Have a great weekend enjoy the sunny bits

glad to hear the hair came out... sorry to hear about AF and an ear under the weather

Fingers crossed the sunshine will bring you both lots of luck!

yes lets have a bikini half hour and eat ice cream then we can do it again when Ready's back to cheer her up with post holiday blues.

PS: whispers
I am 27 weeks and like short names with the letter K Sat dh and I are going to compare names He has his MRI scan tomorrow its all moving along quite quickly but won't get results until next Wed. I have been trying to get brave as otherwise he gets upset I could be making the baby upset

3catstoo · 24/04/2008 21:08

Ready, poor you. Ear infections are horrid. Hope you feel better soon.
You are not soppy, I think it's great. The farm sounds like a fun thing to do.

The ingrown hairs, yes there were 2 in one place, finally got plucked out by me 2 days ago. All is fine now. Thanks for asking.

Weather here turned horrid too. It was a lovely start but it didn't last long.

DH home tomorrow so won't be on here. Have a great weekend both of you.

Ready · 24/04/2008 14:14

I don?t think you are prying at all City, not at all. I am sorry to hear about your dh and his medical complaint, I hope things get resolved soon for him. And do try not to hide your emotions so much ? it will not do you any good ? sometimes you just have to let it all out.
My dh is doing well, he is nearing the end of his degree, which he has been doing - part-time, and has added to the pressure. But we?ve got each other, and as soppy as it sounds, together, we can get through anything. We?ve been doing lots together ? he took me to a farm the other day to feed all the animals, it was great fun.
How far along are you now? Have you got any ideas for names? Or are you keeping that a closely guarded secret?

3cats, sorry to hear about the migraines leading up to the latest cycle, that sucks.
So pleased to hear that dh has agreed to trying again, I think it is a good idea not to put any pressure on each other though ? but I am sure you know that
I meant to say, how are you getting on with your ingrown hair? Did it find it?s way through the skin? Hope so.

PMSL at the thought of you two in bikinis in homage to me on hol

The weather here is terrible, and I got soaked walking home from the doctors today. I have only gone and got a bloody ear infection. so probably getting wet on the way home wasn?t what the doc had in mind when he said plenty of fluids and rest.

Hi City,

Sorry you are feeling low and sorry to hear about DHs possible surgery. Keep us posted.

Bikini day sounds fab - I could do with a holiday.

AF arrived this morning . Still feeling positive for the coming months though now that DH has come around again.

How are you Ready?

cityangel · 23/04/2008 20:16

Hi

I am really pleased for you 3cats, hide the condoms or find a pin just in case! (only joking) sorry to hear about your bite. There was a piece on the news about the big recent rise in mossies. How are the kids? Keeping you busy? You seem happier I hope so...
Lets plan an online bikini day to coincide with Ready's holiday

Ready your plans sound very sensible. I was worried you'd think I was prying too much although it may not help I really can relate to the frustration. Part of me wanted a reason so we had something to work with. Sorry to hear you sound wound up, its easy to end up feeling that way. It must be tough on dh... job related stress really got to mine a few years ago and at one point he was getting ill with it. Try lots of hugs and romantic nights out... with the odd bit of shopping and ice cream thrown in for good measure especially if the weather improves... roll on your holiday.

I am doing ok, a bit low to be honest. I think you're right Ready I will go for a new start with work when I get back Dh is having tests for a medical complaint that could need risky surgery so have been trying to hide my emotions getting the better of me On a minor note I have the odd niggle and query as the clock is feeling like its starting to tick very loudly in terms of planning so I am off to investigate Mumsnet articles... I have found the site very helpful and you guys very supportive

3catstoo · 22/04/2008 18:00

Hi Ladies,

Not much to tell here. Had a week full of headaches and migraines so AF is on her way.

DH has agreed to keep trying, have I said that already? Sorry if I have. He isn't going to avoid me at the crucial time!

Lets hope he sticks to it and we get somewhere. Although this month we covered all ground, so to speak, so even if we do try it probably won't work again.

Hope you are both well and have had the beautiful weather today.

I've been bitten on my chest and reacted to it. I'm all red. Those little blighters!!!!

