@theblueflowers I totally get the anxiety, I had to ring the EPU and the GP last week to say I'd miscarried and it was heartbreaking, then I received the antenatal test pack through the post a few days later which made me feel awful. I'd do what you feel would be best for you 💕

aesgriff · 22/02/2022 21:40

@peachiekeen how many DPO are you? If I were you (and this happened to me a few weeks ago) I tested just to put myself out of misery with the ‘is this AF’ xx

@theblueflowers I’m going to be the same as @Skl2021 and pop my referral in past 6 weeks. Maybe on Friday if they say everything is ok. It’s really hard isn’t it xx

@Skl2021 boob twins 🤣 I have been getting stretchy type cramps too. Keep checking every time before I wipe 😢 I don’t think the worry will ever end will it xx

@speake hmmm I had a Google and I think it’s just one blood test rather than one and a repeat after 48 hours. If you go on their website there’s a pink question mark bottom right hand corner which is a live chat. They may be able to help xx

peachiekeen · 22/02/2022 21:28

Sorry - I’m not ignoring previous posts I’m just arms deep in school reports so can’t catch up.

I’m driving myself absolutely mad today. I thought AF had arrived yesterday as had some brown discharge but now only a little bit again today. So now I’m overthinking if I should take a test tomorrow to end my misery and confirm it absolutely is AF or do I continue and just wait with a faint glimmer that it may not be. And then if I do test positive, will I just with riddled with worry that I have spotting again. And will I just be alerting myself to another chemical when I could have been blissfully unaware. FFS. Does this ever get any easier?

Passenger87 · 22/02/2022 21:01

@theblueflowers you should do whatever feels best for you. I can only imagine that it's difficult to navigate.

After a loss so much effort and energy goes into ttc again, then once you do I can only imagine the effort and energy that is consumed trying to stay calm.

Skl2021 · 22/02/2022 20:51

@Cindy974 the booking was pretty boring tbh so still doesn't feel real. Think I need to see a baby on the screen for it to sink in! X

@theblueflowers yes it doesn't ease anxietys but it doesn't stop us doing it 🙊 I totally understand the not wanting to do the booking yet I waited until after 6+ weeks for the same reasons! Xx

@theblueflowers not crazy atall, it’s absolutely heartbreaking having to phone and cancel the appt. Just do whatever you think is best for you & your little bean 🤍

@Cindy974 that’s reassuring that they would prioritise you for a scan based on gestation. Although can see why you’d want a private one in the meantime.

@Skl2021 thank you 🥰 I don’t know why im so set on doing a weeks indicator, I think because if it’s right I’d feel reassured but probably horrendous if it wasn’t.

@calimc83 hope your testing goes well, dh are better not knowing, they’d think we are mad 🙈

Just looking at the medicheck tests and think I’ve interpreted the hcg test wrong, wondering if it’s just one & if I needed to order two and send them 48 hours apart to do it properly. Has anyone else had a look? Xx

theblueflowers · 22/02/2022 20:19

Evening all, just checking in- this thread has moved on fast!
Currently 12dpo and cannot get out of the habit of testing daily and obsessing over line progression. It doesn't even ease the anxiety so no idea why I do it!
I was thinking of waiting till I was 8 weeks to ring the GP for my booking appointment; is that crazy?! I just don't want to go through the heartbreak of having to cancel future appointments (and still get NHS reminder letters 🤨)
I also totally get what people were earlier saying about the fear of scans, I figure if I make it that far along then at least the wait to the scan is much shorter.

