Thanks @mummyofrb and @calimc83 for sharing your experiences. I’m so sorry for your losses - it really is the most awful thing 😢
We’ll see how tomorrow goes but if they can fit us in soon I think we’ll opt for surgical intervention as well. Feel like I’ll need a break after this trauma even if we have to miss the beginning of the holiday.

MooBugz · 06/06/2022 20:37

@calimc83 so sorry to hear that 😢 I hope you are ok and get some answers from the referral

Skl2021 · 06/06/2022 19:20

@calimc83 I have been thinking of you I hope your doing ok as can be ♥️ xx

Hi @calimc83 we were on a previous thread together, sorry to hear about your experience 😞

I am in a similar experience, with two miscarriages in 7 months. My latest one was also found at a reassurance scan at 10 weeks where I was measuring 7+1. I'm sure they must get this happen quite often, but they didn't seem to know what to do with me when they told me! It was such a surreal experience.

Really great that you could get a referral though- sometimes it just helps to have a plan in place. I couldn't wait and have gone private. I have my first set of bloods tomorrow.

I think I am ovulating either today or tomorrow, so will also have the TWW to contend with! It's my second cycle post MC and I am trying my best not to get consumed by it, but these past 7 months just feel like a complete waste- I have nothing to show for them!

@MooBugz a great like for 9dpo- congratulations!

calimc83 · 06/06/2022 17:22

Hey everyone. I can't believe I'm back here again. 2nd MMC in 7 months. Found out again at a 'reassurance' scan...happened at 7+6 when should have been 10 weeks. Pretty much same thing happened again with me. No sign of MC at all..no real loss is symptoms/no spotting nothing. Feels like such a kick in the teeth, I have had 2 healthy pregnancies as well so really struggling for answers at the mo. Managed to get a referral to recurrent MC team so that's something at least. Have bought pretty much every supplement under the sun now, I'm 39 so pretty much declaring my eggs as defunct 🙈😫..@pangolin84 I'm so sorry about your loss. I was in the same position as you a month ago. We were due to go on hol 5 days later. I went with the MVA as all done and dusted on the day so to speak. If u can still go away, I personally would go. Did me the world of good to get away oh and I also told them about the hol so they managed to get me in and out that day xx

MooBugz · 06/06/2022 12:53

So I caved and tested at 9dpo didn't think much but I have a faint line!

Can't describe the nerves and anxiety that it comes with though but for now I'll allow some happiness 🙈

@pangolin84 hey lovely I unfortunately had the same in feb. I chose surgical vacuum procedure as i couldn't deal with the waiting. They rang to book me in on the Friday and I went in on Monday for pre op mostly Signing things and getting meds for next day, then had op on the Tuesday i was in and out within an hour. It really wasn't pleasant but staff were amazing I had pain relief and gas and air the whole time and could just go home to my bed which is all I wanted. I bled quite heavily for about 12 hours then just went to like a period. I'm so sorry you're going through this it's so heartbreaking and a choice we shouldn't have to make. Sending so much love Xxx

pangolin84 · 06/06/2022 11:53

@Stargazer89 I agree that I wouldn’t wait (assuming that you’re ok financially in your current situation). You can still job hunt while TTC though - you don’t need to tell them you’re trying to have a baby. I’m 37 now and really regretting leaving it this late. It took me ages (basically a decade) to convince DH to start trying. He’s very laid-back and thinks we’ve got plenty of time 🙄.

I have an appointment to be seen at the EPAU tomorrow and really unsure about which option to take in terms of management. I can’t think straight. I’ve read the leaflet from the Miscarriage Association and it was helpful but I still have no idea what the best thing to do is. Can anyone offer any advice about their experiences of medical vs surgical? Waiting it out seems like it could really drag on… I don’t think I’ll be going on holiday either way ☹️

youngiesophie · 06/06/2022 11:06

@bunnykins123 good luck for today! Thank u I’ll keep you all updated, when you’ve had so many mc’s it’s not really exciting to go to a scan anymore xx

bunnykins123 · 06/06/2022 10:37

@youngiesophie good luck with the scan - I really hope this is your little rainbow baby 🤞

@pangolin84 I'm so sorry to hear about your MMC. There are lots of ladies on this thread who are really supportive and have sadly been through similar. Talking definitely helps 💕

@TheBirdintheCave I did the exact same thing! Sadly for me AF arrived day 1 of my holiday so was gutted but I so hope that AF doesn't arrive for you this holiday 🤞 how are you feeling overall?

@Stargazer89 im in the same situation as you, 3 miscarriages since trying to have our second child. Same age too. My advice would be to not put your life on hold (easier said than done, I know!). Have you had a referral to the reoccurring miscarriage clinic from the NHS? Mine is today (took a lifetime to come through!) and I'm so glad I'm finally moving forward with getting some answers!

youngiesophie · 06/06/2022 09:51

Have early scan on sat after 4 miscarriages so not looking forward to it and expecting worst will be 6 weeks 5 days so should be able to see something

youngiesophie · 06/06/2022 09:49

@Stargazer89 @TheBirdintheCave I agree I wouldn’t wait either xx

@pangolin84 So sorry for your loss ♥️☹️

pangolin84 · 06/06/2022 07:32

Hi all, I hope it’s ok if I join you.
I had an early MC in 2019 around 6 weeks, then it took us a whole year to conceive again. Thankfully that pregnancy gave us our DS, who is nearly 2, and he is my world.
We started trying for #2 earlier this year - got pregnant in April and went for a private scan yesterday at 10 weeks which found that the embryo had stopped growing at 6+5, so diagnosed as a MMC. It’s heartbreaking.
I’m waiting for my referral to the EPAU to decide next steps. I’m supposed to be going on holiday in two days so am really stressing about it all.

