@Lizm1990 well I already failed and tested this morning at 5DPO. So so ridiculous, I was even laughing at myself as I did it, like why am I doing this? Only internet cheapies though so will probably test from Friday onwards…after promising myself I wouldn’t test until AF was late.
I know what I’m like though and it helps me feel in control constantly peeing on sticks! @WorriedD93 I’d test in the morning, but only you can know what’s right for you. I don’t “mind” seeing the negative but know it can be hard to see. Also at 11dpo even if it’s negative, remember doesn’t mean you’re out!

WorriedD93 · 30/03/2022 21:11

Hi ladies, hope you don’t mind me joining, 1 miscarriage October 2020, 1 ectopic feb 2021, third cycle trying back on chlomid, I’m 10dpo, cramps and sore boobs (not sure if my boobs are sore from gyming) I just can’t work out if they’re symptoms or AF is going to arrive, I’ve had more creamy CM than usual, visual on underwear (sorry for tmi) which I don’t usually get. When do you think I should test or do you think it sounds like AF will arrive?

Lots of luck to you all ladies and congratulations those who got their BFP xxx

Lizm1990 · 30/03/2022 21:01

@Louisa89614 my AF is saying 9th for me, I ovulated CD17 and I have a D&C we are both very similar on all counts, I’m just trying to not give into temptation to test. I’m already over analysing every little pain feeling and I keep thinking it can’t be anything pregnancy related it’s just too soon but it doesn’t stop my mind going into over drive 🤣🤣🤣🤦‍♀️

Louisa89614 · 30/03/2022 20:55

@ElleBelleLou agree with this. I found not knowing my body/cycles so hard afterwards. Just have to give it time and let body recover.

@Lizm1990 I’m normally always 28 days but definitely ovulated late this month (first proper cycle after DC) on CD 16/17 so Flo showing period not due until next Saturday!

@JaK0909 I O’d later but think anything seems possible after mc so hope you can get donation sorted just in case!

Lizm1990 · 30/03/2022 20:38

@calimc83 big congratulations for you 🎉🎉🎉 ❤️🥰

@Louisa89614 TWW buddies I’m 4dpo and I’m getting so impatient haha, it’s also my first cycle too, got my fingers crossed for us both that we get our sticky beans, when is your AF due do you know? I’m trying to hold out on testing if I’m late.

@ElleBelleLou I’m in my first proper cycle now but I felt so frustrated as I waited for AF before we started trying again, and it felt so long even to get my period, it was 28 days to the day I had surgery but the wait was infuriating. As much as I googled I just didn’t know what my body was doing and I had never been so happy to see AF arrive but it’s up to you if you start trying now or wait for AF, I personally tracked ovulation with easy at home tests and that has helped me feel in more control as I can chart my LH hormone and learn what my body is doing.

JaK0909 · 30/03/2022 19:46

@TheBirdintheCave we had a MMC the medical management didn’t work for us - first dose had a bit of a light bleed but cervix stayed shut and same with the second dose. We ended up having a surgical removal but at least that meant we knew it was finished. So sorry for your loss. We are now on CD8 after surgical mgt and having our first donation today - ovulation seems to be occurring early for some reason - any ladies experienced this? Prior to MMC ovu happened at CD16 with 28-30 day cycles?

Sassy144 · 30/03/2022 19:38

@ElleBelleLou I'm so sorry ❤️ my advice would be to give your body time and once you've had your first period things will get back to normal. Sending lots of hugs, take care of yourself xx

Nikkic2123 · 30/03/2022 18:45

@calimc83

Well...looks like it wasn't covid that delayed AF 😬🙈
I can’t believe I almost missed this, big congrats to you x x
ElleBelleLou · 30/03/2022 18:28

Hello everyone,

I hope it is okay for me to join this late on. I'm so sorry, I haven't been able to read through all the threads.
My first pregnancy sadly ended in miscarriage this month, I had an appointment with the EPU yesterday as not all has passed and my pregnancy tests were still very very positive.
I took another test today and it is really faint so I am confident my body will start getting back to normal and I will test negative soon.

My question is, how do you get back to normal? I was so on top of my cycle before this happened, I knew exactly when I ovulated and when I would bleed and was able to get my BFP at 8DPO because I knew straight away when something was different. Now I feel like I'm starting from scratch, I haven't bled since my mc and I'm left wondering how do I even start TTC again?

