@Brightonbelle87 Congratulations, wonderful news!

I made it to the end of CD2 before I caved and started taking the tablets again. I just can't deal with my period when it's like this, I can see us not being able to TTC for some time if it carries on being this heavy.

hevann · 25/04/2022 22:25

Congratulations @Brightonbelle87! Fab news to come back to!

Sorry been MIA! My app had stopped working so had to uninstall 🙄

Just finishing what feels like my millionth period since coming off the pill in January. Hoping for a BFP this next cycle. I've bought conceive plus ovulation tablets & conceive plus fertility tablets this time round so hoping these will help this month. DH & I had the chat about if it doesn't happen in 6 months we'll go to the doctors to both get checked. Fingers crossed it doesn't get to that stage.

Thinking of everyone on their next cycles!! xx

FourOclock · 25/04/2022 21:22

Yay @Brightonbelle87 so pleased the positives have kept on coming! Congratulations!

lj2022 · 25/04/2022 21:03

@Brightonbelle87 congratulations on your BFP how exciting! Have you been trying long? I understand it must be worrying after a loss, sorry to hear that happened. Sending all the best wishes for a happy healthy pregnancy x

Nypie · 25/04/2022 20:45

@WingingIt09 oh noo thats so annoying I've had one leak in the last few years but that was because I kept it in waay too long 🙄. They have some great tutorials on youtube on how to put it in I do the C fold, sometimes I run my finger round it to make sure its opened but lately I've found TMI putting it in then pushing as if going to the toilet helps it to expand then I just push it up. My first cup was a lunette which I think is great cause the plastic is not too soft so it naturally wants to push back into its shape the one I have now is a be you which I love soo soft but a but trickier when your getting used to it. Pesevere ladies.

@LemonZestDribbles there's always one 😂😂 :p

@Springblossom2022 👋👋👋 Somedays all I can think about is a baba other days I wanna quit my job and go live on a beach!

@Brightonbelle87 whispers congratulationsss 🥳🥳🥳

@BlueberryMacaron I know what you mean in someways part of me thinks 30 is a bit old fertility wise but most of my friends my age arent even thinking about kids and I know people a lot older who have just had my first sometimes I feel like I may be rushing but I also know its the right time for me.

WingingIt09 · 25/04/2022 20:09

@Brightonbelle87 congratulations! What will your due date be and I'll add it to the list

@Springblossom2022 welcome!

@BlueberryMacaron I thought that when we tried for our first and we conceived first month 🙊 we were so so lucky. You've made me giggle with 30 being young for your first... I'm only just 30 and TTC my 3rd 😂🙈 although I know I'm unusual in that as most of my friends have just had their first. Everyone IRL seems surprised when I say I'm only 30 given my eldest is 4.5 (feel I should take offence there as clearly they think I look older than I am 😳)

@Brightonbelle87 tentative congratulations to you. Hopefully everything will go smoothly this time

BlueberryMacaron · 25/04/2022 19:38

@Springblossom2022 welcome!! I know what you mean when you go between being desperate for a baby and being terrified. It's a massive leap into the unknown. I also worry because I don't know what my fertility is like. Almost all my close friends with children have taken 12 months+ to conceive, so I'm starting earlier than I would ideally ( I feel like 30 is young!) but I just want to give myself time if there are any problems.

Dreamingof3 · 25/04/2022 19:23

Omg congratulations @Brightonbelle87 🎊 ❤️❤️

Brightonbelle87 · 25/04/2022 18:50

I've been using ovia which has been useful in predicting AF cycle lengths and fertility windows, although I did use Boots opks last month and they came up with an earlier fertile window by 2 days. We also bought fertility lube called conceive plus and used it for the first time last month. I'm so cynical and swear these things are all mumbo jumbo but they obviously helped because... my pregnancy tests have been positive for 5 days straight so I've got my BFP!

Feeling quite nervous and don't really want to get excited after my miscarriage last time. I probably won't fully accept I'm actually pregnant for another week or two.

Good luck for everyone trying this month, think we had a few TWWs?

SarahShorty · 25/04/2022 18:41

@Springblossom2022 welcome! 😊

Springblossom2022 · 25/04/2022 18:23

Hello! Would I be able to join? I'm 24 and my partner is 33. We've been together 3 and a half years, bought our first home together a year and a half ago and are wanting to try for a baby soon (ish?!). We've only ever used condoms as contraception as I struggled with being on the pill. Never had any accidents and the condoms have always worked perfectly for us. I'm taking folic acid and generally trying to eat a little bit better (mainly just cutting out the extra chocolate that I shouldn't be eating haha!). We aren't sure when we want to try yet. Some days I feel desperate to have a baby and others it's a scary thought! Just want to join along for the ride to feel a little less alone Smile

WingingIt09 · 25/04/2022 18:00

@BlueberryMacaron Amazon here too. I've used one step in the past and now using easy@home. The latter seem more sensitive so I am going to stick with them

OP posts:
SarahShorty · 25/04/2022 17:34

@BlueberryMacaron I get mine through Amazon.

BlueberryMacaron · 25/04/2022 17:20

And sorry for all the questions, where do people get their OPKs/BBT from? Does it matter which or are they all much of a muchness?

@BlueberryMacaron i use the free version of fertility friend and also premom for my OPKs

OP posts:
LemonZestDribbles · 25/04/2022 15:57

@FourOclock oooh I'm going to look into these

@BlueberryMacaron I use Flo. I did use Femometer before but the app totally changed its interface and I couldn't cope so went with a new app 🤣

Amber17 · 25/04/2022 15:47

@BlueberryMacaron I paid for Natural Cycles and am using one step OPKs with the free version of premom. Have used Clue for periods for years so still tracking on that too. Currently all three have wildly different predictions for my next AF 😂

Cherrymarket · 25/04/2022 13:15

@BlueberryMacaron I have used period tracker since forever, but I also use Femometer as it has an auto opk analyser (that I take with a pinch of salt).
i have not been on contraception for years now and we conceived using the natural family planning method. I read a book called taking Charge of your fertility which was good, and there’s also a podcast called fertility Friday which is good for fertility and tracking tips, although can be repetitive!

Dreamingof3 · 25/04/2022 13:12

@BlueberryMacaron I'm using premom with Easy @ home tests too

SarahShorty · 25/04/2022 13:06

@BlueberryMacaron I'm using the Premom app with the accompanying easy@home OPK. I'm avoiding using any early detection HCG tests. It's just too easy for me to get my hopes up and have them dashed when it comes back negative.

lj2022 · 25/04/2022 13:05

@BlueberryMacaron I use natural cycles and honestly love it I take my BBT and it's so good to know I'm actually ovulating. Most apps only go by estimating ovulation so I like that it pinpoints it by using BBT. I've had 2 friends have great success with it so hoping that same success comes for me too

BlueberryMacaron · 25/04/2022 12:54

Which fertility/cycle tracking apps are we using and are you paying for them? It's an overwhelming minefield out there!

Cherrymarket · 25/04/2022 12:50

CD1 for me today… it has begun 😬😬
