I have done the test, it shows negative at first..then I looked at it again to make sure and there is another line !

No it wasn't bad spelling, just the way you speak, it is kind of poetic! I like it very much

(Sorry if I shouldn't have guessed)

We will be here for you and support you whatever you decide. You were very supportive to me when we were both at the end of our pregnanices, I haven't forgotten. I hope you can find an answer to your dilemmma...

exactly the same thing happened to me when i was 14...... we just thought that ds was really meant to be.

only you know your own situation, but imo going from 1 child to having 2 children is a lot harder than going from 2 to 3, and you are already in " baby mode" so to speak. I have 5 dc and some small age gaps (15 months, 17 months)

I don't have any experience with depression, so can't help with that.

lots of luck coming to the best decision for you x

It can increase the chance of an etopic pregnancy, which is what I had, mine self-resolved though, so didn't need surgery.

SF I would make an urgent appointment tomorrow to see the GP because of the higher chance of having an etopic.

Darling I just knew by your posting style, I have you on my list of favourite Mumsnetters, and think about you often!

I am here and listening if you want to talk, there are lots of us who love you xxx

belgo · 06/01/2008 17:09

spk - does taking the MAP increase the chances of complications? Although I know many mumsnetters have gone on to have healthy babies having taken the MAP.

I'm wondering Summerfruit if you should make an appointment with your GP.

sparklygothkat · 06/01/2008 17:07

Oh sweetie, I had a MAP failure last december, I lost the baby though. I took it within 7 hours and thought I would be ok. I will never take it again. I hope you are ok [hug]

belgo · 06/01/2008 17:05

Is there someone for you to talk to, on your own? Of course your dh is allowed his own opinion, but this is a decision that you need to make, and you need to be 100% sure.

belgo · 06/01/2008 17:03

and very bad luck having a condom failure and MAP failure.

summerfruit -you are a known poster, I've certainly noticed you around, and I'm sure there are lots of us who care about you.

This is a very difficult situation to be in, and I feel for you. You need to give yourself time to work out how you feel, and talk to your dh.
Wishing you all the best.

oh no ! that sounds awful! like i don;t care! just have so many labour chats, i cannot always keep track sorry x

lulumama · 06/01/2008 16:40

i suppose ultimately the question is.. will a termination and the aftermath be harder to cope with especially with a history of depression, than having the baby..... i can absolutely see where you are coming from.. speak to DH.. he can support you i hope and you can talk it through together

FWIW, i have no idea who you are

Ihaveaproblem · 06/01/2008 16:38

Do you know me Flight ? It's very possible...I have changed my name..dont know why, it's not like a lot of people cared about me on Mumsnet !
We are leaving on a small 2 bedroom place, I'm in my last month of maternity leave, my dh only earns 35 K a year, I'm on antidepressant...until I took them I was a really shit mother and a shit wife, what another pg is going to do to us..

GreebosWhiskers · 06/01/2008 16:32

Do you really have to have a termination? I know small gaps can be hard - there's 15 months between my dd1 & dd2, a gap of 12 years (!) between dd2 & dd3 then a gap of 20 months between dd3 & ds - but it does get easier the older they get. Ex-sil did even better than me - her dd was born 2 weeks before her ds's 1st birthday.

Please don't rush into anything. It's very early days yet if your period isn't even due for another 2 days so take your time & consider the pros & cons before you take any action.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

Flllightattendant · 06/01/2008 16:31

Sweetheart, there is always a way. Don't have a termination if you already feel love for the baby. It will be fine.

I think I know who you are bt don't worry, I shan't tell

You are a wonderful mother xx

Ihaveaproblem · 06/01/2008 16:30

Yes it is...it's shocking..I mean it's not like if we havent be careful...

OP posts:
lulumama · 06/01/2008 16:30

there is no easy answer

when you have plans for the future, and goals and you have waited to put them into practice, you are so torn. list of pros and cons? you know your own situation best and know if this is really a terrible thing, or if it is a shock and will work out.. have you spoken to DH?

all i know is, if you choose a termination, it is better sooner rather than later

lulumama · 06/01/2008 16:28

bless you , sweetheart. awful situation. ((((hug)))

Ihaveaproblem · 06/01/2008 16:27

I meant - I was talking with you. I cant have another baby, it will be a catastrophe, I'm waiting to be a childminder, we have a small house, not a lot of money.
