Drs area bit ridiculous at the moment! I can guarantee if it were men who had coils and implants etc they'd all be seen same day 😅

DanisEndo · 06/05/2022 13:46

@Tropicana1 Ahhh how did you know they would do it? Did you have to call first or literally turn up? Historically when i went for the pill I'd often be turned away because there was too many people who had got there hours before they opened waiting for walk in appointments 😬

Tropicana1 · 06/05/2022 13:41

@DanisEndo I had my coil removed much sooner than my gp could offer at a family planning clinic - the wait at the gp was nearly 8 weeks! Family planning was walk in or next week appointments

keeponsmiling2019 · 06/05/2022 12:47

@LemonZestDribbles possibly!

It's going to be one of three scenarios

  1. I'm just having a random long cycle and Af will show any day now
  2. The spotting i had CD15-17 was a random short cycle and im in a new cycle and Af will be here in two weeks then I can get cracking with ovulation tests
  3. I'm pregnant and it's not showing on tests yet.
I'll check back when I have an update as it's useful for others. Congrats to those with BFPs so far and good luck to the May TTC gang x
DanisEndo · 06/05/2022 10:22

@LucyLoopyLu I didnt get a chance to, to be honest! Receptionist was obviously very rushed and just wanted me off the phone when i said it was non-urgent and didnt require a same day appointment. Seems like such a waste of the doctors time to have a phone consultation before when i dont mind just booking it for a few weeks away :') Just want to know it's scheduled y'know.

I'll try them again and mention coil removal specifically and just do what they say as like yours the family planning here is not convenient.

Thank you for replying!

LucyLoopyLu · 06/05/2022 10:18

@DanisEndo have you asked your GP reception about an appointment for coil removal specifically? I had a nightmare getting booked it, took me about 6/8 weeks from first call to actual appointment but I got there in the end at my GP surgery (they were very apologetic for the delays / mistakes).
I also booked an appointment at family planning, but ended up cancelling that one as it was later and also was an hour each way for me to travel in the car to get there (!) I booked over the phone though and they were lovely and helpful, just had limited slots.

Anyway just a word of warning. If you're thinking about it try and get your app booked in ASAP - my GP also wanted to do a telephone consultation before removal which needs a separate appointment.

DanisEndo · 06/05/2022 10:10

Hi everyone, been ages and I've missed looaaads but so nice to see some success already and so many actively trying! I'm on folic acid in preparation and have just ordered a stack of ovulation sticks ready for as soon as my coil is out.

I need to book an appointment to have the IUD removed but i have no idea where...? GP or family planning? GP wont let me book anything 'non-urgent' so do io need to say this is urgent to get a call? and family planning by me is walk in only is that ok?? I had it put in during surgery for endo so didnt have to arrange anything last time!!

LemonZestDribbles · 06/05/2022 09:08

@keeponsmiling2019 could stress be making your period late?

@NarnieJoy I'm so sorry. Hope you're doing okay ❤

@DanceWithYourBalloon I can see a line - hopefully it darkens into a bfp 🤞🤞

Tropicana1 · 06/05/2022 08:29

Hi ladies! Hope you're all well, not been on in a week or so - DH got back on board with TTC and luckily haven't missed my fertile week as just got my positive OPK this morning! 🙌🏻

@NarnieJoy sorry to hear about your CP x

@DanceWithYourBalloon its a squinter but I think I see something there!

WingingIt09 · 05/05/2022 19:59

Hope it arrives soon for you @Dreamingof3 mine should be due 10th/11th and then I can start TTC! Very exciting!

Dreamingof3 · 05/05/2022 17:28

@NarnieJoy I'm really sorry 🥺 it's absolutely nothing you can blame yourself for xx

@WingingIt09 we go on the 16th. Currently I'm due on 9th but I was hoping to cut a few days off the cycle. Going to be ttc June at this rate 🥴

Theawkwardblonde · 05/05/2022 17:25

@NarnieJoy sorry to hear that. CPs suck..I've had a few. Rest up and take some time for yourself. Please Do not blame yourself as it's very easy to do so.

WingingIt09 · 05/05/2022 17:06

@DanceWithYourBalloon I see it. I hope it gets darker for you!

@NarnieJoy I'm sorry to hear about your CP. You're definitely right not to blame yourself, take care of yourself

@Dreamingof3 sending wishes for AF for you so you can start TTC. When do you go on holiday?

Fingers crossed @Summerbreeze111 and @tryingtryinggone

DanceWithYourBalloon · 05/05/2022 16:04

@lj2022 interestingly I don't have a single symptom. I feel utterly normal bar the occasional cramp but that's not unknown for me anyway. 🤷🏻‍♀️

DanceWithYourBalloon · 05/05/2022 15:30

Thanks everyone! I'm glad I'm not imagining seeing a faint line! 😂

DanceWithYourBalloon · 05/05/2022 15:29

@NarnieJoy take care of yourself. I've had two CPs now and it's so disheartening. Definitely not your fault! X

dearhummingbirds · 05/05/2022 15:15

@FourOclock I can imagine that’s very disheartening :( but you’re right not to blame yourself - the body is a fickle thing.

fingers crossed @Summerbreeze111
& @tryingtryinggone !!

@DanceWithYourBalloon When zoomed out I think I miiight be able to see something!?

NarnieJoy · 05/05/2022 15:03

@DanceWithYourBalloon I see it lovely! i bet you can't wait for 10 dpo!

NarnieJoy · 05/05/2022 15:02

@FourOclock I am ok, I feel sad some days. My body was different, my boobs were massive and I was feeling off so I thought maybe they would get darker.
Trying to focus on getting my body so healthy and not blaming myself for it - cause it can be easy to think it might be something I did.

FourOclock · 05/05/2022 14:55

Sorry to hear that @NarnieJoy Sad are you okay?

NarnieJoy · 05/05/2022 14:48

Hey ladies, been so quiet on here - but huge congrats to those who are pregnant, really celebrating everyone as a little miracle.

Took a break because after we have been basically NPNT I had a CP and it's been a bit hard. Took the test on 14&5DPO and it was very faint then my period came. 😓

Dreamingof3 · 05/05/2022 13:40

@DanceWithYourBalloon I see it!!

Summerbreeze111 · 05/05/2022 13:07

@dearhummingbirds I am waiting for my period to arrive, hopefully within the next day or so and then we are going to start trying for the first time!

I have been taking folic acid for 3 months now and also Coq10 and occasionally other vitamins including my parter - fish oil (not fish liver oil), zinc, vitamin c and magnesium!

DanceWithYourBalloon · 05/05/2022 12:56

This is my absolute squinter! 😂