I'm sending baby dust to you all and so sorry that we have all been in this boat. Xx

calimc83 · 30/03/2022 16:46

@TTBAM91 agreed! Mumsnet only feeds the obsession. I've been off work this week with covid ( great timing 😂) so been on it constantly. It's addictive..
Hmm maybe u could start a thread and see if anyone else has some experience? It sounds like the NHS are at least monitoring you and actually doing something so that's always a positive I guess! I have everything crossed that this works out for you xx

TTBAM91 · 30/03/2022 16:25

@calimc83 yeah I have but all we know is they exist 😂 I had an internal ultrasound Monday where they checked them (their second check) and I have a call on Friday to discuss it further but now if this pregnancy is viable and carries through I’m guessing they can’t operate or remove them.

They don’t cause me any issues and I only found out I had them because I started investigating after my previous losses. Hopefully they’re not an issue and go away with the pregnancy but they’re considered Large (8cm and 12cm) so unlikely to get that lucky!

What wouldn’t I give for a crystal ball 😂

I completely get your anxiety too, the early stages are the worst but all we can do is stay positive and distracted. (Probably mumsnet not the best place to be for the distracted part though 😂)

calimc83 · 30/03/2022 14:47

@TTBAM91 Thank you, I'm getting anxious already as I know it's such early days. I don't have any experience of fibroids at all. Have u managed to speak with your GP about them? X

calimc83 · 30/03/2022 14:45

@Mfinch225 I tested early this cycle 🙈..but tbf I don't know when I ovulated. I think I'm roughly 13 DPO today but could easily be a day or so either side. X

calimc83 · 30/03/2022 14:44

@TheBirdintheCave ahh ok. I'm so sorry lovely, thinking of you today. Look after yourself xx

mummyofrb · 30/03/2022 14:39

Hey! I'm ttc, I got my first period after mc on 20th March, it ended about 24th. I should be starting ovulation in next day or so but no signs and had some brown discharge. Does this mean I might ovulate later this cycle? I wasn't planning on using ovulation tests think I would drive myself mad!

Skl2021 · 30/03/2022 14:38

@Tofu35 haha thankyou 😝 I was addicted couldn't resist if I have tests in the house! I know some people can't stand the bfn tho so depends on the person! Xx

Huge congratulations @calimc83 fingers toes and everything crossed for you.
There’s nothing more nerve wrecking Then these few weeks and every day feels like a month at this rate.

I hit the 5 week mark today, did a clear blue digital and got the little 3+. I thought it would bring relief but I still just feel so negative and down that I’m going to go through the same thing that’s happened twice now.

By any chance has anyone experienced a successful pregnancy with large fibroids? I have 2 and they don’t know if they’re causing the issues or not!

Lottie2267 · 30/03/2022 14:16

@Mfinch225 I usually test at like 9dpo but I’m 11dpo now and haven’t tested yet. AF is due Saturday so I’m gonna wait until Sunday or Monday. I don’t think early testing makes the tww any easier, it makes it worse if anything! That’s for me personally, I know everyone is different xx

Sassy144 · 30/03/2022 14:07

@Mfinch225 I think it really depends from person to person so the advice I think is to wait until your period is due to test for the most accurate results (I know it's so hard!)

Tofu35 · 30/03/2022 14:06

@mfinch225 we have some early testing enthusiasts in this thread (@skl2021 used to be our early bird), but I usually try my best to test as close to AF as possible. Which means some days I test in the morning and then AF arrives a few hours later! While the TWW is torture, early testing doesn't make my wait any easier :)

Louisa89614 · 30/03/2022 14:02

I’m only on my first cycle - took 6 weeks to get first period and currently in 2WW.
I tested this morning at 5DPO (negative obviously) so I’m the worst person to ask 🙈 I’m going to wait till at least 10DPO before trying again…

Mfinch225 · 30/03/2022 13:43

Hey everyone- what DPO would you advice is the most accurate for testing? I’ve been guilty of testing to early and want to set a target for not testing till a certain DPO! Would love your thoughts 😂!

TheBirdintheCave · 30/03/2022 13:24

@calimc83 I was 9 weeks but the sac was only measuring at 6 weeks. And yeah I think we'll call tomorrow if nothing has happened properly by then.

calimc83 · 30/03/2022 12:53

@Louisa89614 Thank you! 😚 what cycle are u on after your MC? It will happen for u xxx

Louisa89614 · 30/03/2022 12:36

@TheBirdintheCave so sorry you are going through this. I had surgical so can’t advise but I’d definitely give EPU another call before the end of the day if you don’t feel things have progressed.
@calimc83 massive congratulations! Seeing these positives really keeps me going. Everyone here has been through one of the worst things imaginable but this gives me hope.
