dollface22 · 20/05/2022 18:06

My 7 year old has just come from school covered in chicken pox ! rang my gp who said In should be fine if exposed if i had as should be fine but arranged a blood test to check my immunity anyway ! A little stressed but jus gettin on with it

Theawkwardblonde · 20/05/2022 17:58

@DesertSnow I never could get the hang of temping when I did it first time around 😂
Those opks are grand. I do find there are a couple of duds in the pack. Fingers crossed you ovulate soon! 🤞🏻

Ladies I don’t know if anyone can give any insight to this..

I am 5/6DPO and have had period pain like cramps for the last 2 days, twinges in my ovaries and an random ache in my thighs every now and again.. it’s making me feel quite worried that something weird is going on. It’s not super painful but definitely making me quite sluggish! It’s giving me a bad feeling :/ what do you think? Could it be implantation or does it sound a bit too intense for that?

I don't know if it helps but I had a general cramping feeling for the week before my BFP, a bit like period cramps with a bit of a stretching feeling going on as well. I'd take it as a good sign!

dearhummingbirds · 20/05/2022 17:34

@Hjudge56 I’m not an expert at all, and not sure what all the signs of implantation are, so maybe it is is that? But are you basing your DPO off of tests or just your average cycle? Just wondering if it’s actually just you ovulating.

DesertSnow · 20/05/2022 17:30

@Alice1608 Fingers crossed for both of us! Absolutely, feel free to private message me also if you like 😊

@Alice1608 absolutely! I don't think I will be pregnant either, as we'll basically only have one shot at it (so to speak) before the wedding. Unless we change our minds and start trying earlier... I was on the pill for years with no break but came off it a year ago to regulate cycles. Unfortunately cycles irregular and some other problems that put odds against us, but all we can do is try! I'm about to turn 31 in a couple of weeks so have a bit of time to investigate issues (at least I hope!). Don't think being 35 should be a problem for you... is it your first you're trying for?

Aww OK fair enough. Well you never know on both our accounts! Would love to stay in touch over our journeys together? Xxx

Brightonbelle87 · 20/05/2022 10:46

Congratulations @dollface22 !

I'm in week 8 and feel absolutely knackered and get a bit nauseous, thankfully nothing severe. I had a bad dose of anxiety at week 5, but it passed so sending you lots of happy thoughts!

Sunshine0987 · 20/05/2022 10:01

Congratulations to everyone on their BFPs recently! It's getting very exciting around here 😊 I've just booked to have my coil removed next month and it's starting to feel a bit more daunting now the time to start trying is nearly here. I am excited and so ready though! Good luck to everyone else still TTC ❤️

DesertSnow · 20/05/2022 08:10

@Alice1608 no way, what are the chances? Ah how exciting, yes wedding buddies for sure! When I got the dress we didn't think we'd be trying till after the wedding but then things changed and here we are.

This is amazing! Shall we see if either of us are pregnant for the wedding and therefore dresses won't fit?!lol 🤣🤷‍♀️ I doubt it will be me as i only just had my implant removed and have been on conception for years abs years with no break. Plus I'm 35 lol so maybe you will?lol xxxx

@Theawkwardblonde ah that's reassuring, those are the ones I've been using. They've not detected ovulation yet and neither has temping - CD22 so hopefully soon...

Theawkwardblonde · 20/05/2022 07:52

@LucyLoopyLu honestly as someone who used opks for 18 months, I wouldn't pay for the clear blue ones. They're expensive and I found they did the same job as the cheap ones. However some people find the clear blue ones easier to read as they have a digital smiley thing to tell you when you're ovulating.

I use the Femometer ovulations sticks from Amazon - they've also seemed bang on duty my cycles. Plus they come with some cheap pregnancy tests too. They come in a box of 50 for about 12 quid.

Alice1608 · 20/05/2022 04:40

LucyLoopyLu · 19/05/2022 22:05

@Cherrymarket that is such a clear line! How do you feel?

Can anyone recommend what brand of OPKs to try? Is it worth shelling out for the clear blue or are the cheap strips just as good?

I was wondering this too! Xxx

Alice1608 · 20/05/2022 04:39

Cherrymarket · 19/05/2022 20:04

@Alice1608 congrats on your engagement!

@Nyxxie thats a great line, congrats!

I took this an hour or so ago, 10dpo. Feeling more reassured as it’s not so faint any more.

Thank you! Xxz

DesertSnow · 19/05/2022 17:54

@Alice1608 the 3rd 😊What about you? I've already got my dress and I don't think there would be much give in it with too much of a bump, but also worried about potential pregnancy symptoms if I was lucky enough to become pregnant quickly...

You see some people getting pregnant just after they have the implant out, so you never know! It's so hard to guess isn't it, as every woman is so different! I find the lack of control I have over the whole thing so challenging.

Omg at Desertsnow! I'm getting married on the 4th!!! We can be.wedding buddies!!! Lol
Yes I have my dress too and there is zero room in it!lol. So I took out now.assuming.i would need time to adjust. However we will see.on that front! Lolxxx
