Does it mean for sure I'm pregnant ? Dh and I had a condom problem but I took the MAP less than 12 hours after...my periods are due in 2 days but I have a feint positive on a tesco pg test...am I pregnant ???

I have done the test, it shows negative at first..then I looked at it again to make sure and there is another line !

Please don't rush into a termination - talk to someone (in RL) about it first - a counsellor.

Why is it so bad?

lulumama · 06/01/2008 16:24

oh

you need to get some counselling with this ASAP

do you have to have a termination?

if so, there are posters here who can give you the info and support

really sorry that this is not what you want. hard situation, i feel for you

Ihaveaproblem · 06/01/2008 16:23

It's really bad timing, I have to have a termination and I'm devastated...reg the MAP, I have done the research as well on success of the MAP over the mumsnetter..I knew I'll be one of them..I cant believe I'm in this situation

Hi
Congratulations!!!

There are worse things to happen in life than a baby.... you may not think it now but in 9 months when you hold little bundle you will KNOW!!

Don't mean to be soppy and of course don't know your circumstances but just wanted to put a positivespin on things....Good luck

TheIceQueen · 06/01/2008 16:16

NAncy - you only need do a search here on MN to see how many people that MAP didn't work for......I'm one of them - like the OP I took it within 12hrs.....but I have a gorgeous DS3 who's now 7 1/2 months old.

Ihaveaproblem - not sure whether to say congratulations or not? Is this really bad "timing" for you?

Ihaveaproblem · 06/01/2008 16:11

Well I have just done clearblue digital pg test and it says I'm pg...so I am no ?
I cant believe it, it's the first time we have an accident, the condom split but I took the MAP first thing the morning after...I'm so gutted

depends when you looked at it, if it was more than 10 minutes then it could be an evaporation line.

Nancy66 · 06/01/2008 13:07

it could be an evaporation line.

You should only consider a second line that appears within the allocated time - a line that shows up some time later doesn't count.

If you took the MAP within 12 hours then I'd have thought you should be ok. All you can do is wait until your period would be due and do another test.

NoNickname · 06/01/2008 13:06

How long did you wait before the line showed up? If it was more than ten minutes, it could be an evaporation line and may mean that you are not pregnant. If the line showed up immediately though, you have a positive test.
