@Flutterbybutterfly2 I got the results of the physical tests at my follow up appointment, but still waiting for results of placenta and chromosome tests due to backlog, and it’s been 5 months now 😔I’ve got no idea who I can even speak to about it to find out what is going on.

Flutterbybutterfly2 · 01/06/2022 20:39

Yes I had a post mortem done as I thought I was 16 weeks along but the baby had passed away at 14 weeks. It was a missed miscarriage. I’m just not sure how much they would be able to tell me? I really want some answers really

LuckyMoonstone · 01/06/2022 20:21

@Flutterbybutterfly2 were you far enough along to have a post mortem done? If so you may get the results at your appointment. Otherwise they just ask how you are, if you’re getting enough support or need any additional help.

Flutterbybutterfly2 · 01/06/2022 17:51

Hi 👋🏻, this may be a stupid question but what happens at the follow up appointment with the consultant following a miscarriage?

I hopefully will have mine soon, been waiting 14 weeks so far, I just don’t know what to expect.
Many thanks 🙏

TheBirdintheCave · 01/06/2022 10:40

6dpo here and finding that the time has passed really quickly as I'm so busy with work and planning for our holiday. I wish every two week wait was like this haha. Unfortunately AF is now due towards the end of my holiday so that's going to be fun in a heatwave x__x

bunnykins123 · 01/06/2022 08:56

@Mabelledox that's really interesting, thank you for the update. I have a NHS appointment in early June so plan to go through those hoops before brining in Dr Shehata. He is local to me so it would be easy to go to him but my main worry is cost and being told I have borderline NK cells which brings overall costs up. As I already have a DD, any further treatment on the NHS will not be an option so I want to be proactive.

Mabelledox · 31/05/2022 17:43

@bunnykins123 Thank you ☺️ We'v only had our first appointment last Thursday. I'm not sure what I expected but I didn't instantly warm to him and are concerned he might be tunnel focussed on the Killer Nk cells as these are his specialism however his medical team seemed really nice and I guess if his treatment program works then it doesn't matter how much I like him. It's just frustrating how every specialist I speak too - nhs/ private consultant or even acupuncture, they all belittle each other so it's so difficult to know what to do. I'm definitely having to learnt to advocate for myself already! I get my results on the 9th June so will update when I know what he says!

Have you been able to be referred at all through nhs? I just managed to get myself referred today via the EPU although it's a bit late now having already started the process privately. 🤯

Indianna2006 · 31/05/2022 09:01

@bunnykins123 yeh I guess it just depends. Well my period is late by like 2-4 days I think. But obv still have a squinter on a frer. So maybe it needs a few more days.

so frustrating when I’m just wanting a period to start afresh. As haven’t even had a period since my last loss and now this..

bunnykins123 · 31/05/2022 08:58

@Indianna2006 I've had three chemicals and they have all been different. If you are due your period now, it may take another day or so if the HCG levels are low. Saying that, my last chemical my HCG was 90 before my period started so there is no hard fast rules 💕

Indianna2006 · 31/05/2022 08:38

@bunnykins123 I don’t really know. I just want my period to arrive.

my temps are still so high. I tested again this morning. Still there on the frer but fainter. Real squinter now but it does photograph. How long can I expect to wait for my period if it’s been a chemical?

bunnykins123 · 31/05/2022 08:26

@Indianna2006 I'm so sorry that the test didn't progress. I think ( even though it's devastating) it's a positive sign that you can fall pregnant. Are you feeling ok?

@Mabelledox I'm so sorry to hear about your miscarriages. It's such a hard place to be. I'm considering Dr Shehata too - what's your experience been with him?

Mabelledox · 30/05/2022 18:49

Hey everyone,

Iv been watching from the sidelines since my first miscarriage last December hoping that when I got pregnant again in February that my luck was in!

Sadly when I went to my three month scan in April I found out I had had a missed miscarriage at 11.4 days so I had to have an ERPC the following day.

At the time the nurses diagnosed a chromosome abnormality which meant they didn't test the foetus following my op. We have decided to seek private advice due to the nhs guidelines and not wanting to go through another miscarriage and are now under the care of Dr.Shehata.

We had our first consultation last week and follow up in June. Frustratingly he discovered I still had a tiny bit of 'product' left in me although this hasn't stopped my period or I think ovulation (not sure!) so that's a whole other thing I need to worry about.

Anyway that's my story. Sad to be here but looking to be a part of a community that just 'get it' and keen to provide some moral support to others going through the same process!

Thanks for having me x

Indianna2006 · 30/05/2022 17:09

@bunnykins123 tested on a frer yesterday morning and it was much fainter. So looks like it was a new pregnancy but a chemical.

my temp is still really high and still awaiting period which is now late 😔

cant believe I fell so quickly again when it took me 11 cycles before. And it’s over before it’s begun again.

bunnykins123 · 30/05/2022 16:37

@curliegirlie I'm so sorry to hear AF arrived 😣 I'm taking you're advice and going to get DD vaccinated for chicken pox. I feel like it's everywhere at the moment! How are you feeling?

