CD1 here, starting a new thread for those who are hoping to get a BFP in May for a January/February baby 🥰

This is my cycle 3 trying for #2. I've got an 18mo old son.

Hi @Skylark1990 , my dd is 21 months. Sorry about your losses, too. I'm hoping that by breastfeeding once or twice a day I'm not limiting my chances of success. I'm ovulating, so should be ok I think? Sounds like a lot of us on this thread are due some good luck sooner or later.
Hi @LemonZestDribbles Thank you and wishing you lots of luck!
I told myself this morning that I was going to start eating healthier to try to encourage things along, but I've just caved and eaten crisps. Whoops!

Organictangerine · 22/04/2022 15:57

DD has just had her chicken pox jab and she’s to stay away from pregnant women for a few weeks. I’m guessing that means we can’t try this month? Plus I’m still testing positive for covid 😢probably best to delay until next cycle…

Skylark1990 · 22/04/2022 15:30

Thanks @LemonZestDribbles it has definitely been hard, but just trying to focus on the positives and hope that it doesn't happen again - so easy to feel worried though! Yes it's funny how sometimes it happens when we aren't really 'trying' - last month we almost didn't try, but did (although not hugely haha) and I did get pregnant, though ofc it ended in mc. I'm in two minds atm honestly about continuing to 'try' or to take a break. I guess I'll decide closer to ovulation! x

ThePodParent · 22/04/2022 15:14

Afternoon all 😊

I’m joining you in hoping for a May BFP - expecting AF around May 1st/2nd and then we’ll begin TTC #2, hoping for a BFP around the end of May.

I was on the January BFP group, conceived, went for a private scan at 10 weeks and found that it was an anembryonic pregnancy (/blighted ovum). Hopefully that’s my ‘1 in 4’ out of the way and we have better luck over the next few months!

Baby dust to all! 🌟

LemonZestDribbles · 22/04/2022 10:46

@Skylark1990 that is such a rough journey for your second. I can't even imagine the turmoil you must have been through ❤ just need that third sticky bean 🤞 first time it took us until the 7th cycle. Funnily enough it was the month we both had had enough and did the bare minimum. It's funny how it happens.

@SearchingTheSkies welcome! Sorry about your previous mcs. Fingers crossed it doesn't take as long this time

Harriet669 · 22/04/2022 10:25

@Alicew00 I'm the same as you, all negative so far! Has one ever so slightly darker CD 9 but was still very much a negative!
Think I'll try twice a day too! Haven't noticed any changes to CM either but did have one day with a slight dip in temperature

Skylark1990 · 22/04/2022 09:43

@SearchingTheSkies hello and welcome! I am still breastfeeding my 19mo and TTC no 2 as well 🙂 sorry to hear it took so long to conceive your first and that you had two losses. I've had two early MC since trying to conceive no two, we started TTC in Dec 21 - it's so hard.

Hope it's quicker this time for you ❤️
How old is your first child? X

SearchingTheSkies · 22/04/2022 09:24

Hope it's ok for me to join you all. TTC dc2. It's cycle 3 for me, but it took 18 months to conceive dc1 (with 2 mcs along the way) so expecting it to take a while. Still breastfeeding, late 30s and have a short luteal phase, just for added fun 🤪. Currently in fw so will give it our best shot. Good luck to everyone!

Skylark1990 · 22/04/2022 09:22

Also @Alicew00 sometimes the peak is very short so can be missed. Hence testing twice a day can help find it! With the cheap tests of course!

@LemonZestDribbles quite cool we are back around same time again for no 2 indeed! ☺️ This is our 6th cycle I think, within that I've been pregnant twice and had two early losses, so wayyyyy more of a rollercoaster than with our DD, she was conceived straight away on the first try. Fingers crossed it's quick for you! How long did it take to conceive your first? Xx

LemonZestDribbles · 22/04/2022 08:46

@thebloodycatwontstopmeowing I can see something but I'm not sure if I have line eyes for you 🤞 I agree with @Skylark1990 could you order some FRER tests?

@Alicew00 again agreeing with @Skylark1990 to test a couple of times a day. I'd just dtd every second day or something too. Just incase

Looks like AF is going for me. Staying at my parents house until tomorrow then I'll start opks 🤞

Skylark1990 · 22/04/2022 08:34

@thebloodycatwontstopmeowing in the last pic I can see a hint of a line! Maybe try a FRER?!

@Alicew00 it may be you are ovulating later than expected. I would try doing the tests twice a day, once with FMU when you wake up and then again in afternoon evening, but be careful not to drink to much water for a few hours beforehand. Lh rises during the day so often more concentrated in evening.

Alicew00 · 22/04/2022 08:10

If I'm supposed to be ovulating since Wednesday but the ovulation tests are negative is this normal?
I used a couple of cheap tests.

@thebloodycatwontstopmeowing it's positive that they've come back clear but it's understandable that knowing something was wrong would be easier than things just not happening. Still in with a chance until af though x

@Skylark1990 it's funny to think we were both around then and now! This will be my first month officially trying again. Wbu?

Seeing the end of af now 🥳🥳🥳

@Skylark1990 bbt had me thinking I may have ovulated before but had negative opks, however today I had a rise in the morning and just had a positive opk!

Hoping for BFP in May

Thank you SO much ladies for your kind words. You’ve honestly made me feel so much better and given me hope that I still have a chance! I was even thinking that yesterday I really had bad cramping on and off and very tender nipples so may be that implantation could have even happened yesterday! I know the blood 7DPO doesn’t add up if so but god knows what’s going on in our bodies !! 🤣

will keep you updated ❤️

Skylark1990 · 21/04/2022 15:23

@thebloodycatwontstopmeowing I'm sorry if me asking about whether you have an inkling came across insensitive - I just realised maybe it would have! Of course it's natural to also have no idea, and like you say, feel like we are trying everything and ultimately it's just 'one of those things' - TTC seems to be completely random. I only asked because for me I feel like maybe it is to do with low progesterone as I'm still breastfeeding, or being rundown etc as I've had some health problems recently. But of course it's impossible to know. Glad both our GPs sound like they are being helpful with investigations! xx

Skylark1990 · 21/04/2022 14:21

@thebloodycatwontstopmeowing It's so hard, and 12 months is a long time - you are so entitled to be feeling sad. I have felt very sad too the last few days (started to miscarry on Sunday so all very fresh) and worrying it'll affect these special early years with my DD if I am constantly sad or worrying about TTC. But it's so natural so we can't beat ourselves up about it. I'm going to try to focus on doing things I enjoy for the next month or so, eating well & taking my vitamins... oh and cutting coffee haha. Do you have any inkling/gut instinct about what could be causing you to not conceive? Sometimes we can kind of 'know' even before the tests. I am going to ask for a full blood count test too I think, GP has been helpful and is giving me the various hormone tests as I've had two mc now, but think some others can be useful such as iron, vitamin d and b12.

@LemonZestDribbles aww lovely, I was on a due in Sep and due in Aug board as my baby was due end Aug/early Sep depending on my dates/scan dates. We shifted to FB quite early on though so didn't really keep the mumsnet ones going. How long have you been trying for no 2? Hope we both get bfps this month!

16 May also my next period due date... does feel like ages, I agree!

@salia12345678910 could you possibly have ovulated earlier than you thought? xx
