Have a fab weekend ladies. Hope the weather is good.

Wise words Ready.

Not sure what I will do. I am a self employed accountant/bookkeeper already (only one client but it keeps me up to date doing tax returns and accounts prep. Earn pennies from it!).

I don't think the sewing thing will take off as I haven't even finished that skirt I started months ago .

I know what you mean about getting pg when you have a change. Lets hope we are both successful on that front.

Right, I have a messy house to tidy (again).

Ready · 05/07/2008 13:30

I will post a photo up soon, you might need to remind me.

Cannot believe how quickly your pregnancy has been City, I am so excited for you and mat leave. I am sure everything will be just fine with the Strep, they know about it, and it can be managed, that is good news. Cling to that.

3cats, any idea what you want to do when you go back to work? You know it might just be what you need to fall pg. I know it sounds mental, but you do hear about it happening, a change and then BAM!

I am doing good... not really thinking too much about ttc. I mean it is always there, in the back of my mind, but I am not letting it rule my life anymore. What will be, will be.

City, listening to children read is great. My DH did that for a few years at a school in Kings Cross. He found it very rewarding. He read with the same boy for a long time and really bonded with him. They bought each other parting gifts when the boy moved to a new school.

As a parent you tend to get involved in some society or charitable group along the course of the children growing up. I'm finding it's also a good way to keep my mind ticking over ready for the inevitable return to 'proper' work.

Have a fab weekend ladies.

cityangel · 04/07/2008 00:58

Hey I missed you guys sorry to hear you are down 3cats and hope your work is going better Ready

You sound like you're up against it 3cats especially now you're trying lots and it isn't working. I hope things work out the way you're hoping and some of the options could help, but I imagine it will be difficult to persuade dh.

Volunteer work sounds very admirable. I volunteer listening to kids read at lunchtime but that's only a small thing. I finish work in a week yay... very strange for me to be wrapping up work for 6 months

I am not as worried about the Group Strep B thing now, just need antibiotics from when my waters break or contractions properly start every 4 hours until the birth. Then if the little one shows no sign of infection then they don't need any. Fingers crossed. Just worried because we have a friend and family member who were very seriously impacted by the infection post birth so we're taking it more seriously than we might have. That's why we got the private test done in the first place, but I was quite surprised to be positive. Which is silly really because the odds are quite high.

anyways we still need to do our bikini day Ready has to post a photo from holiday, Photoshop yourself out and show us the sunny background!

3catstoo · 03/07/2008 13:41

Hi,

Gosh we are all so busy at the moment.

City, sorry about the strep B, what are the implications?
Please don't worry about talking about your pg. It was just one particular RL friend that had a bad effect on me. We are so happy for you so no more about it.

Ready, office politics is horrid to cope with. I'm never good at it. I just say what I think (and what everybody else is thinking) and people don't like to hear the truth. I will have to learn to bite my tongue if I ever go back to office life.

I haven't been on here because after AF came I was very down. Once that had passed DD had an op so I was occupied with her.

Now I am bogged down with the voluntary work that I do. One lot is coming to a natural end for me but the other is continuing.

We have again 'tried' very hard already this month. We are wearing ourselves out!

DH is 40 next year and I think he will want to stop trying then. I have looked into IUI and the costs of going privately. I haven't broached the subject with DH yet, I will get this cycle out of the way first. I might start doing opks next month just to try again to confirm the time when I might be Oving.

Big Big Hugs to both of you.

xxxx

Ready · 02/07/2008 21:45

Sorry, I have not been on for a while because of work and social commitments, busy busy busy.

Sorry to hear that you tested positive for groupB What does that mean for baby?

Work still has its politics, but I am just keeping my head down and letting them get on with it. Whenever they say anything I just smile or something and say very little. I like the principal of only saying what I would be happy saying to everyone. I will borrow that if you don't mind

Hope you are both well?

x

Hi guys I hope you are doing ok. Thanks for keeping a space for me to join you for catch ups. I really hope your luck is in this month.

Ready I hope work got better. I totally sympathise with the work politics. I have exactly the same issue where I am. I also reckon staying out of it is the best answer. I try and work on the principal that anything I say or e-mail should be in a state to be repeated to the whole office.

Things are a bit tough here. A really good friends' Mum died very unexpectedly. Really hit home how you have to live life to the full and appreciate friends and family.

Also a bit stressed as I tested positive for Group B Step and I'm working through the implications for birth/ little one etc.

Still I have a lot to be thankful for so I shall work on picking myself up this weekend and trying some postive thinking.

I hope things are going ok for you both xx hugs

Ready · 20/06/2008 19:35

3cats, we've synchronised! It is CD3 for me today! Sorry to hear that you are back round into another cycle. It's shit isn't it. Big hugs babe! If you want to talk about it you know where we are.

City, please don't feel bad about telling us your news, it's totally different. You struggled to get where you are and we want to hear about it.

I have had a busy week back at work, and although this will probably sound lame, I have really enjoyed using my brain. I am tired today, but feel quite energised too - if that makes any sense? - there are a lot of politics in the office, that have started to rear their ugly heads - and it is difficult for me - ever the optimist - I always see the good in everyone, and it seems I am the only one. Certainly the only one where I work. But I am not going to get sucked in by it. I will just leave them all to it.