TheBirdintheCave · 06/06/2022 06:46

@Stargazer89 I’m so sorry for your losses :( In answer to your question, I wouldn’t wait. I’m 35 with an 18 month old and am very anxious about my age, especially after our own miscarriage in March. We decided to just keep trying no matter what the personal circumstances as we really want a second child and time is not on our side. Good luck!

After a bit of debating we decided to not take any tests with us to Italy, so here I am 11dpo in Bologna and I’ve just got to wait it out to see if AF arrives or not. I am not usually this chilled 😂

Stargazer89 · 05/06/2022 19:55

Hi ladies, can I join in please? I'm in such a state with not knowing what to do for the best.

I'm 36 and have an almost 2 year old.

We have been trying to have another little one since end of last summer. We fell pregnant within a couple of months but that ended in a MMC end of November 2021, didn't have a cycle but discovered i was pregnant again in Jan this year again it ended in an early MC, fell pregnant again before next cycle and sadly also ended in miscarriage at 10/11 weeks then choose surgical option which was 3 weeks ago! So that's 3 MC it total so we are being referred for tests. I just don't know where to go from here. I am looking to get back in to work after being a SAHM and putting off going back to work for much longer than expected due to miscarriages. I am also due to be bridesmaid next April. I desperately want another baby (although i am so grateful to be blessed already) but I don't know if I should get a job secured first but then that would mean waiting a few months before trying again and potentially being very early in pregnancy when being a bridesmaid which would make things awkward because I wouldn't want people to know early on. I'm also worried that if i put it off will I regret it because give current history it's not being a straight forward journey so far and what if I end up missing my chance.

I dont really know what i'm asking for by posting on here but it would just be helpful to hear what people would do in my situation.

So sorry for long post x

mummyofrb · 05/06/2022 16:58

@bunnykins123 I am absolutely not testing this month after crying over 1 line last month then getting indent and causing myself confusion and upset! No one knows we're trying again after my mmc because it caused so much upset for my family I feel like I'm just putting them through my pain again. When I was ttc the baby I lost I actually found it quite fun and just went with the flow, I knew vaguely when I ovulated but that was about it, but I don't see myself ever been that calm again now🤦‍♀️

bunnykins123 · 05/06/2022 13:11

@mummyofrb I hear ya! I think the 2ww is actually harder (for me) than any other part of my cycle as it's the 'am I, aren't I' questioning that drives me nuts. I don't test anymore but I seem to get far more symptoms than I used to get before AF which just ends in me being really disappointed when AF arrives.

@LuckyMoonstone awh I'm so sorry to hear AF has arrived. Mine arrived on the 1st day of our holiday so that was a fun way to spend our 1st day abroad!

mummyofrb · 05/06/2022 10:56

@LuckyMoonstone so sorry lovely hope you're ok x

LuckyMoonstone · 05/06/2022 09:02

AF has arrived 😔

mummyofrb · 04/06/2022 16:33

Hi everyone currently in 2ww and just feeling so down and awful that it's going to be another negative this month. I got my hopes up last month and really have tried not to this month and just relax with it but it's easier said than done. I am awful to be around just down and miserable waiting for af to come or not. I almost feel like giving up ttc and maybe that will help me move on I just feel like getting pregnant again will be the only thing to heal my pain from mc x

My2boysaremyworld · 02/06/2022 10:26

@Indianna2006 sorry for your loss, sending lots of hugs x

My2boysaremyworld · 02/06/2022 10:21

@FfayeN wow that gives me hope but I'm so scared to imagine it could be true for me. Woke up today and I feel nauseous, boobs are still very sensitive and cramping. I'm due AF until 14th June which is she's away x

Indianna2006 · 02/06/2022 08:37

@My2boysaremyworld i imagine it could be possible yes. As cycles could be a bit haywire for a while.

well I finally started to bleed. The tests had gone fainter so it was a chemical pregnancy. Period was 5 days late. But it’s arrived and I can now start a fresh cycle. And avoid all the confusion.

hoping we can fall pregnant again fairly quickly. But now so worried about having a sticky one with two losses in a row.

FfayeN · 02/06/2022 07:34

@My2boysaremyworld yes, a friend of mine didn't realise she was pregnant when she ovulated on day 8 (before testing with OPKs that were then all without a peak nearer to her normal fertile window). Wishing you the best 🤞🏼 xxx

My2boysaremyworld · 01/06/2022 22:53

Is it possible to ovulate straight after a period? Had a miscarriage in April 4 weeks later had my period and Iv been doing ovulation tests from day 10 and haven't had any where near of a peak. I'm now getting strange tummy pains, bad back, sensitive boobs. Wondering if I could of ovulated straight after my period and I DTD twice within a few days after finishing AF. Can a miscarriage effect ovulation? The symptoms I'm getting now is what I had before I found out I was pregnant in March. Trying not to get my hopes up but something is going on. Not due AF until 14th June so can't possibly be that already