Ready · 20/04/2008 10:34

I don't mind you asking at all. Basically we have decided to wait until I have been at the new job a few months before we start the ball rolling again with the next step. Last year we had all the tests done, and the gynae kinda said that as there is nothing seemingly wrong, the next step would be ivf, and we certainly were not ready for that last summer. The gynae was pleased to hear that, I suppose it is unusual for people to say that they'd rather wait. It's just that we knew we would be moving not long after that consulation, and as it proved, we (well dh, but it knocks on to me) have had a nightmare season. So ivf would not have been a good idea with all the upheaval. Anyway... to try and cut down this waffle... we have moved, as you know, and so we need to get back into the system down here - and as soon as I start working, I will see my new gp and get the ball rolling, with the plan of assistance coming about 6+ months into that.

Yes, fingers crossed that the holiday helps with relaxation. I am fairly highly strung at the moment.

Oh, I know, it's not easy to work with muppets and not be affected by it. If only huh! Did you say that you would try to get a different position after baby is born? Or did I dream that?

With regards to cars, how big is the one you have at the moment? I just don't see the point of estates - but then I hate driving big cars. We've got aFocus, and it is so big - we have already said you could easily have 3 children with a focus and still happily get everything in the boot for a hol. I would recommend one instead of an estate... unless you've got a dog or something?

I should shut up now.

OP posts:
cityangel · 20/04/2008 01:22

oh dear Ready big hugs xxx
Holiday will help with relaxation and fun!
any thoughts on possible next steps/ checks etc. or are you going to chill out and go withe the flow. Dh and I were a bit gung ho with the tests and got quite close to fertility treatment in the end. Hope you don't mind me asking

I know I should ignore them as essentially they don't matter but my self esteem at work has taken a bit of a knocking.

Dh was sweet although when we were rowing today you wouldn't think it. Stupid row over not being able to find anywhere to park. We test drove an estate! Very sensible... but I had no idea how much cars cost new and even second hand

right off to bed

Ready · 19/04/2008 15:30

City, you need to find something creative that you really enjoy, it will take your mind off things with work hopefully, help you to switch off when you get home.

Yes! Very excited about the holiday. We deserve a break

Yum, maple syrup , and how sweet of your dh to bring back a babygro

I think men can be just as bitchy to work with as women sometimes, sorry they are winding you up. You need to ignore them, I know it is easier said than done.

I don?t think I am pregnant anymore, it was shortlived hope. Definitely just my sinuses causing me to be out of kilter. Oh well.

OP posts:
cityangel · 18/04/2008 21:12

Oh Ready I really hope so... when can you test. Big hugs either way. I got the little one to cross all its fingers and toes in hopefullness ;)

It sounds regal but in reality the poor swan was wading through rubbish that leaked out of the marina

Its the men at work that wind me up, but then I worked with a lovely bunch of men in my last role. So I think its just the pick of the bunch.

You and 3cats sound very creative I shall have to step it up a bit. I am guilty of buying creative books but not opening them

My dh was away in Canada skiing. He really liked it. He even brought back a Canadian baby grow oh and some yummy maple syrup my naughty ice cream treat.

You must be very excited about hols. I think 3cats and I should go somewhere each for the day and pretend we're with you on the beach!

Ready · 18/04/2008 17:17

Hey ladies? I am not getting my hopes up or anything, but the last few days I have had nausea and light-headedness in the mornings? too early to be pregnancy symptoms, and suspect it is my blocked ears causing me to go off balance and feel queasy. Teeny part of me hopes that it might just be more than that. Hey ho.

The birds here hate me today, as we stayed away over night and I forgot to fill the bird feeder before we left, and when we got home it was empty ? and I am too lazy to go and fill it now (it is cold) ? a pigeon has been wandering around the garden looking forlornly up at the window

City, of you watching a night-fishing swan ? how very regal
Oooh. Movement Is it a totally bizarre feeling? I imagine it would feel wonderful
Sorry to hear that your lot at work are not a lovely bunch ? are they all men? I met the woman I will be working with at my interview, and she seemed really lovely, so we shall see.