Fingers crossed for a lovely weekend, we are supposed to be having a bbq tomorrow - and I am looking forward to it.

Hope you are both well xx

Oh 3cats I am sorry me posting won't help much Big hugs

3catstoo · 19/06/2008 23:04

Hello,

Sorry, my email was down for a bit, very frustrating.

I'm ok ish. CD2 today, feeling very as we tried so hard and didn't feel stressed. Finding out about someone elses (I don't get on with ) pg didn't help. She has now been pg twice in the 2 yrs that I've been trying.

I won't go on as I really do feel down about it.

Hope you are both ok?

Will catch up next week when I'm out of my mood.

Big hugs.
xxxxx

cityangel · 18/06/2008 00:08

doing ok time off for hospital birthing class today scary stuff none of the options are very appealing except the (hopefully) positive outcome Not sure baby is in right position either find out on Friday, but we are lucky and things are ok.

Maybe given you are in a new area the tests could be re-run to possibly shed light on a cause the could have been missed. Lots of ifs and buts there but worth a try? Things could also have changed with time? I am not saying there is an explanation as we certainly never got one. If nothing else a second shot at the HCG possible tube clearing side effect could be worth it? I hope I am not interfering too much. I am terrible without answers for everything and I'm sure you find the same.

Big Hugs from East London...

... when was the last time we heard from 3cats getting worried now

Ready · 17/06/2008 19:34

I doubt the wait will be shorter, as I read the official guidelines that they publish on their site. Frustratingly, if we had a reason for infertility then we would be referred immediately - but because it is "unexplained" it's 3 years. Oh well.

How are you both doing?

OP posts:
cityangel · 16/06/2008 00:37

That is frustrating about the waiting still best to see the doc and get in the system you never know the wait might be shorter?

I bet you miss holiday! Still work could be fun

I hope you guys have a great week!

3cats you ok?

Ready · 13/06/2008 20:11

Well yes, I would think that ruling out a tumour would set the mind at rest. That is good news that he is coping more with it. Fingers crossed for some more good news.

Oh, just mourning the holiday, that's all - I am actually looking forward to getting my teeth into working - might take my mind off of ttc.

Did a bit of research into assisted conception, and it seems that our new area won't even consider couples for ivf/iui until they have been trying for 3 years - so since we are not even at 2 years yet, seems that ivf is a way off anyway, even if we were ready for that (we aren't) step we wouldn't be able to start the ball rolling. Makes it easier to just concentrate on life a bit for a while I guess.

How exciting about the bridesmaid shopping ... dh is bestman in 2 weeks, I am not involved in the wedding, so I am fairly excited about being able to enjoy a wedding without having any responsibilities

OP posts:
cityangel · 12/06/2008 23:21

Dh says ears are bearable and he's happier now a brain tumour has been ruled out. Still lots of tests but he's got more used to it now.

Your holiday sounds great we even had a bit of sun to cheer us up here while you were gone.

Are you not liking the new job already or just mourning holiday.

Dh is away this weekend still I am going wedding dress shopping in my large bridesmaid capacity on Sat so that should keep me busy. What are you guys up to?

Ready · 12/06/2008 10:30

pmsl at the comparison between bikini line and painting the skirting Classic.

Holiday was amazing, I can't really say much more than that, we did plenty of walking and eating, and drinking (not binge drinking though) and plenty of time for just us, which was wonderful. I would definitely go back, beautiful country.

Bless your dh City, you can tell him I am doing ok... how is he doing with his ears?

I'm back at work on Monday. Booooo.

OP posts:
cityangel · 11/06/2008 23:48

Yay Ready's back Dh asked me how you were getting on when we walked to work this morning

How was it? When are you back at work?

3catsoo I got dh to sort my bikini line yesterday he approached it with some enthusiasm rather like painting the skirting boards he said!

Hope you are both ok xxx

Ready · 11/06/2008 16:59

Hi girls... I am back and bronze

Had a wonderful time and didn't want to come home.

OP posts:
cityangel · 08/06/2008 00:18

3catsoo damn I am going for lunch tomorrow and would totally embarass my next door neighbour turning up in a bikini especially given I am quite big now (whispers 33 weeks)

You both sound like you've been at it loads so fingers crossed. Oh to have the mobility back for some good nookie am very horny but too uncomfortable and too much in the way to do it how I like it

I will have a look at the weather for next Sun... I am going wedding dress shopping in Saturday... or maybe one evening next week. I Could watch TV in my bikini!

3catstoo · 06/06/2008 09:28

Hi,

Can't believe I missed Ready going away.
We had family staying so no pc for me.

How are you City?

Yesterday would have been a great day for our bikini day, the weather was lovely here, oh well. How long is Ready away for?
Today or the weekend it will have to be if she's only gone for a week!

Lots of bding here too this week. I think I have worn DH out . Hopefully right timing. Although I seem to be more horny when I have AF than when I am possibly fertile .

We may have to keep bding through the weekend just to cover all bases.

How many weeks are you now City, I lose track.

Hope you are still having a ball Ready and have a few more Cherry Brandys for me!

Ready · 04/06/2008 18:41

Greetings! Madeira calling How are you both?
I am totally blissed out... plenty of sun and you know what ... no sand, cos it is a volcano without beaches, but sea a plenty and I swapped sangria for Cherry brandy and lemonade. Cheers!
