Hi,

I am new here. I am 42 and ttc baby number 3. I am scared and going into my second month.
Previously no issues falling pregnant but due my age am worried it may no longer happen.
Am looking for any success stories and advice on supplements etc.
Be nice to connect with more mummas. X

Good morning ladies! I am 41 and TTC number 2 after 3 losses. I have a 2y old who I conceived at 37 first time trying. I developed an autoimmune thyroid disease after my pregnancy so have certainly had some challenges. Have a plan now if I fall pregnant again. So now it just needs to happen!! Due period tomorrow and certainly feel it's about to arrive! Good luck to all and congratulations to those pregnant ❤️

LovelyNanny26 · 23/04/2022 20:25

I'm 35 and just found out I'm pregnant with baby no 2 due on the 26th of December.Wishing you all lots of baby dust.x

Beachsidesunset · 23/04/2022 19:59

Currently 22 weeks aged 45. Had a low risk Harmony test result which was a relief! Good luck to everyone here 😀

Everythingzrosie · 22/04/2022 09:23

Congratulations!

May I join your chat?

I’m 44 and thinking of ttc baby number 6 🫣

Expectantmouse · 21/04/2022 19:25

At the grand age of 47 I am pregnant. It doesn't feel real, except for the bloating and slight cramps and I'm trying not to get too excited. There is a long way to go and such early stages yet.
I don't feel at all like a geriatric but I am sure I will get some stick for being pregnant at this age. Is it just me that feels like this?

ttcbecca · 17/03/2022 22:41

Hi all hope you don’t mind me joining. I’m 42 and TTC #2 after 2 miscarriages. Nice to see I’m not the only ‘geriatric’ still trying 🤣 Due my period in a couple of days and getting obsessed with symptom spotting!! Hope everyone doing ok xx

Excited101 · 16/03/2022 10:14

I also had a dream I got spotting, for a good year when I first had my period as a teen, I used to dream the night before that I’d come on. It became so reliable that I was able to pop my San pro in ready the next day.

Excited101 · 16/03/2022 10:05

I woke up with some sharp cramps this morning, they’ve dulled right down but haven’t gone away. I’m between 3 and 5DPO I think (according to symptoms and a calendar!) Could that mean anything?

Excited101 · 15/03/2022 21:30

3DPO and dtd twice in my fertile window... feel totally normal, my god this is a head fuck! 🤪

Thejoyfulstar · 11/03/2022 08:02

@Gabby82 I just ordered the amazon's choice one! I gave then away after I got pregnant so can't remember the name sorry. It was in a black container if that helps!

CCPink15 · 10/03/2022 19:21

@Thejoyfulstar I've started conceive plus fertility and ovulation support vitamins there is 50 mg of CoQ10 in the ovulation tablets per day after 4 vitamins would you recommend a separate higher dose to take along side my other vitamins tia xx

Tinkerbell098 · 10/03/2022 18:38

@Beachsidesunset that's very reassuring. I've just been told by the consultant to lose weight. My BMI is 27.

CCPink15 · 10/03/2022 18:35

@Beachsidesunset thank you so much we put so much pressure on ourselves I need to think more positive appreciate your comment xx

Beachsidesunset · 10/03/2022 18:20

@CCPink15

Hi ladies I'm 35 birthday was Jan 22 I'm also a bigger lady size 22/24 I've already lost nearly 2 stone so far so between my age and being bigger built I've convinced myself I will struggle ttc anyone else a larger lady tia xx
Hi CC, I conceived, carried, birthed and breastfed all three of mine with a BMI of around 40. Currently pregnant with 4th. Every body is different - just be as well as you can be, physically and mentally and you have as good a chance as any of having children. My last midwife was bigger than me and pregnant and says the NHS massively over-exaggerates the negatives of being overweight. Good luck!

@Thejoyfulstar

Congrats OP! That's amazing! For anyone reading this thread, I conceived the little baby sleeping in my arms when I was 38 and had her when I was 39. She was conceived the 2nd month trying.

A poster on the board suggested taking Coenzymeq10 supplements. I immediately noticed a difference in the ovulation week of the second cycle trying, which was successful. I read research which also stated that having 90 days worth of the supplement in your system helps prevent chromosomal abnormalities as it helps everything split properly in the early days. I also saw some research saying that a diet high in plant sources was good for fertility. I honestly stuffed myself full of fruit and veg especially fatty one line avocado.

I thought it would take forever to happen but I really credit the q10 as I knew something was different the month I started taking it.

That's fab, I'm currently dosing myself up on the supplements! Is there a Q10 brand you'd recommend in particular?
Excited101 · 10/03/2022 14:35

I worry about ‘problems’ more because of dp being 55 😔 apparently it’s more common. I’m very much assuming it would take a few months to happen anyway but I would feel so guilty if I had caused an issue by not taking them for longer beforehand!

Thejoyfulstar · 10/03/2022 14:28

@Excited101 i was only taking the q10 for 1 cycle and I got pregnant. My baby is 4 weeks old and just perfect 🥰 itß just always ideal to build give any supplements a longer chance to have an effect but the human race has been doing with without for many years. Dont worry! :-)

Sunnierdays7 · 10/03/2022 14:23

Yes I could do. In past if I miscarry it’s before 6/7 weeks. If no miscarry I get very sick and pregnancy lasts.

Excited101 · 10/03/2022 14:00

That’s a bit of a worry @Thejoyfulstar I’m taking the wellwoman preconception supplements but only for about 1 month so far, will that not be long enough??

Tinkerbell098 · 10/03/2022 13:47

@Sunnierdays7 are you able to get an early scan to put your mind at ease?

Sunnierdays7 · 10/03/2022 13:38

Hi there, I am so scared is miscarriage. I am so early and just praying baby sticks. Am 42. You are blessed 🙏🥰

Hi everybody! Currently pregnant with my 4th at age 45 (had the others at 39, 40 and 43) If 35+ is geriatric then I'm practically archaeological!

Just awaiting the results of the Harmony test (had a low risk NHS result, but still worth double-checking at my age) so fingers crossed for that.

The chance of a natural conception was 3%, and the risk of miscarriage was 55%, so I'm feeling very blessed.

Baby dust to all 🙂
