Thank you @Lottie2267. Your poor friend, how awful 😞 xxx

Lottie2267 · 23/03/2022 13:41

@Sassy144 ahhhh I feel your pain, I hope you’re ok. My friend was also pregnant and was due about a month after I was due. However, she lost her baby just a couple of weeks ago at five and a half months. Absolutely horrendous. On top of that, her sister is now pregnant so she has such mixed emotions. I think it’s completely normal to feel how you’re feeling, you’re not alone xxx

Lottie2267 · 23/03/2022 13:28

Glad to hear @flowergarden16 been thinking of you today.

@Frida9 welcome. Everyone here is super supportive! Hope you’re ok and so sorry for your loss. Everyone here has been through loss and I think most of us have been through multiple losses. I think how you’re feeling is completely normal. Miscarriage and loss is unfortunately so so common so please don’t feel alone. I think the timescales on fertility are pretty long so if you did want to go down that route maybe private would be better although I think that’s very expensive and all depends whether you can afford to. I can only speak from experience but time is a healer in my case. I had a miscarriage at 12 weeks in December and then a chemical pregnancy last month. I feel a lot better now than I did last month. Give yourself some time. Glad to hear your other half is supportive xxx

Sassy144 · 23/03/2022 13:26

@flowergarden16 oh bless you, I totally understand and you're right it is normal. I do think it helps to be open about it.

flowergarden16 · 23/03/2022 13:18

I'm sure you will be @Sassy144

I hid from my friend yesterday when I saw her on the street as she is pregnant (about five weeks behind where I would have been, our sons are three weeks apart) and couldn't bare to see her. Think it's normal!

My best friend has infertility and will not have natural children. She found my pregnancy very hard but was really open about it. X

Sassy144 · 23/03/2022 13:12

@flowergarden16 thank you, I feel so guilty for feeling sad about it, but I think it's because the dates are so close - so everything is a reminder of where I'd have been at this point 😞 I really hope I'm pregnant again by the time the due date comes around so I can feel better about it all xx

flowergarden16 · 23/03/2022 13:02

Hi @Frida9 sorry to hear that :-(

If you are over 35 do speak to GP now. If under they say a year.

Everything I've heard suggests chances of getting pregnant after a miscarriage are really high, but it's also really scary (as you'll see from this thread).

All in it together

flowergarden16 · 23/03/2022 13:00

@Sassy144 that's tough, I've found it hard with my friends who are having their second baby / quite far along pregnant but it's fine to feel like that x

Sassy144 · 23/03/2022 12:52

@Frida9 welcome and I'm so sorry. I also lost my first at 6 weeks and am terrified it will happen again. I don't have much advice but I will say that this is a very supportive space and you can share anything here 💛 I also have felt that people think I shouldn't still be upset because it was early, but we all know that isn't true. Grief is grief and it is all valid, no matter when it happened.

Frida9 · 23/03/2022 11:56

Hi, I'm new in this thread. I had a miscarriage last Friday at 6+6 with my first pregnancy. With it being my first I think me and my husband are very worried that this will happen again. It took us 9 months to conceive and I don't know how I'll cope if it's anything like that again. We were almost at the stage of speaking to the GP about fertility investigations but I don't know how long I have to wait for that now.
I know they can't tell me why I miscarried but I have hypermobility in my hips and I'm really worried that my condition has caused this somehow.
My husband has been fantastic with everything that's happened but the rest of my family don't seem to get why I'm upset, it's like they think I was only a few weeks pregnant so it doesn't matter as much.
Just looking to see if anyone here has any advice or anything. Smile

Sassy144 · 23/03/2022 11:43

@arianasky that's wonderful, and great that you're having a break away. I'm doing okay thanks, my sister who got pregnant around the same time as me in Jan has her 12 week scan today so preparing myself for mixed emotions around that 💛

scoutcat · 23/03/2022 11:13

@flowergarden16 That's very good news. I bet you feel relieved.

Skl2021 · 23/03/2022 10:53

@flowergarden16 great news at least u can breathe a little now and they offered progesterone without asking! So happy for you xx

That's good news @scoutcat fingers crossed for you

flowergarden16 · 23/03/2022 10:44

Oh and they prescribed progesterone too without me having to ask. She said it can make a small % difference but anything is worth a shot x

flowergarden16 · 23/03/2022 10:42

Thanks @Tofu35 Thanks

Tofu35 · 23/03/2022 10:41

@flowergarden16 that's good news! I hope this puts your mind at ease xx

flowergarden16 · 23/03/2022 10:38

Hi everyone. Good news. They can see a sac in the right place. No yolk etc yet but she said it's normal at this stage for it to be like that as you don't know when conception happened.

There is some blood in my uterus but that could be from a pervious period and should be re absorbed.

There is a slightly higher risk of miscarriage (she said 30% vs 25% for normal pregnancy) and have to go back on two weeks for another scan to check if it's grown and we see a heartbeat. If not that would be another MMC.

So the best outcome I could have hoped for. Still not out of the woods but at least I don't have to worry about ectopic now which is a relief.

X

scoutcat · 23/03/2022 09:56

Thank you everyone! I can't quite believe it. I've just phone EPAU and need to ring back when I'm 5 weeks so they can book me in for a scan at 6 weeks. Exciting!

@flowergarden16 good luck today! I'm thinking of you!

Skl2021 · 23/03/2022 09:26

@flowergarden16 hope everything goes ok today 💞 xx

@flowergarden16 thinking of you today

arianasky · 22/03/2022 21:02

@Sassy144 I'm good thank you got my 2-3 weeks on a CB digi today, I'm away at the moment so only popping in when I have 2 mins 💕 how are you?

@flowergarden16 sorry you're still in limbo I have everything crossed for your appointment tomorrow 🙏🏻

@scoutcat congratulations! 🎉

flowergarden16 · 22/03/2022 20:01

Thanks @peachiekeen I'm feeling super anxious and stressed tonight expecting the worst (ectopic and surgery) but just glad we might have some answers tomorrow. I'll let you all know

Good news on the cycles sorting out x

peachiekeen · 22/03/2022 18:57

@flowergarden16 it sounds positive that you've progressed on Clearblue. I didn't when I had mine. I really hope everything goes well for you tomorrow lovely.

@scoutcat amazing news :) I've got everything crossed for a sticky bean!

I went to the loo today to discover some blood so I think I'm out of the running. Slight plus side is my cycle may be back to 28/29 days instead of the super long 34/35 days but also means I've had a really short luteal phase as the bleed on Saturday could have been start of AF and that was 7dpo. I wasn't tracking ovulation before I got pregnant so I'm not sure if it's always been like this. Is that a bad thing?

Skl2021 · 22/03/2022 15:13

@scoutcat congrats 💞 yes I would ring asap and see what they say xx
