Hi all! I'm currently 1dpo.. so officially in the last stage of this cycle! I should be due AF around April 19th, which happens to be my birthday! So I'm going to try really hard not to test until then. Anyone else around the same?!

@ArcEnCiel2022 Yes, it was a few sharp stabbing pains, kind of like how it feels when you get a jab, could feel exactly where it was, it wasn't like an all over cramp if you know what I mean! It was very brief, felt absolutely fine after but I was walking my dog at the time and it made me stop in my tracks as it actually quite hurt!! Two days later BFP 😊 I tested at 9DPO so that would have happened 7DPO.

I know, everyday is just dragging!
5DPO today.. I really had forgotten how hard these TWW are, I'm only on cycle 1 and it's already driving me insane 😅

Hey @MrsGrealish yes I am! Although this is the only thread I'm particularly active on 😊 Of course you can join us! How you feeling so far? What cycle is this for you? Is it baby #1 for you? Sorry millions of questions 🤣

MrsGrealish · 07/04/2022 23:38

Hi ladies, is it ok if I join? 3dpo and need a safe place to drive myself crazy. I recognise a couple of names @Graceybaby are u in the December thread?

ArcEnCiel2022 · 07/04/2022 23:22

Thanks both for the suggestions about the drinks, that's good ideas!
@Graceybaby I'm getting pinching pains too!
But yes it's too early for implantation... You said you have felt implantation with previous pregnancy? How was that? Was it just a brief moment or did it last a bit?

Every day when I wake up my first thought is "one day closer to testing" 😂

Graceybaby · 07/04/2022 19:39

@GoT1904 it's very unlikely! I've just written it off as me just overthinking things! 🙈

Yeah they really can. Glad we have a nice little supportive group 💓

Roll on 5DPO tomorrow.. the sooner this TWW wait is over the better 🙈😅

GoT1904 · 07/04/2022 19:23

Aww @ArcEnCiel2022 have such a nice time! Just pour yourself a spritzer?! Less wine, more lemonade lol. If its white wine they won't know how much is (or isn't) in the glass ;)

@Graceybaby ooo I hope it is implantation related though! Is it impossible at 4dpo or just really unlikely? I've no symptoms apart from tender nips, which is just from me coming off the pill lol.

Yea I do get cross at some of the chats on here. I don't mind the test eyes ones lol. I've found that people can be really judgemental and quite horrid to each other. I was going through the active threads earlier, and whilst I saw the different points of view, the nastiness is just unwarranted imo. Xxx

@ArcEnCiel2022 That sounds like a lovely weekend 😊 Maybe get some non alcoholic wine and see if anyone notices. 🤣 I am missing my wine.. I'm the same I do like a glass or two at the weekend or when we go out for dinner... I wasn't a big drinker when I was TTC my son.. suddenly I like a glass or two, maybe that's what kids do to you 😅🤣🤣

Side note - Anyone else get really frustrated with some of the stupid threads on Mumsnet? I can't stand the 'is this positive?' posts when there's two blazing pink lines!.. I mean if you can't tell that's positive you really shouldn't be having a child!

Another side note - I just kept getting pinching pains! Very much like how I felt when I felt my implantation the first time! I'm only 4DPO so it's impossible 🤦🏼‍♀️ Why does our body torture us 😅

ArcEnCiel2022 · 07/04/2022 17:51

@Graceybaby I never drink big quantities, but I have to admit I like a glass of wine with my meal the weekend, or a beer in the sun... I try to avoid during the TWW, but tonight we have some friends coming and they will stay with us until Tuesday, so I don't know how I will manage to avoid drinking as I'm sure they will assume I'm pregnant if they see me with soft drinks all the time, and I really don't want them to think that! I will have to find some tricks 😅 But it will be good to have them, it will give me some distraction to don't get obsessed!

Graceybaby · 07/04/2022 16:01

@GoT1904 Oo bless him. Highschool is so hard, socially its even harder now with modern technology etc.. I feel for him. I hope his dad sees sense and just supports him rather then making it harder.

