@Amber17 thank you! I actually bought them at that price but I feel the internet cheapies may be better for testing everyday and I will then save the FRER in case I see a faint line (here’s hoping) Smile

Amber17 · 08/04/2022 11:30

@nypie Temp went up this morning!

@OCM19 Amazon have got FRER 2packs down to less than £6 today - still so pricy for a thing to pee on but seemed like a good deal!

FourOclock · 08/04/2022 10:44

@Nypie you are so organised! Sounds like a great plan of attack (wish I was as patient as you Grin)

OCM19 · 08/04/2022 10:37

@Nypie What a great plan! I love making a good plan, just never seem to have the time to follow up through!

@DanceWithYourBalloon I'm 11DPO, negative test this morning so will see if af shows her face this weekend. How are you feeling?

I've bought some internet cheapie tests as I think I'm becoming a POAS addict and the FRER's are too expensive to waste every time! Grin

Dreamingof3 · 08/04/2022 10:33

@Nypie you sounds super organised!

I'm edging closer to when we're going to try and still not done much 😅 I'm taking folic acid and tracking my cycles, plus trying to lose weight.

Currently dying, a horrible sinus infection and easter holidays 😟

Nypie · 08/04/2022 00:23

@hopingforanothermiracle2022 ah mid honeymoon sounds perfect! Would have loved to tried on our hol..but zika destination so long wait for me. How long did you wait for number 1?

@Amber17 why thank you ;). It's so hard coming of contraception and not knowing what your new normal is. I'm not too familiar with the implant but I asume like other hormone contraception its not abnormal for your body to take a few months to regulate. I didnt track my first month coming off the pill but I did ovulate the 2nd month going off temp and opks.

I would say your body tried to ovulate but possibly didn't so don't be suprise if you get another surge and your left with a longer cycle than normal. Anything goes. Doesnt mean you won't be able to get pregnant so soon but might have to do a few opks or dtd regularly

Amber17 · 07/04/2022 23:11

@nypie Sounds like a plan!
I'm hoping to try next cycle - this one I'm trying to figure out what on earth my body is doing! Had a positive OPK at CD13, negative since, some ewcm today (CD17) but stilll no temp rise to confirm ovulation. This is my first proper cycle after getting my implant out but the gap between the LH surge and evidence of having ovulated is a bit longer than seems reasonable?

hopingforanothermiracle2022 · 07/04/2022 23:04

@Nypie I'm getting married mid May and honeymooning straight after. If my cycle works as currently predicted then I'll ovulate mid honeymoon. That's the initial plan for trying for baby number 2 but after that who knows just DTD as much as possible and 🤞🏻

Nypie · 07/04/2022 22:31

Its quiet in here! Those who TTC date are in the future what are you doing to prepare??

I have a roadmap 😂😂
This month exercise and eat healthy (I've overhauled my diet and started meal prepping). May=stress managment and increase my water intake which is poor. Want to start yoga and maybe acupuncture. June = vitamins. I'm thinking folic acid and vitamin E. July= bloody building. My periods have been so light since coming off the pill last August I'm a bit scared it will affect my fertility. August = man prepping. Time to stress him out with vitamins and such 😂. September = baby making and focus on relationship.

Anyone else lost it???

Dreamingof3 · 07/04/2022 07:34

@erhsla14 hi! I use a few apps 🤣 but flo is a good one. I used that when trying for my second, although I since realised I ovulate later in my cycle than it predicted.
I'm currently just taking folic acid. Good luck! Hopefully we'll be helpful along your journey

@dancewithyourballoon oooh exciting 🤩

DanceWithYourBalloon · 06/04/2022 22:57

@OCM19 oh no! Norovirus is horrid! I had Covid last cycle and I don't think I ovulated as I normally feel it. But I am knocking on a bit! 😂
I'm going to test on Saturday with my fresh pack of internet cheapies! What about you?

OCM19 · 06/04/2022 22:47

Hi ladies and welcome to the new joiners, lovely to read your stories 👋!

Sorry I’ve been so quiet, we’ve had the dreaded norovirus and my son has also been unwell so have just caught up with all your posts.

@DanceWithYourBalloon @lj2022 I’m also in the TWW, will be 10DPO tomorrow but also CD30 tomorrow as I think Covid made me ovulate later. How are you guys feeling? I’m not holding out much hope for this cycle but will see if I ovulate late again next cycle. When are you going to test?

