So I did a freedom pregnancy test strip this morning, looked at it bang on 10 minutes and had a thick pink line, i realised after looking at the instructions you are meant to read at 5 minutes 🤦‍♀️ what do you guys think?

So I had a miscarriage 3 weeks ago went doctors and they took urine and bloods and confirmed no HCG was present and pregnancy had been listed , got a test yesterday and it came up a faint positive I’ve taken 2 more test today and the same what are the chances of actually being pregnant?

Those pink tests look reassuringly positive.

Congratulations! Good luck to you all. Xx

One I saw the heartbeat at 7 week I was able to relax, because of the mc's I was allowed early scans at the hospital. Although I did have a panic wobble at about 11 weeks thinking it was gone, so I paid for a private scan which helped, best money I ever spent! Since then I've put the thought of loss to the back of my mind. Just had to accept what will be will be, worrying about it won't change anything.

becct · 30/03/2022 16:43

Yeah im hoping once the shock has worn off he will be ok, I had a negative blood test at the hospital on the 18ty and took a fluconazole tablet on the 19th, so now a little worried about that 🤦‍♀️

Im sorry to hear about your mc's, how long did it take for you to be excited and not panicked about it

Ah in that case hopefully all will be good. I was 22 and back packing in Australia when I meet now DH. It would have been bonkers to have started a family.

We got have been trying for 2.5 years now (majority of that not actively just not using contraceptive), I've had two mc's as well. You really don't know how long it will take so prob is a just surprise/shock it happened so quickly!! As much as we have been hoping for this baby there was a still an "oh crap, this is real" moment!!

becct · 30/03/2022 15:05

Im 32 and he's 31, so I feel that are ages are good as we've spoke about having a few children if able

I feel us moving in together has been absolutely fine, as it was with you, babies do change everything so I do see his worry. I have a really good feeling about him, he agrees that its something we both want, he jist didnt want it this soon 🙄

That is pretty soon to be fair, how old are you?

My now DH moved in with me the first night we slept together! We were living together (accommodation supplied for us by our employer in Oz), we slept together, me moved into my room and we've lived together since. That was 10 years ago. So I can't say anything about moving in together quickly!! Only expecting our 1st child this summer tho.

Do you have a good feeling about him? Oh also anecdotally my uncle got his gf pregnant after 2/3 months (not planned) she was in uni, that child is 17 now and they are married with more kids so it does work out

becct · 30/03/2022 13:15

Thank you so much 🥰

Congratulations in that case!

becct · 30/03/2022 13:04

I have no doubt in my mind I 100% want this baby

MobLife · 30/03/2022 13:03

Do you want to go ahead with the pregnancy?

becct · 30/03/2022 13:00

The thing is it was his idea to stop the pill! We've only been together 3 months, I know that will sound crazy, and it is, but our reletionship just moved fast and felt right, he even lives with me now. I completely understand his concerns, I think its natural, but im now petrified he won't come round or leave.

Thats so lovely that your husband was able to have children after being told he cant 😊 the human body is amazing!

From the looks of things you were trying. How long have you been together. He's probably suprised thst it happened so fast.

My husband walked round like a zombie for the first two weeks. Mainly cos he was told he'd probably never father children after cancer since he was 11. We were thrilled to find ivf was an option and were between cycles when I got pregnant naturally. He was sooooo freaked out. My daughter is now 3 months and he is such a dotting dad. He texts me from his office asking for photos

becct · 30/03/2022 12:50

It was so instant! We decided to stop the pill at the end of feb, and went with the 'if it happens, it happens' approach, we both didn't expect it to happen this quickly thats for sure. We've been together a short amount of time, probably too short, and he's worried that we haven't been able to do all the coupley pre kids things that you do and that we need to know each other more

OP posts:
irishfarmer · 30/03/2022 12:36

Most certainly positive :)

What do you mean freaked out? Just a little shock it's happened so quickly or genuinely freaking out? A little shock/ surprise/ realisation is normal even if you are planning it.

twinkletwixkle · 30/03/2022 12:33

Freaked out ina good way? You was both trying wasn't you?
Congrats op x

becct · 30/03/2022 12:29

Thank you so much, although my partner has completely freaked out 😔

Will definitely be doing another, the wait is torture 😫 its a little scary for me at the time as thos is our first month of trying and we've only been together a short amount of time

OP posts:
Lou98 · 30/03/2022 10:12

I would say that's positive although technically invalid. It's definitely too thick and too pink to be an evap line I'd say though!

Take another test and you'll know for sure
