Hi all! I'm currently 1dpo.. so officially in the last stage of this cycle! I should be due AF around April 19th, which happens to be my birthday! So I'm going to try really hard not to test until then. Anyone else around the same?!

@Rosegold3112 it could definitely be implantation spotting. I personally have light cramping and spotting during early pregnancy but it's also different for everyone. Sorry I'm not being much help. Have you had any pregnancy losses recently? Sorry it's a sensitive question but the only time I've had unexplained spotting, other than implantation, was after MC when my body was regulating itself again. How long has the spotting been going on for? Is it just when you wipe? If it stops again soon it could well be implantation bleeding. 🤞🏻 for you 🌈

Rosegold3112 · 10/04/2022 23:39

@Sarahmayo haha I know there doesn't seem to be a limit to what comes up in ttc topics 😂😂 but just seemed rude to blast it at you all. I'm hopeful it's implantation spotting. I had spotting at 8dpo when I fell pregnant with my DD but as far as I recall it wasn't accompanied by cramps and I've been cramping on and off for the past few days. I'm also discouraged cos I've been spotting the past few months but not more than 5 days before af and I really thought I'd tracked my ovulation better this month. I was going to put off testing until at least weds

@MrsGrealish 🤞🏻🌈 for you too. I have been testing since 6DPO, stupid I know, I know I won't get a positive but just can't help myself 🙈

Sarahmayo · 10/04/2022 23:26

@ArcEnCiel2022 & @PositivelyPrehistoricMom
Thank you hoping for you too, Christmas babies 🎄
Hey
@Rosegold3112 could be implantation spotting would fit in with 7 DPO. I don't mind pictures, I'm sure no one will object, we've all seen it ourselves so why not if you would like too 😊

ArcEnCiel2022 · 10/04/2022 23:00

@PositivelyPrehistoricMom Welcome! I don't have any advice but I'm 37, almost 38, and trying for my first (had 2 miscarriages last year), so it's nice for me to hear you had your first at 38! I hope you will get your bfp soon.

@GoT1904 yes I will update you! At the moment I've decided to wait Tuesday, but who knows if I won't change my mind tomorrow morning 😂

@Sarahmayo the rainbow on your nail is really nice 😊 fingers crossed for you with all these good signs!

@T4Opal good luck for your test on Tuesday, I also had indents on frer two months ago...

Rosegold3112 · 10/04/2022 22:57

Hi ladies! I got some spotting this eve after going to the loo. I have been cramping the past few days and feeling like af is coming but I thought i was only 7dpo today. There is a chance I've miscalculated but all the signs seemed to be there that I ovulated on cd 18 (currently cd25). I did have spotting a few days before my last period so now I'm worried it's the start of af but she's showing signs ridiculously early. What's everyone's opinions? I can attach a pic but don't want to put anyone off their dinner 😂

PositivelyPrehistoricMom · 10/04/2022 22:51

@GoT1904 thank you! I’ve been tracking my cycles for about three years - definitely a good months before my last pregnancy in 2019 as we BD on my OD that I was tracking and got caught. We’ve just not had any luck since. Also I felt pretty traumatised after the m/c and I didn’t want to try for quite a long time. My cycles are weird tho. One month it’s 25 days and I have a 2 or 3 day period and the next will be 29 days with a seven day period but I keep tracking and hoping the fertile period I’m given is accurate enough so we BD every other day just before my fertile period. We’ll see anyway!

@Sarahmayo I’m keeping everything crossed for your BFP. I’ve calculated if I am pregnant then my due date would be 22nd Dec! Keeping hope in all that we do xx

GoT1904 · 10/04/2022 22:41

Omg @MrsGrealish.. he will think he knows why you couldn't wait for the parcel hahahahaha

Hey @Graceybaby :) you're definitely still in with a chance. I think just coming off the pill had thrown us some curveball symptoms hasn't it!

@ArcEnCiel2022 please update us if you test :D

Welcome @PositivelyPrehistoricMom I do so hope you get your BFP. one of my good friends had her DS at 41 and she actually sailed through it. How long have you been tracking your cycles? I don't have any advice as for being older, however I can relate to being overly anxious and I'm around anytime you need to talk. I worry about anything and everything ever. I've also been nauseated and it's my anxiety I'm pretty sure. Xxx

@PositivelyPrehistoricMom there's always hope and it's much more common these days. Having regular cycles is always a good sign. I have painted a rainbow on my nails, I've got real hope this month. My ovulation day was on my birthday and if I did get a BFP my due date would be Christmas Day! Got to keep hope always 🤞🏻🌈

MrsGrealish · 10/04/2022 22:30

@PositivelyPrehistoricMom I'll be 40 next month so basically not much difference..take the test!! and also welcome xx

@Graceybaby good luck with testing tomorrow xx

PositivelyPrehistoricMom · 10/04/2022 22:22

Thank you @Sarahmayo sometimes is easy to be super negative with all the odds against older mums. Fingers crossed for this month and we’ll just have to see. Good news is I’m pretty regular every month so I know I’m a bit away from the menopause even though I’m closer to it in age terms 😂 so there is always hope xx

Sarahmayo · 10/04/2022 22:17

@PositivelyPrehistoricMom wishing you lots of hope for BFP. I know how you feel, I'm 40 and had a MC in December, not giving up hope 🌈
I have a friend who had her babies at 43 and 46 and my cousin had her little boy at 43 so it is possible. 🤞🏻 for you and everyone in the group for BFPs this month and if not this month very soon 😘

T4Opal · 10/04/2022 21:59

Argh my boobs are super hot, like radiating through my pyjama t-shirt. I’ve decided I’m going to do a frer on Tuesday morning although I did get an indent on that 2 months ago which was disappointing. I’ll be at least 8dpo then and that’s the day I got my positive last pregnancy. Also still got random twinges coming and going on both sides of my womb?!

