long to wait now for DH.

DH and I had our biggest and longest row ever last night. It ended this morning and neither of us got any sleep. I think we are ok again now but it was horrid. He got the wrong end of the stick about something and accused me of allsorts. It took about 7 hours to get him to believe me in the end. He read between the lines when there was really nothing to read, iyswim. I was totally shocked by his outbirst.

The 'other' thing is well and truly over, not that it got started in the first place.
DHs outbirst strangely had nothing to do with this.

I am now a very tired bunny.

Hope you both have a fab weekend.
xxxx

cityangel · 04/04/2008 00:51

Yes he's back Sunday can't wait!
Fortunately I managed to pull myself together after the first few days otherwise I think I may have had a really tough time

I'd like to turn my hand to more creative making... my current job couldn't be further away... tied to the PC all day

I had an ingrowing hair (on a way larger scale) that just went out of control once. Created its own little house and everything. Eventually summed up the courage to go the doctor because of its location... anyways he got the nurse and they both decided they'd never seen anything like it... and gave me Magnesium sulphate paste. This drew it out no problem and it healed super fast

You could try savlon, or elle mcpherson boddy scrub for exfoliating...

bump is doing ok, lopsided at the moment I could post some photos maybe..
catch up soon

ready · 03/04/2008 17:52

City silversmithing is something I have always wanted to do also? I love a hobby, me ? not long til your dh is back. Hope the time has flown by. I hate sleeping in our bed on my own, that?s what I find hardest when dh is away.

3cats, sounds good. I am sure it will look lovely. I love an a-line skirt in the summer. I have a beautiful one, cut on the bias, from Jigsaw, in silk that I would live in, if I could.
I once had an ingrown hair on my bikini line (hence my military exfoliation regimen now) and it was not nice. I think if you can?t see if there is a hair there just keep exfoliating that area, and hopefully if there is a hair it will work its way out. I have some exfoliating gloves (from Liz Earle, but I think you can get them in Boots etc) and I find that they are good for the creases ? I also think that there is a lotion called ingrow-go or something like that? it?s worth having a google. Is it just a tiny red bump or is it puffed up?

OP posts:
3catstoo · 03/04/2008 12:54

Afternoon.

Just an a line cotton skirt. I used a simple bodfen skirt, that I live in in the summer, to copy. The material is a bit loud but I bought it in haste as I wanted to get started. It's pink but will hopefully be good in the summer when I have a bit of colour in my legs.

Silversmithing sounds hard City. Can you still make things?
We could get a little trio going here, making and selling.

I need to ask another question about waxing .
I used an exfoliating sponge to stop the in growing hairs but still got one. I thought I had sorted it out but I still have a raised spot there. I have had the area waxed again and am not sure if there is hair under the lump. I don't know what to do. Exfoliating doesn't do anything to it. Can you please advise me?

City I'm sure Sunday will come around really quickly. How's the bump doing?

cityangel · 02/04/2008 00:58

Hi Ready sounds interesting I might give it a go later on in the year I love trying new things.

I did a silversmithing course once. Hard work but great to try something more creative than my job.

Doing ok, missing dh, but only have to last until Sunday now! I hope you 2 are ok

Ready · 01/04/2008 17:08

Oooh. How exciting... what pattern is your skirt?

OP posts:
3catstoo · 01/04/2008 14:59

That sounds great Ready. I would love to have some reflexology done but would need a pedicure first to tidy my feet up .

The holiday looks lovely too.

I've started a skirt but not got very far with it. My bobbin got all tangled and it put me off. No patience!

Ready · 01/04/2008 09:52

Had my Hopi Ear Candle treatment yesterday, and I have to say, it really is worth having if you ever fancied it. Very relaxing, and clearing. I am going to have another couple of sessions before we fly, as my ears tend to pop on the flight, and can stay blocked for the first couple of days. My therapist showed me all the lumps that were sucked out Nice!

I also had a pedicure at the same place. She is a family friend (the therapist) and so I had been reluctant to ask about reflexology, because I don't want her knowing we are trying. It's not that I don't trust her, but I am a bit of a private person ... so anyway, she said that reflexology would help with my ears/sinuses too - so I asked what else it could do if you didn't have a specific issue , and she said it was good to just relax and it can rebalance the body. So I thought, heck, let's have a go. So I am booked in the end of this month for a session.

How are you both?