Hope everyone is ok. X

TheOnlyException1 · 06/04/2022 21:51

@lj2022 I'm only in week 5 right now - it has honestly gone so slowly since getting BFP a week ago! Doing okay, was really emotional and down last week but feeling much better now! I am getting quite nauseous, especially I'm the mornings and evenings, but no actual sick yet (hopefully it stays that way!)

@FourOclock Whoop, 9 weeks! Good luck at your first appointment! Glad to hear you're feeling a little better anyway ☺️

@LucyLoopyLu No worries, I hope it works out for you soon! x

@erhsla14 Welcome! I'm 29 and newly pregnant with #1! So I was taking seven seas preconception pills for about a month before ttc, which have folic acid in them, and used an app called Flo (I don't have the premium one, just the free version!) which I only installed about a month before ttc as well. It predicted my fertile window/ovulation really well, although I did put in the info for my last 6 months of periods (which I tracked on Fitbit anyway) to give it something to work with! I will say I hadn't been on any kind of birth control for the last 4 years, as I was getting migraines and deemed at risk, so I can't help much there! Buy I hope that is useful :)

erhsla14 · 06/04/2022 21:31

Hi everyone, first time posting. I'm 30 and have been on the pill for 12 years - just come off last month and TTC for #1.

Please can someone give me the lowdown on tips/what you're all doing re: pills (I know I'll need folic acid and I think have low vitamin B12) and apps re: ovulation etc?

I don't want to stress about it (I'm sure nobody does!) but plan to try and take it easy for the first few months at least. I have no idea what my cycles will be like off the pill and there's endometriosis in the family so slightly worried about that too so would like to optimise my chances with TTC pills/apps and anything else I should know about?

Good luck to everyone TTC and pregnant!

LucyLoopyLu · 06/04/2022 21:00

@TheOnlyException1 thanks for your reply and advice, I feel like three times in the fertile week is more achievable than the NHS website- every 2-3 days throughout the cycle. I'm 100% sure that won't be happening 😶

Dreamingof3 · 06/04/2022 18:35

@WingingIt09 makes sense! I'm not too worried about due dates as long as we avoid summer 🤣

I fully intend to make the most of the all inclusive bar!

Looks like we might end up trying at the same time

WingingIt09 · 06/04/2022 18:31

And I can understand not wanting to be newly pregnant on a child free holiday! You want to be able to enjoy the drinks!

OP posts:
WingingIt09 · 06/04/2022 18:29

@Dreamingof3 yes I do, we return from holiday on 12th May (funnily enough when AF is due). Reasoning for not trying if my AF moves earlier than 12th May though is to avoid the risk of baby arriving at the end of Jan. 12th May would give a due date far enough into Feb chances of baby arriving end if Jan would be low (particularly as neither of my DDs arrived early!)

OP posts:
Dreamingof3 · 06/04/2022 18:27

@WingingIt09 you go away in May as well don't you? Such a pain 🤣 part of me thinks just sod it because how likely is it to happen first time? But then what if it does, j don't want to go on my first child free holiday newly pregnant

WingingIt09 · 06/04/2022 18:00

@Dreamingof3 you can just DTD lots on holiday anyway, might get lucky! Atm my AF is due 16th April and then 12th May, so will be starting after 12th May. One of my apps is now saying 13th April for next AF though (which would be a 23 day cycle so hoping not) and if my cycle moves any further forward then I can't start trying in May... fingers crossed that doesn't happen!

OP posts:
Dreamingof3 · 06/04/2022 17:35

@WingingIt09 currently 9th May and we go away on the 14th 😬 but that's if its a 37 day cycle again like this one. There's a good chance it'll be less though. The one before this was 52 days so still settling after the pill.

I'm hoping it'll work out so I'm due to ovulate on holiday....although i don't think I'll bother taking tests 🤔

WingingIt09 · 06/04/2022 17:24

@FourOclock can't believe you're 9 weeks already! Exciting you've got your first appointment coming up!

@Dreamingof3 that's a shame! When's your next AF due now?

OP posts:
Dreamingof3 · 06/04/2022 12:31

@fouroclock 9 weeks already 🤩

I thought we'd be trying this cycle but it looks like it'll have to be the next one instead due to when my holiday falls

FourOclock · 06/04/2022 12:22

I've got my first appointment on Monday when I'll be 9 weeks! But yeah it's usually between 8-10 weeks I think, my others have been at 8 weeks.

@lj2022 I'm doing okay thank you! I've had a rough few weeks in all honesty, but today I've woken up feeling a bit more human and able to function thankfully, hoping the nausea and exhaustion is easing a little!

lj2022 · 06/04/2022 12:08

@FourOclock how are you keeping also ? Hope you're doing well