PositivelyPrehistoricMom · 10/04/2022 19:42

Hello, new to mumsnet. I’m 43, 44 in June and I have a gorgeous 5 year old but as you’ve probably realised, I was considered a geriatric mum at 38 with her so now I’m positively prehistoric! We had a miscarriage in Dec 2019 at a few days shy of the 12 week milestone and we’ve been unsuccessful really since. I’ve been tracking my cycle regularly now since then and I have a funny cycle, sometimes I’m 25 days sometimes more like 29 or 30 but I’ve come to recognise symptoms and tried to work around them. We baby dance when we can (hard with a child that isn’t keen on staying in her own bed!) and I’m now in my 2 week wait. Aunt Flo due on Wednesday but even if she doesn’t make an appearance it might be a longer cycle for me. It’s so difficult as I’m DESPERATE to take a test but also pretty scared at the results either way. I’d be sad if it wasn’t positive but I’d be a mess if it was given the last time I was pregnant. I know I'm pretty old now and all the odds are stacked against me but I’m just not finished giving up trying. I want a second baby so much, do feel nauseous at moments throughout the days (as I did with my daughter) but I also get like that when I’m anxious so trying SO HARD to not read into “symptoms”! Any advice for an over 40 over anxious person?!! Thank you

ArcEnCiel2022 · 10/04/2022 18:50

@Graceybaby about the cramps I have, I don't read anything in them because 2 cycles ago I had something similar, and then bfn. Last cycle no cramps, and bfn. So at least for me I don't think they mean anything... No other symptom at the moment for me. Good luck for your test tomorrow morning! I haven't decided yet if I'll test too or wait one or two days more...

@GeraniumCedarwood my understanding is that at this stage a glass of alcohol shouldn'tt do anything... I try to avoid if I can, but it's difficult to act 2 weeks per month like if you were pregnant!

Graceybaby · 10/04/2022 18:32

Hey ladies!

Hope you've all had lovely weekends, just having 5 minutes to myself so thought I'd check in!

Sounds like some of you have had the same cramps as me! Literally the last few days I've had the worst lower back pain along with on and off mild cramps. I'm thinking maybe it's because it's my first cycle off the pill and my bodies just adjusting.. keep thinking maybe it's implantation but surely you wouldn't have cramps for that long? And I'm sure they've been there since 4/5dpo so I'm not hopeful.

No other symptoms boobs are a little tender and I'm feeling abit headachy but just have a feeling it's going to be a BFN this month.. have already ordered some vitamin D for next cycle as I don't think I'm getting enough.

I am going to test in the morning but not expecting a BFP 🙈

Look back through my old posts when TTC my son and I actually felt implantation on 8DPO so holding out hope for that.

@GeraniumCedarwood I'm dying for a glass of wine! I have a wedding next Friday so at least I'll know by then.. it will be the one thing that will cheer me up! 🤣

MrsGrealish · 10/04/2022 17:50

Pure craic with the Amazon driver though..literally winked at me and said enjoy your day😅 not sure what he thought was in the package

MrsGrealish · 10/04/2022 17:38

@GeraniumCedarwood go for it!

Now I have all these tests I'm dying to test. I'm at the most 7dpo so it would be an absolute negative.

GoT1904 · 10/04/2022 17:18

@MrsGrealish 😂😂😂 congrats on the stealthy delivery of your tests. I really wish I had some cheapies now

Have had periods of my nipples burning intensely today! I know it's likely still hormones adjusting after the pill, but it's still playing on my mind! I think it'd be impossible to have proper symptoms at this stage tho??

Eeeee some of you are testing soon. I'm excited xxx

GeraniumCedarwood · 10/04/2022 17:15

@MrsGrealish well done 😂 I think you’ve inspired me to do some Amazon ordering.

How everyone’s weekends been? I was at wedding yesterday - I did have one small glass of Prosecco as I’ve had no symptoms at all, and fed up of keeping my life on hold. Feeling a bit guilty about it today though!

ArcEnCiel2022 · 10/04/2022 16:40

@MrsGrealish perfect, well done! 😁

MrsGrealish · 10/04/2022 16:06

@ArcEnCiel2022 he dandered out to the garage and Amazon prime literally pulled up. Needless to say I was waiting at the door, grabbed the box and threw it in my drawer 😊 job done 🙌

ArcEnCiel2022 · 10/04/2022 15:52

@MamaMorg01 @MrsGrealish I notice more the cramps when I'm trying to sleep!
I'm the same with the deliveries, DP doesn't know about all the tests I have 😂 last month I collected the deliveries at a pick up point, I didn't want them to arrive at home because he's working from home and I'm not, so there was no way I could intercept them 😂 Could you intercept them already or are you still staring out the window?

@T4Opal I see... Yes apparently Covid can mess up with the cycle. I usually test too early as well, not a good habit, but I can't help it!

MamaMorg01 · 10/04/2022 14:33

@MrsGrealish haha it's okay I'm exactly the same😬 x

MrsGrealish · 10/04/2022 14:27

@MamaMorg01 totally agree though. I will 100% cave when I see other people testing. I have zero willpower 🙄