The lack of sleep is the worst.. I can't say I'm looking forward to that bit! My son was such a good sleeper too which makes me think surely I won't get that lucky twice! 😂

He sleeps great most of the time still now unless his ill, his had abit of a cold lately and has had a few bad nights.. But my OH is so supportive, he helps as much as he can with my LO and often takes him out for a few hours so I can get some rest if I haven't slept well. I'm very lucky ❤️

Went for a work lunch today and all my colleagues love a glass a wine.. hate how awkward I feel trying to make an excuse to not have even a small glass! I don't like to drink whilst TTC but I always treat myself to a glass when AF makes an appearance 🙈😅

GoT1904 · 07/04/2022 15:42

@ArcEnCiel2022 aw that's super sweet of you! Thank you. I think DP wants everything to be just right, but there is always one thing or another that pops up. I'm confident we could deal with anything really.

@Graceybaby he's 13 in June! He's finding high school hard. Academically he's great, but socially not so much. He dislikes change, so to me it's obvious that moving him house and away from me and his sisters would distress him further.. in addition to moving school. But hey ho. We will see what happens.

Aw bless you, has your LO been keeping you up?? I'm so nervous about the lack of sleep my future may hold haha xx

@GoT1904 I would be due Christmas Eve! I absolutely love Christmas time, I'd be most concerned about missing Christmas dinner!! 🤣

Sorry to hear about your son, sounds like a tricky situation and I know how it feels having a child from a previous relationship and juggling joint parenting. Me and my son's dad don't always see eye to eye, his very stubborn and it can be so hard sometimes. Surely uprooting him would be the last thing he needs right now. I hope you and your DP can talk it through and ease your mind 😘

I am feeling exhausted this afternoon, few nights of crap sleep have caught up with me. I have also stocked up, just bought some clear blue normal tests and one Digi. Will only use these if anything happens on my cheapie tests tho!.. Hope it does happen soon or I might just go bankrupt 🤣

ArcEnCiel2022 · 07/04/2022 15:04

@GoT1904 yes my due date would be Christmas Eve or Christmas day 😊

Aw I'm so sorry to read about your son, how old is he? I hope everything will get better. And I really hope that your DP won't want to hold of TTC if that's not what you want 😔 I actually really hope that you're already pregnant! 😉
Sending you love, and I hope your conversation with your DP will go well.

GoT1904 · 07/04/2022 14:44

@ArcEnCiel2022 aw I'm glad you feel as though you have hope. Hope is so important. Its kept me going through the darkest times ever. Eeeee so would we be due around the same time??

I managed to not waste a FRER! But it took some restraint.

I'm feeling a little deflated right now. My son, who has ASC, had an awful incident happen to him at school a few months ago. His dad (who I am civil with, but who I do not respect as a parent), jumped in on this and tried to push my boy to go and move with him 40 mins away. It was a very stressful time as his dad was calling me several times a day and pressuring my son to make a decision re: moving. Thankfully my son agreed to give his school another shot and it's done him the world of good being around his friends. He was just back on a part timetable, gradually increasing his time there. My DP wanted to wait to try until DS was settled, which Thankfully happened. However today was his first day back doing lunchtimes again, it was lunch he was afraid of as socially he just struggles to relate to things. It's not gone well like I'd hoped :( so now I'm preparing for DP to want to hold of TTC. It might be right, it might be wrong, but I don't want to. My boy is going to have autism for life and probably have more challenges than other children, but we always deal with them. DP is due home from work shortly so I guess I'll see how it goes. But once DS's dad gets a sniff that he's had a bad day, he will try to uproot him once again I'm sure. Nightmare! It had been going so well up until this point. Xx

@GoT1904 thank you 💞 yes it has been a really difficult time... I'm only starting now to feel better about it, to accept what happened, and have hope again. This cycle I feel quite hopeful, I know we have done what we should in the fertile window, I also feel more relaxed about everything, and I want to see the due date in Christmas as a sign! But I'm also trying to get ready for another deception in case that's still not for this month!
Haha yes don't waste your FRER yet! I've been tempted this morning to use one of my cheap tests, but I didn't hopefully 😂

GoT1904 · 07/04/2022 14:10

@ArcEnCiel2022 Aw I'm so sorry for your losses. 11 weeks too :( I bet this has been such a journey for you. I hope you get your BFP this month with a sticky bean.

