@SylvieArth sorry to hear you're having such a tough time. I know there are lots of lovely people on here and you're certainly not alone. It's nice to know there are other people out there going through the same thing. It's such an odd time I think because on the one hand it's so important personally to be TTC, can be exciting and also devastating but you can't always get support from your nearest and dearest because we have this veil of secrecy surrounding it usually.

@tryingtryinggone sorry to hear about AF. Hope you're ok and doing something nice for yourself this weekend

Dreamingof3 · 28/05/2022 19:11

@SylvieArth I'm so sorry you're going through this. I can only imagine what it's like for you. I hope we can be helpful xx

SylvieArth · 28/05/2022 18:22

My family know we are trying but I don't want to constantly talk to them about how much I'm wanting this, or talking to them about every 2ww if you get me.. I just think I'll find most comfort here. I'm currently being monitored by GP as I have stage 3 endometriosis as well. We're going to try 2 more months naturally before we take some next steps I think xx thank you so much for replying to me xx

lj2022 · 28/05/2022 18:17

@SylvieArth I am so sorry to hear you are struggling I can imagine what you're going through! I think you'd be surprised at how much support you could find in confiding to your friends but I'm sure you'll find some comfort on Mumsnet too. Hope you don't mind me asking is your GP investigating anything for you?

SylvieArth · 28/05/2022 17:02

Hey all,
I'm really struggling, been trying for a baby for over a year and had 2 miscarriages. Currently in the two week wait again and it's taking a toll on me. Its quite a lonely thing really as you can't talk to friends and family too much about it as when you do get pregnant you want it to be this lovely surprise. Hoping I can make some connections here with people that understand xx

Dreamingof3 · 28/05/2022 16:43

@tryingtryinggone ahh no 😪 it definitely goes slowly doesn't it!

I know getting lucky first month is unlikely but if we did I'd find out around father's day which would be nice! Anyone due on around then?

tryingtryinggone · 28/05/2022 16:27

Well AF has finally turned up a day late 🙃 those out of date tests have swiftly gone in the bin as the avaps were ridiculous. Going to use OPKs this month so fingers crossed. Time seems to go so slowly when you’re ttc

Dreamingof3 · 28/05/2022 13:18

@DesertSnow I use premom and femometer, just the free versions. They have my ovulation way out but then updates itself pretty well when I add in opks.

Im bored 🤣 cd15 currently and jot due to ovulate until at least 20/21, I just want to get on with it!

lj2022 · 28/05/2022 09:51

@DesertSnow I use natural cycles and Premom. I prefer the simplicity of natural cycles but have started using Premom for OPKs they both seem very accurate. Premom showing I ovulated a day later than natural cycles but it is my first month using Premom so it doesn't know my cycles as well yet

Theawkwardblonde · 28/05/2022 00:05

@WingingIt09 thanks for adding me to the updated list!

So it's first month properly TTC no 2 for us. Very anxious. Took so long last time so don't know how I feel about the possibility of it taking ages again. Anyway, in the TWW now! Don't know if I want it to happen quickly, or fir it to take a while to let c section heal further. Exciting times ahead though!

Nyxxie · 27/05/2022 22:06

I'm so excited to have moved to the pregnant list! Estimated due date at the moment is 29/1/23 ☺️

WingingIt09 · 27/05/2022 22:02

@Cherrymarket all changed. Vertigo.. how lovely 🤢

I am 6dpo and both yesterday and today have been feeling nauseous in the evenings. Feels like it's too early for symptoms though?

OP posts:
Cherrymarket · 27/05/2022 21:46

None not no all 🙄

Cherrymarket · 27/05/2022 21:46

I used Femometer as well, however I relied on opks and cm to tell me when I’m ovulating as no all seemed to be accurate (I don’t ovulate the same day each month).

@WingingIt09 that is a long list!
i am now pregnant due 31/1/23. Currently feeling the vertigo 🤢

@DesertSnow I use fertility friend and premom.

OP posts:
Theawkwardblonde · 27/05/2022 20:29

@DesertSnow I use two just to doubley improve accuracy. Flo and Femometer. They seem to run in sync now and are pretty darn accurate I've found.

