Ahh sorry @curliegirlie can you post link again! I'll join that one x

No, yours has been posted on now, whereas mine seems to have got lost 😅. I should have tried to link to it on here earlier! Thanks @mummyofrb!

theblueflowers · 09/06/2022 16:31

@pangolin84 glad it went as well as it could, and you were so looked after.

It is really is so odd getting excited about only seeing one line, but for me it was the closure I needed.

Look after yourself x

mummyofrb · 09/06/2022 15:43

@pangolin84 oh my thoughts have been with you today. I'm so glad it all was straight forward to you and the physical part is over. The doctors and nurses were brilliant with me as well it's something I'll always remember. Was your partner allowed in with you? Being on here is so helpful because it's hard to connect with people when they haven't had the same experiences and it's helped me not feel so alone. Xxx

TTC after Miscarriage Thread 8 www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/4565774-ttc-after-miscarriage-thread-8 I've started new thread before this one fills up thanks so much @Skl2021 this has helped me so much. Good luck with everything🌈🌈

Ahh, I created one too - sorry if it got lost!

pangolin84 · 09/06/2022 15:06

A little update here. My bleeding didn’t get any heavier and they were happy to proceed. If it had been heavier they said they would have scanned me first to check that I hadn’t already passed the pregnancy tissue.
The procedure itself was really quick and although it wasn’t very nice the doctor and nurses were all so lovely. They said it all went well, which is such a relief. I’m so glad I took this option and can now try to process what has happened and focus on recovering.

Thank you everyone for sharing your experiences and giving me advice - it’s made all the difference and so lovely to chat to others in the same position. Although it’s a crappy club to be a part of it’s nice not to feel alone in this.

Got to take a pregnancy test in 3 weeks - going to be a bit strange hoping for only one line!

Hey ladies this thread is nearly full and don't want you all to loose each other as it has been a great support. I think it's time for me to come off here now and pass it onto someone else if anyone wants to take it over and start a new thread ♥️ wishing all of you the best ✨ x

@pangolin84 oh I'm not too sure to be honest?? Yes I used the gas and air for the injection as I was more terrified of that but weirdly u don't feel anything x

pangolin84 · 08/06/2022 22:48

@calimc83 Yes it’s just under local. They haven’t mentioned gas and air to me, only the injection into the cervix to administer the anaesthetic. I’ll take your tip on board though!

Just discovered a bit more bleeding this evening and more red this time. No cramping yet. Seems like maybe it’s beginning to let go. I’ll have to see what they say in the morning - would they still do the surgery if it’s starting to happen naturally?

calimc83 · 08/06/2022 22:20

@pangolin84 phew..are u awake for it? If it's anything like the manual evacuation then go to town on the gas and air. I can't remember anything of the procedure xx

LuckyMoonstone · 08/06/2022 22:07

@pangolin84 ah thank you, I did have a little cry earlier because my lovely friends had sent me a card & a little gift. But I’ve had lots to do in our new house to keep me occupied and not dwelling on it too much.

pangolin84 · 08/06/2022 21:42

Thank you @mummyofrb - going to show DH your message and hope he takes the hint!

It does feel like the right decision. Should be 11 weeks tomorrow and the little embryo only grew to 6+5. My body must be so desperate to be pregnant 😢

pangolin84 · 08/06/2022 21:39

@calimc83 No, not at all! That’s the kind of thing I need to hear with my anxiety levels skyrocketing. Just want it to be over now so I can focus on recovery.

@LuckyMoonstone due date anniversaries are so hard. I hope you’ve been able to take some time out for yourself today 💙

LuckyMoonstone · 08/06/2022 21:27

@calimc83 thank you lovely, hope you’re ok x

calimc83 · 08/06/2022 20:57

@pangolin84 hope that didn't sound blasé 🙈 - it wasn't meant to by any means xx

calimc83 · 08/06/2022 20:56

@pangolin84 best of luck for tomorrow. You'll be fine. Will be thinking of you xx

calimc83 · 08/06/2022 20:56

@LuckyMoonstone thinking of you today xx
@Astar21 I just need AF to show..then broach the subject with DH. If I was younger, I'd probs leave it a few months... don't feel like I can now. After the 1st MC my cycles shortened slightly and AF would last 7+ days 🙈😫 xx

LuckyMoonstone · 08/06/2022 17:18

It’s my baby boy’s due date today 💙

Astar21 · 08/06/2022 15:00

@calimc83 yes that makes sense. It's hard going through something so traumatic but never getting any answers to why. We tried again 2 weeks after the MC but AF arrived just over a week after that, which seemed quick. Just about to enter fertile week I think but DH is now away with work 😭 Will be interesting to see how my cycles work out now. As I was always regular 30/31 days. How about you? x

mummyofrb · 08/06/2022 14:41

@pangolin84 I think you've made the right choice as much as it's scary the thought of a procedure I think it saves a lot of the pain and drawn out process of a natural mc. Just think you'll be in and out within the hour, my partner bought me some new pjs and some lucozade and snacks for the next day and I just binged a Netflix series. I'm so sorry lovely you're stronger than you know and by tomorrow the physical part will be over and you can start the healing process💕

youngiesophie · 08/06/2022 14:03

So sorry @pangolin84 🥺♥️

pangolin84 · 08/06/2022 13:20

My brown spotting hasn’t progressed to anything significant so far, and I’ve come to the end of my patience. Gave them a call and I’ve got my surgery slot - thankfully they could fit me in tomorrow for local anaesthetic. Feeling apprehensive but glad that it will be sorted sooner rather than later. Already feels like this has been dragging on for an eternity despite only finding out there was no heartbeat on Sunday.
💔

calimc83 · 08/06/2022 12:37

@Astar21 that's good your results are all normal. I kind of want something to show on mine so I can address it if that makes sense? Do u think u will try again straightaway? X