My FRER arrived today and I instinctively wanted to take one haha. I didn't though! I've stashed them. My app says if I conceive this cycle my EDD would be Christmas day haha. When I told DP this he got really excited and says he hopes its happened lol. Xxxx

@Graceybaby same for my search history 🤣 yesterday I was googling something like "which ovary releases better eggs for pregnancy". I was just curious to know if it could be something, because both times I've been pregnant the egg was from my right ovary, and the 3 last cycles I ovulated from the left, and got a bfn. And also when I had a scan in December they told me that my right ovary was bigger than the left. And the answer I found yesterday is that it seems you have more chance to get pregnant from the right side indeed. This cycle I have ovulated from the right side, so I'm feeling a bit more hopeful now 😂

I'd be interested as well to know if a silent thermometer exists!

@GoT1904 I've not been TTC for really long, we started last summer and I got pregnant straight away, then miscarriage at 7 weeks in September. Pregnant again end of October, and miscarriage at 11 weeks on Christmas day... So I know I can be pregnant, and that there is no reason why I won't be again, but a bit worried that I might have bad eggs quality or something like that, causing the miscarriages, and that it could be due to my age.
I'm tracking ovulation with cheap opk, but DP doesn't know, and I don't tell him when I ovulate (I'm just really nice to him around that time 😂). I like to feel in control and know my cycle but I completely understand his view to keep the fun and not feeling the pressure

GoT1904 · 07/04/2022 10:34

@GeraniumCedarwood my search history too! Hahaha. My CM is creamy atm, which can come after ovulation I've read.

Youre right with the way the world is atm. And I guess it is selfish of us, but I also know I want it, and I wanna live my life how I want to for as long as I'm able to.

Aw @ArcEnCiel2022, you will get your BFP! How long have you been TTC? I would track ovulation too lol. My DP isn't mega keen on it. I don't think he'd mind as such, just he wants our BD'ing to be no pressure and natural, which I understand.

3dpo today. :D first testing in a week. I'm SO impatient!!!! Xx

@GoT1904 Bless, sounds like you have your hands full! I think boys (and men for that matter) always need a lot of guidance! My OH is like having a child honestly.. the two of them together is like having a house full of kids! haha

@GeraniumCedarwood I take 500mg of vitamin C, I just take the dispersible ones from Tesco, they are 1000mg I believe so I just half it. I took the full 1000mg when I conceived my son though so It cant hurt! I also take 50mg of B6 along side my pregnecare vitamins, I wouldn't take anymore then that as I think higher doses can delay ovulation 'apparently' !

Oh god, my search history would make for an interesting read for sure! If my OH saw my phone history he'd think I'd lost it!

@ArcEnCiel2022 It's definitely not too late!! You have just as much chance as the rest of us here..

Yeah the lovely sound of the thermometer beeping in the morning is not a nice wake up call!! haha

On that note what thermometer do people use? does anyone know of a silent once? haha

x

ArcEnCiel2022 · 07/04/2022 09:29

@GoT1904 I've read that post too! I think when I was 30 I was not ready at all (and also I was with the wrong partner!). Now I'm 37, and I'm more than ready, I know it will change my life, but it's what I want at this stage of my life. But now worried that I waited too long and it might never happen 😔 but well, it has never been a good moment before for many reasons.

I don't track bbt, I think I would if I didn't have to do it while still in bed, because I don't want DP to know I'm tracking ovulation 😂
I never have sensitive boobs (the only times were when I was pregnant, but it started after the TWW), and I don't have much CM either at the moment...

