Bizarre period

Dear all, I have very regular periods between 29-32 days. This month mg period came on day 31 but it doesn't feel like a normal period it feels like the very first/last day of a period and nothing more. Has anyone else experienced this and if so do you know the cause/what happened? Thanks. PS should say that dp and I have been trying to conceive.

Oh no I’m so sorry! I’m counting mine from today but like I said I’m not actively trying so it’s not important for me to be really precise with dates for the next ovulation. Hope you have better luck next month

@Fabpinky not testing period was just a slow burner this morning and it has now fully arrived! Yay!!!!! Don't know when to start counting my cycle now because I feel like Monday was def not that start?!

@Kath2021 I have been taking evening primrose oil tablets and some pre pregnancy tablets. Might be making a difference but don't think so do you?

I have had the same this month. The timing was about right for a period but super light and only when wiping so no flow. Started brown too which never happens for me. The only thing that made me think it must be a period is that there was the odd clot. It ended quite suddenly too. And zero cramps which is crazy for me I usually really suffer.

I am working away so will test when I get back but I'm like you - not holding much hope. Have you changed what supplements or meds you are taking this month if any? My only difference is increased metformin and taking baby aspirin so wondering if that's had something to do with it?

I’m not going to test as I woke up with a lot more blood than the last few days and cramps. (I don’t
mind so no sympathy needed!) how are you getting on?

I'd probably have to test if I was you just to make sure, I can completely understand not wanting to yet though

At the time no, we'd been trying, stressing, religiously testing every month for a year so we had decided to stop worrying and just relax a little. Amazingly we conceived that month but I never found out until I was almost 9 weeks and never thought anything of the odd bleed because my periods were always a bit unpredictable anyway. I don’t generally get too many symptoms in the lead up to my period so it’s hard to say but I have had a few things I would usually put down as period symptoms. Have you? I’m half convinced my cycle is just extending as my period was 5 days late last month, but no spotting that time. It’s all very confusing! I may do a test tomorrow to put my mind at ease as it’s all I can think about

I’m sorry, it must be tough. I know I’ve resisted doing them before because I wanted to live in the limbo of hope that my period wouldn’t come and a test would burst my bubble.

@Fabpinky I don't know. I've been trying for quite a while now so don't hold much hope anymore. I hate being disappointed. It's a tough one

If I don’t get what I would consider a proper period by maybe Monday I’ll do a test. Will you do one?

I’d take a test, I had heavy spotting with all my pregnancies around the time my period was due.

This happened to me when I fell pregnant with DD, my periods were all over the place so I just assumed it was that, next month I never got a period at all and found out I what I thought was a period the month before was actually implantation bleeding.

Not actively trying to conceive but would be pleased if we did. I put a tampon in this morning because I thought surely this is just my period now but when I removed it I could see it hadn’t been needed. Good luck to you too!