3cats, haven?t got a firm start date ? still!! How?s the diy coming along at the house? And how is your sewing? I am almost half way through knitting my cushion cover, and I bought a new beginners guide yesterday, really enjoying it!

Apparently, the only thing that is holding the clearance now is my ?husband?s foreign connections? ? now I could understand if they were from the middle east, but they are Canadian ffs

Oh... and 6 weeks til the hol - woo. Cannot wait!!

OP posts:
cityangel · 17/04/2008 23:45

thanks 3cats I had more luck today with movement so fingers crossed. And my SIL didn't have to have hers early as the scan went better so more waiting

I hope you are doing well

Ready how goes it? Any more fun wildlife in your garden? I am watching a swan night fishing in mine!

3catstoo · 17/04/2008 09:59

City, I'm sure everything will be fine. The wait always seems like a long time between appts. As long as you are feeling baby move daily that's a good sign. (although not always when you want them to move - usually in the middle of the night in my experience ).

Ready, how long until work starts?

cityangel · 16/04/2008 22:44

3cats that's really good news I was getting worried about you

I hope you're feeling a happy spring bunny

Hey Ready not long now until new job right? I hope they are a nice bunch and better than my lot How long till holiday?

I'm doing ok. The wait in between appointments is hard and getting me down. I worry a bit too much. Hopefully all is ok

Ready · 16/04/2008 17:10

That's great news 3cats, all of it. The strengthening and the breakthrough on the contraception side of things. Oh, and mustn't forget the diy I hope that you feel happy and in turn relaxed, you will probably conceive just as soon as you relax and stop thinking about it.

OP posts:
3catstoo · 16/04/2008 11:01

Hi Ladies,

Just a brief visit. DH is home doing DIY this week. The house is in chaos. Hopefully will be worth it in the end.

Had a bit of a breakthrough with DH deciding that he won't use condoms or avoid me when he thinks the time is right .

Might not work as we have tried for over a year at the right time but at least we are getting on and more relaxed now.

I think what has happened has strengthened our relationship.

Hugs to you both.

xxx

Ready · 15/04/2008 16:33

3cats where are you chick!!! Hope you are ok?

OP posts:
Ready · 15/04/2008 10:37

Straight away I said "I bet Fergie sent a vintage bottle to Bruce for that result" - I was gutted with footie the day before. Not a good couple of days for us football fans huh!
I just know you will be a brilliant mum City, you waited long enough to find out huh

OP posts:
cityangel · 14/04/2008 23:06

thanks Ready your support is very encouraging I am glad your session went well... I wonder if my feet will tell how much I hate my job!

I hope your new job is good. How is your dh getting along. Mine is sulking after Chelsea gave a late goal away. I had to console him with beer

3cats are you ok? Hope all is well

Right off to cheer up grumpy.

Ready · 14/04/2008 16:34

I am certain you will be like a duck to water City, don't fret - just read plenty so you feel like you are up to speed on everything.
Reflexology was good, she said that my feet were yellow and apparently that means that I am "totally fed up. Resentful, indignant and displeased. Have a jaundiced view of life" I'd say that pretty much sums me up

OP posts:
cityangel · 14/04/2008 13:20

oops crashed

cityangel · 14/04/2008 13:20

Reflexology sounds cool I'd like to try that.

Yes hopefully SIL will be ok she's in good hands.

I hope your friend finished ok. We saw some runners in difficultly with the rain

Now the flat is sorted I am just focusing on trying to learn as much as possible in the next 3 months. Surprisingly hard when you can't practice

Oh no City Sorry to hear that, hope everything works out ok for them.
Yes, I am getting everything done while I have the time. Reflexology appointment tomorrow.
A friend of ours did the marathon today, well, suspect he is still running now.

OP posts:
cityangel · 12/04/2008 22:22

Hey guys... yes the carpet is in and we are sitting down in a tidy flat for the first time We're watching the marathon run up our road tomorrow.

Worried tonight as my sister in law (34 weeks pg) may be admitted to give birth next week due to slow growth issues. There's little we can do other than wait

Fingers crossed for your job Ready. I bet once you're busy you'll be craving the time at home! Make sure you do all those appoinmenty beauty etc things you can't get done in the office!

3cats how are things? Hope you're doing ok
