Thats is excellent news well done you

NoNickname · 28/01/2008 14:40

Congratulations SILLIAMPT! Have been watching this thread since the beginning and am very pleased for you.

If you are measuring 6+3, but should be more like 8w based on your last period, it prob just means that you ovulated a week and a half after you "should" have done.

I make the due date 19th Sep - but I may be wrong.

soitlookslikeiampregthen · 28/01/2008 12:51

Hi just back from the hosp

and there is a heartbeat!!!

I am measuring 6 weeks and 3 days so very early days am allllllll confused and they were too busy to talk me through it but my last period start date was nov 27th so I though I should be 8 weeks ish? (can anyone smart explain when my due date approx might be then sorry being dim )

anyway I am so pleased and relieved!

Roca · 28/01/2008 00:28

no way - can't believe this is still going on for you!

After 4 weeks of bleeding after my m/c I finally stopped a couple days ago so hope that it that and I have my body back now. Now it's just the wait until I feel I am ovulating to try again. But at least I can finally practice again now!

Let us know how you get on - really hoping all is well for you.

x

WingsofanAngel · 27/01/2008 19:36

FoghornLeghorn · 17/01/2008 09:09

Congrats SLLIAMPT

Fingers crossed for your nest scan - one step at a time.

soitlookslikeiampregthen · 17/01/2008 09:07

Hi xx

no I was sursprised they didnt take any more bloods and also they gave me no indication of how preg I am either - they just said early on so Im not sure! I should be seven weeks preg but am def not!xx

WingsofanAngel · 16/01/2008 13:51

Fingers crossed for 10 days time.

Did you have any more blood taken.

Did they give any indication on how far on you might be.

soitlookslikeiampregthen · 16/01/2008 13:45

hi all just to let you know

I have been for the scan

I got a senior sonographer and also it was a inside scan (transvaginal is it?)

I have had a couple more wee wipes of blood so when she wouldnt see anything for what felt like forever i was holding my breathe

Then she said she could see a minute minute sac

no foetal matter in it yet but a sac

so i have to go back in ten days on mon28th at 10.30 for a repeat scan!

Jackstini · 14/01/2008 22:57

HCG levels sound good then. Based on average levels for dates (and women really do vary!) this puts you at 5 weeks ish so they should be able to see something on a scan within a week or so.
Will be waiting for news... (no pressure! )

susiecutiemincepies · 14/01/2008 17:12

well its a positive sign that the levels are rising still, so looking good on that front.

791 would still put you in week 5 of pregnancy. 21 days or so, after ovulation.

Good luck with the next tests, and dont be daft about us hanging around here! We are all here to support you silly bear! Good luck, and please LET US KNOW!!! if you can that is.

Of course you dont HAVE to...

soitlookslikeiampregthen · 14/01/2008 16:00

ps, the dates I have are def right my last period started nov 29th no idea when I ovulated tho must have been very late on in my cycle it isnt regular per say?

I had 791 hcg levels on sun am

can anyone tell me how preg I am maybe not from last date of period but conception maybe or either??
I am all confused

I just cannot work out dates at the best of times let alone due to late ovulation !

soitlookslikeiampregthen · 14/01/2008 15:49

Hi all i am so touched you are all still here i was going to let this thread die gracelfully but bless you for enquiring

thank you also for ALL your encouraginf stories wow they give me hope

basically i had to go back in on sun for bloods to the hosp (not another scan)

I bled again a big red wipe and have had strange cramps etc on sat night so was a bit freaked out but havent bled since

results got phoned to me just a while ago and they were 791 so almost double the 417 in a 48 hr period

I have to go back for more bloods tomorrow and the ultrasound lady said after levels of 1000 they often see soething in the womb

I dont think they are scanning me tomorrow though

I am up and down like a toliet seat at a mixed party (as my old mum says)

One min I think Im fine the next I know im not and i have been souting at my eldest, my tolerance for his poor behavious is def lower (poor child he is only gone 4 but is very stroppy)

Thats about it really, I shall keep you updated Ill get the results tomorrow afternoon hopefully of tomorrows blood tests

It feels surreal going hrough all of this and no real life family/friends know etc

Thank you for your support

FoghornLeghorn · 14/01/2008 13:54

Is there any update SAIP ?

Jackstini · 14/01/2008 09:45

Sorry - should read blood test

Jackstini · 14/01/2008 09:45

Let us know if you get another test today soami - hopefully your levels will give more of an indication

hellymelly · 14/01/2008 01:15

all sounds just like my last preg, the very faint test lines, the spotting, the scan showing sac but too small to see if it was viable, the twinges, baba now a fat eight monther. My GP freaked me out with talk of ectopics, blighted ovum etc but it must have been just implantation bleeding and the scan two weeks after the one which showed nothing much was clear with heartbeat etc.congratulations to you! It is a wringer emotionally,I was trying but got pregnant first go,literally, and that was a shock at 42,still breast feeding no.1,and then the am I aren't i thing,I know just how you feel, aside from the three under five bit! Good luck

susiecutiemincepies · 13/01/2008 23:37

Well, the figure 417 in itself is not that important, but, by looking on that chart, it would indicate that you are 4-5weeks pregnant, as your HCG levels fall within that range.
This would also concur with the possibility of your ovulating late, and therefor the initial tests being inconsistent. i.e. the levels of HCG in your urine have just not been strong enough each time you've tested.

The hospital need to test your blood again , to see if the levels of HCG are actually going up. They ought to be rising with every day, if you are pregnant. This is the important bit, rather than the amount you have in your blood.

I had what i'd describe as a light period just before i found out i was pg. hence not knowing i was pg. I then missed a period the next time it was due, and ended up having a dating scan which dated the preg as 2 weeks before the original 'light period' I also had horrible pains, just like period pains until i was about 20 weeks I think... I was told all the time it was the ligaments stretching and was normal. At 8 weeks, i had an odd orangy discharge, was told this is due to a surge of hormones at 8-9 weeks and is also normal.... ended up with more bleeding and had another scan to check and found a large clot on the placenta which bled on and off for a while. was all fine though. just keep getting yourself checked out is all I can suggest.

what alot of worry we go through for 40 odd weeks hey??

Good luck, do keep us updated if you can, i'm following this thread closely! I hope its all ok for you...

Hope some of what i've put at the top of my post helps a bit.... and hasnt confused you more!

prettybird · 13/01/2008 23:12

Have you been back to get our bloods taken again today? It's not just the one test that matters - it's the two tow days apart to see if they are doubling that will indicate whether or not you are (still) pregnant.