Hope you are all doing well! It's exciting that we have some tests coming up 🤞🏻

Cindy974 · 22/02/2022 20:18

@bunnykins123 thank you lovely 💕 it was hard feeling like im jinxing myself but need to get sorted! Hope youre okay x

@Skl2021its strange isn’t it, abit out of the comfort zone and makes it too real! X

calimc83 · 22/02/2022 20:17

@bunnykins123 it was the easy@home 50 for about £8 on Amazon 😂I have so many tests stashed away my DH would kill me if he found out..🙈😂 x

Passenger87 · 22/02/2022 20:15

@calimc83 & @bunnykins123 I think I'll be 7 dpo. Still so early but just can't hold off. Will just use the cheapies and will hold off on frer until sat/Sun xx

Skl2021 · 22/02/2022 20:15

@HoneyLemon29 thanks I have looked at them before for vitamin deficiency tests! Didn't know they did them too xx

@Cindy974 hope your ok! Scary move actually sorting the first appointment I didn't want to do it either 🙊 xx

@speake That's great news that your lines are progressing well 🙌 I stayed well away form the clearblue couldn't handle the anxiety if they don't move to the correct weeks! Xx

@calimc83 we on the daily testing train now 🚂🙊xx

@arianasky thanks 😘 xx

bunnykins123 · 22/02/2022 20:12

@calimc83 just out of interest which did you buy? I've spent an absolute fortune on FRERs 🤦‍♀️

@HoneyLemon29 🙋‍♀️ honestly, my skin is the worst it's been in years but I can't sort it out as nobody will touch you for treatments when TTC 🙄

@Cindy974 well done!! That must actually feel pretty good now you've done it!

@Passenger87 good luck tomorrow - keep us updated! How many DPO will you be?

arianasky · 22/02/2022 20:07

@Skl2021 I'm glad 💕 you do what you feel is best 💕

calimc83 · 22/02/2022 19:50

@bunnykins123 @aesgriff why thank you! 😆😆😆 @arianasky I have another 49 to go...and it was the starkest white ever x

Cindy974 · 22/02/2022 19:45

@speake Im not sure 🤔 I did mention it and she said that if I will get ahead in the queue if I’m further along or something like that, I feel like I want to book another private one in a couple of weeks! How are you doing? X

HoneyLemon29 · 22/02/2022 19:34

A bit off topic but does anyone else get covered with spots during ovulation? I'll be 1DPO and finally in the 2WW tomorrow and between my boobs and on my face I'm having a breakout 🥴

speake · 22/02/2022 19:27

Oh no @Cindy974 that’s such a long time to wait, does that automatically mean your dating scan will be later too by the time they sort that? 😔 xx

speake · 22/02/2022 19:24

@A2331 congratulations, all of us are in the same situation of either ttc, 2ww or pregnant after loss so hopefully you’ll find this group helpful 🌈🤍

@aesgriff I’m only 4.5 weeks so still super early, in Scotland (or my health board anyway) you just ring your GP for an appt so it can be 3/4 weeks before you manage to get one so I am conscious of leaving it late too. Can’t win! I’m keeping everything crossed for you on Friday, you could maybe ask the EPU for a follow up in a couple of weeks whilst you’re there? Worth a try to save yourself £80!

@Skl2021 I’m still testing, I’m 18 dpo now & 4.5 weeks pregnant, the lines have been progressing well so far 🙏🏼🤞🏼 although I have it in my head I want to do a cb digital to make sure it’s at 3+ weeks at the weekend. Never satisfied are we!

@calimc83 4dpo is amazing, imagine you’d got a positive that early you would’ve fallen of your chair haha. Looking forward to some good news from you soon 🙏🏼🤞🏼

Honestly what are we all like with these blood tests! Xxx

Cindy974 · 22/02/2022 19:24

@Skl2021 sorry your midwife appointment wasn’t much help, seems like we just get left to it now 😢 x

Cindy974 · 22/02/2022 19:24

Finally plucked up the courage to register with a midwife and make my booking appointment, they can’t get me in for it until 19th March, which by then ill be 10/11 weeks 🥴🥴

HoneyLemon29 · 22/02/2022 19:11

@Cruz86 I'm so relieved to find this out 😁

HoneyLemon29 · 22/02/2022 19:10

@Skl2021 it turns out there's home blood tests that you can order (finger prick) tests that you send off again that can tell you all sorts fertility related. Medicheck it's called. Including HCG blood tests and 48 hour blood tests. This could be something good for you? To ease your mind with no scan? It's £39 and we have a discount code on the thread posted below x