PinkButtercups · 27/05/2022 20:27

Congratulations to all the new BFP's!

And baby dust to all those still trying!

According to my app I'm 8+3. Midwife isn't booked in until 11 weeks.. I got really bad heartburn which didn't happen until later on with my DS. Also, the most tender boobs even if I touch them or DS pushes on them to get up. I don't know why he does he's just a bit of a booby boy 🤣. Again, at 16 weeks with DS is when I had really burning boobs!

DesertSnow · 27/05/2022 17:47

What apps do people use and generally find to be the most reliable for tracking cycles? I've downloaded a few but wondering if anybody had found any particular ones to be superior? And are the paid versions worth it? Grateful to hear all/any experience!

lj2022 · 27/05/2022 00:02

@Summerbreeze111 oh that's exciting with cycle 1 are you using any apps ? My one piece of advice for the TWW is that the first week is completely useless and impossible to get any symptoms of pregnancy so just treat that week as normal as you can. Doing that has helped the first week fly in as I know nothing is really going on in my body.

This is our first too so navigating the TTC minefield. Cycle number 6 for us so getting a little exhausting and emotionally draining right now. I know I'll be mega disappointed this month if nothing as 6 seems a big number in TTC but also trying to be realistic and manage my expectations.

Fingers crossed for you this cycle you never know. My sister in law got pregnant first cycle (we started trying around the same time) although it's highly unlikely it can happen. First few cycles were fun to navigate through with a lot more excitement and not much disappointment so try enjoy!

LucyLoopyLu · 26/05/2022 22:38

Oh so glad I'm not the only one going down a social media scroll hole on a regular basis! Makes me feel a lot better.

Also glad I'm not the only one not sharing all the tiny details with my OH. I don't want him to feel pressured as I'm very conscious that my broody brain and body seems to be screaming at me every month to get pregnant and highly doubt he has the same sense of urgency! Sometimes it's good to have one of you be chilled out at least.

@Summerbreeze111 I'm TTC for the first time too, feels very odd and momentous, I'm just keeping my fingers crossed. I'm on cycle 3 since I had my coil removed, but in first cycle we didn't DDD in my fertile window at all so I'm calling this cycle 2.

Summerbreeze111 · 26/05/2022 21:13

lj2022 · 26/05/2022 10:36

@Summerbreeze111 oh how good to have someone in the TWW fingers crossed! How long have you been TTC?

@Hjudge56 oh sorry to hear that still keeping fingers crossed for you 🤞

The tww starts from today for me! I have a feeling the next 2 weeks are going to go super slow.

Its our first cycle, so very early days for me! Trying to manage my expectations as I know its rarely an easy ride. Excuse the pun 🙊 just started using OPKs and trying to understand the process of reading results and timing ttc.

How about you? Do you have any other dc? This will be our first, feel like we've waited years for this moment seems a little surreal tbh!

lj2022 · 26/05/2022 19:39

@Dreamingof3 glad to see I'm not the only one getting lost on TikTok haha

@Theawkwardblonde I feel as the months go on I definitely push for more sex in the fertile week even if I'm not feeling it. I think men just always have a bit of the fear though. Just on TikTok people talking about TTC and pregnant people and just everything parenthood related and honestly it's so addictive

Theawkwardblonde · 26/05/2022 19:05

@WingingIt09 can you move me over to actively trying next time please? It's our second we are trying for.

I was holding off till July but I'm back peeing on Opks all day and we're not using protection so 🤷🏼‍♀️

@lj2022 that's good you're trying to relax. When we were trying for our D, poor husband would look ill when I told him it was my fertile week 😂😂 mind you it had been 18 months so I'll let him off.

Also what is this TTC tiktok? I feel im missing out but know ill end up down a rabbit hole.

Tropicana1 · 26/05/2022 18:49

@LucyLoopyLu my husband knows I do opk's but doesn't know it's 3x a day some days 🤣 and I haven't told him about temping because he may think I'm a crazy person but he sees me temp some morning and doesn't say anything so probably just thinks I'm a mega hypochondriac thinking I'm coming down with a fever all the time 😂