@ElleBelleLou you are probably a bit too early for symptoms at this stage. The problem with symptoms as pregnancy symps vs normal cycle symps (progesterone) are pretty much the same so it can be hard to tell before a bfp (it's fun to symptom spot though!)

@Indianna2006 how are you doing today? Have you retested?

ElleBelleLou · 30/05/2022 13:11

Currently in the 2WW, ovulated on 26th according to Flo (though had ovulations cramps 24th so may have been earlier). DTD 22nd, 23rd, 24th and 26th so hoping we've managed to catch.

So I'm between 4 and 6 DPO today and I'm have a strange, uncomfortable but not painful cramping feeling. Everything just feels a bit heavy - anyone had that before?

curliegirlie · 30/05/2022 13:06

Boo! AF has just arrived. But on the plus side that means last month was a sensible 29 days and both OPK and bbt showed signed of ovulation. Here's to June!

Indianna2006 · 29/05/2022 18:41

@Blue2020 sending you lots of love. It’s hard waiting for the next period. But fingers crossed these rainbow babies are now far away

Blue2020 · 29/05/2022 17:30

@curliegirlie @Indianna2006 I would have been 16 weeks too. Just waiting for a negative test after ERPC last Monday. I’m going to ttc as soon as the bleeding stops.

Indianna2006 · 29/05/2022 17:15

Well I got more FRER delivered today. Took one this afternoon with a 4 hour hold. Fainter than yesterday. So that’s not a coincidence.

think I have fallen again streight away but it’s going to be a chemical. My temps are so high. My period hasn’t turned up yet. And my bbt chart looks like it did when I was pregnant with my DD. Which is the only time it’s ever looked like temps just keep on rising.

i thought it was odd my test was negative 2 weeks ago. But now with it going down so fast and my temps. I believe it was a new pregnancy.

but rather this than what I went through last 2 months. Hopefully my period arrives soon and I can start on a fresh new cycle. And given me hope we can fall again hopefully not too far away 🤞🏼🤞🏼

top test is from today…so think it’s clear what’s happened.

curliegirlie · 29/05/2022 13:19

DO look into the vaccination. I’d considered it a few times, but never looked into it properly and now am paying the price for it.

We’ve got pretty much all our money back from the holiday (although still waiting for the flight vouchers to turn into actual cash as promised by Expedia CS), but have no chance of booking the same holiday for later on in the year - the flights are SO much more expensive and most of the decent ones (direct at sensibles times) have gone.

Much as I’d love to retain some optimism for next week, the combination of BFN and temp drops are not encouraging. And I haven’t even got cocktails at the hotel bar and day trips to distract me!

Indianna2006 · 29/05/2022 12:59

@curliegirlie it’s so hard isn’t it. I’d of been 16 weeks pregnant too.

i haven’t even had a period yet. And seem to still be testing negative from the mmc. Ffs. Driving me insane.

just want to be back to normal and in with a chance!

we are off to Majorca end of month and hoping my child doesn’t get pox 😔😳

youngiesophie · 29/05/2022 12:42

@Indianna2006 yes seems dark would’ve thought it would be barely visible. Lol I know I always test when I say I’m not going to then get inconclusive results lol🤣 fingers crossed

@curliegirlie Wouldn’t count yourself out yet til AF!!! Will u get any kind of money back for the holiday? So sorry for your loss we are all here for you Xx

curliegirlie · 29/05/2022 12:18

I’m feeling sorry for myself tbh. I should currently be 16 weeks pregnant and enjoying a very long awaited 10 day holiday in Malta. But instead I’m at home with a poxy child (fervently hoping she may have recovered enough to enjoy some of the Jubilee festivities later this week, but she’s still SO spotty…), got negative tests at 10, 11 and 12DPO and my temp has dropped the last couple of days, so I’m fairly certain AF will be on her merry way on Tuesday or Wednesday, if not before 😥. I just need a BREAK!

Indianna2006 · 29/05/2022 11:55

@youngiesophie it does seem a fair line doesn’t it. And seem strange that can still be hanging around when I got a negative for a normal test 2 weeks ago. Does the end bit really take that long to drop.

i presumed I had negative on a normal strip test. Within a few days it would deff be below the 5hcg threshold.

such ahead fuck. And irritating. And wish now I’d of just waited for period and not tested.

youngiesophie · 29/05/2022 11:32

@Indianna2006 Wouldn’t count yourself out yet, that frer looks quite positive Id think it would be way fainter if ur hcg was going down but idk what I’m talking about! Fingers crossed that the frer will be darker when u next test and no period!
