Yay congratulations to the new mommas 🤰 it's lovely seeing that list grow!

Dreamingof3 · 27/04/2022 22:50

Look at that 'pregnant' list growing 😍

Thank you everyone. Means a lot.

Got a busy few weeks ahead. Started taking my pregnacare tablets. Had a free voucher for Amazon so got them free and ordered 3 boxes. Amazon sent me an email to say they will be delivered tomorrow or Friday but I already got them so I'm not complaining about a freebie. They're the big boxes too Grin.

Result! Lol xx

Hi everyone 👋🏼

I’m usually more of a lurker on mumsnet but my DH and I would like to try for a baby this year! Looking at trying after our honeymoon in August.

Currently have the mirena coil - does anyone have any experience of this? I planned to get it taken out around July time as I know they say you can get pregnant as soon as it’s out, but should I get it out earlier and start tracking?

Sorry if I come across a bit clueless - I’m brand new to this and the first of my friends to try for a baby! Thanks in advance for any advice ☺️

Congratulations to everyone who has had their BFP! Xx

LucyLoopyLu · 27/04/2022 21:26

Hi everyone, just checking in! This has been a busy thread, I like reading everyone's updates 🙂

Congratulations @Brightonbelle87 and @PinkButtercups, sending best wishes your way ❤

I am thinking of this as first "proper" cycle TTC, my app is predicting ovulation at the weekend. We DTD today and hoping for Fri and Sat/Sun as well but just trying to make it seem "natural" as I don't want my OH to feel pressured and stress us both out, especially so early on!

Good luck to everyone else and hi to the newbies x

Dreamingof3 · 27/04/2022 21:21

@dollface22 @ALR2 welcome and good luck!

Currently watching Yorkshire Midwives on Call to really amp up the broodiness 😅

PinkButtercups · 27/04/2022 21:11

Also good luck for everyone trying and in the TWW.

Is anyone having problems with the app? It doesn't let me upload a picture. Just keeps saying error.

Aww good luck on your journey and nice to meet you! Xx

HeathenPlayingHouse · 27/04/2022 20:41

A thought occurred to me tonight which has given me an idea, but I'm not sure if it's a good one.

My hormones are out of whack, so it's like I'm stuck in permanent period mode. When we have our periods, our oestrogen levels are low, but should rise once we enter the follicular phase. So if I'm constantly bleeding, it stands to reason that my levels are not where they should be.

I have 5 rounds of Clomid left from when we were TTC1. Clomid is meant to work by tricking your body into thinking your oestrogen level is lower than it really is, so it might give my levels the push I need to get back on track.

Do you think it's a bad idea to consider it?

ALR2 · 27/04/2022 20:24

Hi all 👋🏻 Please can I join?

We are thinking of starting ttc #2 in May/ June. Ideally June due to DD starting school next September and I want to have most of my maternity leave over her first year at school to do the drop off/ pick ups but don’t think I can wait that long! 🤦‍♀️ I’m using OPK’s and the Premom app, as well as Flo to track my cycle.

Sending baby dust all your way! X

Thank you @WingingIt09 and @Alice1608 ! Definitely not got much hope currently but I guess everyone always says ‘you’re not out till AF shows!’ C

@PinkButtercups congratulations!!

@Alice1608 welcome!

@Hjudge56 did you track ovulation? Could you perhaps have ovulated later than you think?

Aww thank you! Xx

Hjudge56 · 27/04/2022 18:18

@WingingIt09 im quite sure I ovulated on CD 11! From Flo app, ovulation tests and EWCM was present on only that day!

im now CD27 and usually AF comes on the dot every month on CD 24-25!

WingingIt09 · 27/04/2022 18:16

Hjudge56 · 27/04/2022 18:15

@Dreamingof3 Yeah I did track! I know it’s late which is why I’m very doubtful :(!

but I’ve got symptoms that I never usually get and no sign of AF! Usually I am 24/25 days on the dot never any later! Today is day 27 so I’m just thinking out loud and wondering if anyone has been in a similar boat!

Dreamingof3 · 27/04/2022 18:07

@Hjudge56 did you track your Ovulation? I'd have thought 16dpo you'd get a positive but I've definitely heard of people not getting them til later!

Random thought. Does anyone use a fitbit or similar? I'd seen something ages ago about resting heart rate being an indicator of pregnancy and in my last pregnancy it definitely was. I can go back on my chart and see it rise around the time I got a positive test and then continue rising and staying high until she was born and then drop again quite dramatically....just in case anyone wanted something else to obsess over 🤣🤞

Hjudge56 · 27/04/2022 17:29

That meant to say I’m still BFN 🤪!

Hjudge56 · 27/04/2022 16:50

Hey guys!

just wondering if anyone has any success stories on getting a BFP after 16DPO? I’m 2 days late for period but still BFP! A couple faint lines yesterday but nothing today! Advice and stories very welcome! I’ve got very sore breasts, fatigued, dragging sensation in uterus etc!

Alice1608 · 27/04/2022 16:17

dearhummingbirds · 27/04/2022 16:06

Congratulations @PinkButtercups !

@lj2022 I work for a local
authority, too, so have the same breakdown as you. I have done some calculations, and it does worry me a little. I think we’re just going to save as much as we can. But hopefully we can survive off my DPs wage, too.

It’s the childcare costs that I’m
worried about when I go back to
work, as we have no relatives nearby.

This is something I'm worried about too! I am the majority earner and they only do statutory maternity pay here and I don't know how we are to live off that?! Going back we will have to pay childcare but its a minimum of 2 days now I'm told and that's if there is even a place... xx

@Alice1608 I’m on the website, not the app. But if you press the down arrow at the top of the page there is an option to flip the thread.

Found it! Thank you!! Xx
