Waiting to ttc 🌻 Anyone else?

Hello! After this current packet, I am coming off my pill then waiting a few months to eat healthy, let my cycle go back to normal then track ovulation... then hoping to start ttc in July 🙂 Very excited, and a little nervous.

Is anyone else waiting to try?

@S0220 stay positive. It is so hard especially as most of the symptoms could be related to both menstrual and early pregnancy signs. Hope your feeling better.

@Sunnymummy3 I have just indulged in a huge slice of fresh cream cake and now promise to eat healthier from tomorrow. I am going to allow myself one cheat day in the week but the rest i will try to eat as healthy as i can. Its easier said then done i know haha

@DogsAndGin good advice 🙂, my period has finally returned so hoping I will be able to work out a pattern soon, are you ttc now?

@S0220 Aw i'm sorry, I have been in your situation and it is tough, the fact that pre period and early pregnancy symptoms are so similar can make ttc really emotional can't it. Hoping you will find out soon one way or another 💜

@Sunnymummy3 hello! I did test today at 12dpo but unfortunately it was a BFN 😩😩😩 although I feel that all of the symptoms I'm having at the moment all point towards pregnancy so it's really messing with my head at the minute. I feel really deflated today. 😔 thanks for asking xx

I came off the pill and regulated immediately. I started tracking ovulation immediately and it was the exact same day each month - I would recommend tracking straight away even if you’re not TTC just so you can try to understand your cycle and regularity.

@S0220 Did you give in and test yet? (And if you didn't, you have amazing self control lol) I am excited to see what happens for you 😀

@fancyfrogs Yes sperm can live for up to 5 days I think I read somewhere before.. or maybe it was longer, anyway, as you said, it's a definite possibility! 🙂 When would your AF be due to arrive?

Sorry I am only replying now, I had a really tough week with my 2 little monsters and was struggling, at times like that, I think " am I crazy to want another " ... anyway they are behaving better so now i'm broody again 😂

Hi @nadsc Aw it feels so far when you really want it now doesn't it, I hope you have a busy Summer and it makes the time fly in for you! Is this your first?

@Mano2020 lol I know what you mean, I was so bad over the holidays but I am back to being good now and really trying, would like to loose a few pounds before ttc as well, might be nice to be skinny before I get far again 😂.
yes you are right... I have just started taking folic acid, I just bought it on it's own was only 99p as I am already taking a few other vitamins separate.

Hi ladies! Hope you're all doing well. Time's going quick here too
Yes still planning on waiting another month or so - although, we had a bit of an erm, 'accident' or lapse in tipsy judgment 😂 and used no protection the other day. I was around 3 days before ovulation so know it's not impossible so in a TWW now I guess 😅
Really not expecting to be pregnant but stranger things have happened and we would be over the moon anyway. Just perhaps a little sooner than thought 😄 if not, planning on starting trying in June anyway!

@Mano2020 I was thinking about starting to take one now. I'm sure the recommendation is to start a couple of months before you conceive ☺️

@Sunnymummy3 you are right! Time is going quickly as my son is keeping me busy but at the same time I am looking forward to the months ahead. I have been trying to motivate myself to eat more healthier but have not really been as strict as i wanted to however the next two months i am going to really try to eat clean and healthy so i feel ready when TTC.

When do you start taking the pre-conception vitamins? I remember taking them with my first but do not remember when i began to take them. Is there a timeframe they suggest before TTC? Thanks

@Sunnymummy3 thanks so much! The TWW has been a drag so far but I've noticed a few signs that may be promising...and what I suspect may be implantation bleeding today at 8dpo. Let's wait and see! Not planning to test until a week today - let's see if I can hold out that long 😂😂

Hey ladies,

I’m waiting to TTC #2 in December when my daughter turns one. I’d get pregnant now if my husband would let me! Feels like it’s so far away though. Going to start prepping and tracking ovulation properly in September and take prenatal vitamins from August. December feels so far away!!!

@Mano2020 It's been a long wait hasn't it, although now that we are in May, I feel like it's not as bad, a good bit closer to July! 😄
It will be so lovely, a sibling is the best gift to give them I think. Have you been doing the healthy eating?

@S0220 oooh, so exciting! I'm pleased to hear that your cycle has returned to normal so you can ttc now😀 really hoping you get a bfp next week instead of AF! How are you finding the 2 week wait so far, Is it dragging in?

I am actively TTC now, after coming off the pill in January. AF is due next week so let's wait and see how successful this cycle has been!

@Mano2020 I'm with you on that. I would love a little sibling for my 2 year old!

Hi, i was thinking of posting on here yesterday. I am still waiting until July time too however watching my son play with other little ones makes me so eager to give him a sibling to play with. Hi ladies, I just thought I would pop in and say hi and ask how you are getting on? Is everyone still holding off until the summer?

I am still waiting until July, also still waiting on my first period to arrive, I stopped the pill right at the start of a "pill period" which lasted 7 days but since then nothing.

Can't get babies off my mind, been watching all of the baby shows on TV and everytime I walk past anything baby related in the supermarket i'm broody. It's terrible lol x

Thank you! Yes the sickness was awful, hopefully we have nice smooth healthy pregnancies this time which we enjoy. I have a little 20 month old boy who i know will make an amazing big brother. Fingers crossed 2023 brings him a sibling Smile

I had to google what birth reflections was as I had never heard of it, that is such a good idea to help process.

Hi @Mano2020 🙂 Can't imagine having sickness the full pregnancy, must of been difficult, hopefully this time will be a better pregnancy and birth!

That is a good idea. I think i will do the same before i start ttc. I did not have a good birth experience with my first and ended up having an emergency C-section. Hoping for a more positive experience this time round. Looking forward to hearing some good news from everyone in this post in the next few months Smile

I am hoping to conceive in May/June. I currently have a 20 month old boy who keeps me very busy but i think after a few months of eating healthy i will be ready to grow our family. Fingers crossed i do not get the nausea and sickness again for 9 months Smile wishing everyone the best of luck!

@Sunnymummy3 the coffee is the hardest, Alcohol I can live without, healthy eating can be done, its the coffee i need in the mornings!!

My two are 16 months and 4 years. Both boys. House is chaos so why not add another!

@fancyfrogs I totally get you, I got a bit obsessed with the opks last time too but in a way it was nice to have something to focus on while waiting, I am going to get on google and read all about temping... something else to obsess over on the wait 😆 We have waited until now to have a little bit bigger gap between 2 and 3 so hoping it will be easier. What will your gap be roughly if you get a bfp soon?

Hi everyone, planning to TTC number 3 in July. So desperate to start now but just not practical for a few months. On all the supplements and have been off the pill for a few months just cycle tracking. Really need to start the healthy eating and cut out the coffee next 😭

@Sunnymummy3 I just felt a bit blind with it all haha I hate not being in control 🤣 I'm not temping, just using OPKs. Seem to have got positives on those at the same point on the last 3 cycles so pretty happy with those for now anyway! I think I'm going to stop using them for a bit though or maybe every other month... don't want to get too fixated on it before we start TTC as I drove myself mad obsessing last time!
Ah how lovely! Not mad, I'd like 3 I think. (I say now... 😅)