GeraniumCedarwood · 07/04/2022 09:25

@Graceybaby, thanks for the comfort and reassurance. Do you know what sort of dose you were taking? This month I switched to procieve vitamins which already contain 150mg of C and 10mg of B6 which is above the RDA for both. I have also been eating a lot of citrus fruit and mango.

@GoT1904 yes, the CM can be very annoying. I keep googling different stages to try and learn what might be happening and comparing mine to images I find, which is probably leading to a very strange internet search history!

I also read the post about being unsure whether to have kids. This would be my first one. I used to think I always wanted them certainly, but as I've got older (now 32) I do sometimes question like that OP. I also feel like as a world we are still all but traumatised and grieving the pandemic etc. I wonder if that's making decision making extra challenging.

GoT1904 · 07/04/2022 09:11

@Graceybaby I'm like that too with CM!! It's crazy. I've realised that I didn't get a whole lot of it on the pill.

Yeah it's daunting isn't it. I think I'd feel my family was complete if it weren't for wanting a child with DP. I am excited about it but scared. It will be worth it! I'm going to have my hands full though lol. DS is on the autistic spectrum and DP has ADHD so they both require a fair bit of guidance lol.

Graceybaby · 07/04/2022 08:45

@GeraniumCedarwood I used to track my BBT when I was TTC my son but decided not to this time round as I found it quite stressful! But try not to feel too disheartened, it may just be a dip and will rise again tomorrow, so many factors can change the temp even slightly!

I only have a relatively short LP too, last time I was TTC it was 10 days and when I started taking a high dose of vitamin C and B6 it increased to 11 then the following month I got my BFP. It will be interesting to what it will be this month post pill.

@GoT1904 I'm 4DPO today, I say I'm going to test Tuesday (9DPO) but I know full well I'll test on Monday because I wont be able to help myself! haha

Boobs are still tender and getting lots of CM still which is annoying, keep getting that 'wet' feeling then thinking Omg please don't tell me I'm bleeding already :( Freaks me out every time.

I saw that post too! I'm in a similar boat, my sons 5 and has just got to that 'slightly easier' to manage stage, he also started school in September which definitely takes the strain off. And I know exactly what you mean, going back to square one is so daunting - I went back and forth about having another baby for quite a while. I think for me because I'm with my new partner now there was more of a reason too, he has no previous children and his so good with my son, I wanted to give him his first child and we both want to extend our family with one of our own. I just had to be brutally honest with myself and know that this is not going to easy at all, it will be hard and I have no doubt there will be tears and pure exhaustion but in the end it will be worth it :)

GoT1904 · 07/04/2022 07:52

@GraceyBaby I agree!! How many dpo are you now?! I am just 3 lol... testing a week today.

How's everyone doing?? I've just read a post by someone unsure when to have kids, and people posting basically the pros and cons.. and it's worried me haha. Which is silly I know as I have them already. But my youngest is 6 now and they're all so easy to manage, unlike some babies, lol. It makes me so nervous sometimes! Xx

OP posts:
GeraniumCedarwood · 07/04/2022 07:42

@Graceybaby I know it's a horrible waiting game isn't it. My BBT went down this morning, which feels really disheartening for 3DPO.

This time last month my boobs were so sensitive, and this month I feel nothing so I bit worried about my progesterone levels. I just hope that feeling different at this stage will mean my luteal phase is longer than last month (only 8 days!)

Graceybaby · 06/04/2022 19:56

This early stage is horrendous.. too early for symptoms too early for implantation... literally just a waiting game!

Really trying to just not think about it and distract myself but it's impossible!

GoT1904 · 06/04/2022 18:13

Welcome! My friend actually got a squinter on a cheapie today so we are hoping it's the real deal! Exciting.

I'm gonna test on 10dpo first. So 8 days for me :D I'm already driving myself mad this TWW. At least tomorrow its only a week until I can test lol. Xx
