Hi @tanners22 I'm also trying to lose a few pounds ...unsuccessfully 😅 just started couch to 5k and I'm trying to just cut out unnecessary eating 😬

I don't think you necessarily need to do ovulation tests etc it probably depends on how much ypu want to know if you're at the right point in your cycle. I'm doing then this time because I think I ovulate slightly later in my cycle than average and have also given myself a small window to conceive 😂

Today my first real post pill period has arrived 🥳 so I'm taking it as a positive thing as its one less period until we start trying and also starting to get back to a more normal cycle, I hope!

The cramps though 😫

NarnieJoy · 25/02/2022 10:27

Hi @Tanners22 welcome! There are a few ladies also trying to get a few pounds off, I’m doing running and no snacks. Planning to track my cycles for the moment through bbt and then practice tracking ov in June before we start in July. Just looked at my apps today and it’s predicting I’ll be in my FW first week of July, which would be a lot of pressure!

Tanners22 · 25/02/2022 08:35

Morning ladies, we've decided we are going to start trying in July and I can't tell you how excited I am. I've just turned 35 and my partner is 49. He has a 20 year old so initially it was 'nope I don't want anymore'. After 5 years together he's changed his mind 😁

I have started multivitamins and trying to shift a few pounds in readiness but I'll be honest all this ovulation tracking etc is a little daunting. Any tips or advice are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance ❤️

HippeePrincess · 24/02/2022 23:00

Didn’t wait I mean, just carried on, although in hindsight a break might have been better for my body

HippeePrincess · 24/02/2022 22:58

@Beautyangel1 no I didn’t

Beautyangel1 · 24/02/2022 21:42

@HippeePrincess I mean did you wait for your period to come? Or did you start trying before it came?

Dreamingof3 · 24/02/2022 21:42

That's a good way of looking at it! I think u have 4 left 😆

HippeePrincess · 24/02/2022 19:03

@Beautyangel1 sorry for your loss, mine cycle went immediately back to normal so no need to wait to track.

@WingingIt09 great news, I bet it felt like an age waiting!

Exciting @Vasectomyreversalhopeful , how do you feel having shared your ttc plans with real life people?

WingingIt09 · 24/02/2022 18:14

@NoirAustral welcome. I've waited 7.5 weeks for my first bleed after coming off my pill. Hopefully yours doesn't take that long!

@NarnieJoy that's a good way to look at it - doesn't sound that long when you count it like that. I've got max 3 to go, maybe less depending on how long my cycles are now.

@Vasectomyreversalhopeful that's exciting to have the logistics sorted!

NarnieJoy · 24/02/2022 15:06

Counting down the periods, 4 left to go! This is the first month I’ve felt not too sad when my period came because 4 periods seems not that many to go.

NoirAustral · 24/02/2022 11:35

Hey everyone! Hope you’re all well.

I stopped taking the mini-Pill around two weeks ago. No withdrawal bleed yet… Fingers crossed I can start testing mid-March (unless the withdrawal bleed comes before that!) Smile

hevann · 24/02/2022 11:16

@WingingIt09 🥳🥳

Dreamingof3 · 24/02/2022 10:55

@WingingIt09 finally 🥳🤣

Vasectomyreversalhopeful · 24/02/2022 08:07

Sorry you are out this month Queen but fingers crossed for this cycle!

So sorry for your loss Beauty Flowers

Great news winging!

We finally sorted out the logistics for the reversal. ILs are going to do all the driving in one day as DH wants to be in his own bed after rather than a hotel. ILs say they will do anything if there is the possibility of another grandchild. SIL has recently announced that she doesn't want to have children and BIL is showing no interest at present.

WingingIt09 · 23/02/2022 23:10

@QueenBee22 sorry to hear that. Sending hugs! Fingers crossed for next month for you

@Beautyangel1 I'm so sorry for your loss. I started tracking ovulation once bleeding had stopped when I miscarried my second pregnancy at 6 weeks. My cycles came back very quickly and I ovulated 3 weeks after miscarriage (counting first day of bleeding as day 1)

In other news.... FINALLY got my period. DH thinks I'm barmy as it's the first time ever I've been happy to see my period 😂 7.5 weeks since I came off the pill. Going to start to track and hopefully will ovulate this cycle and things will get back to normal!

Beautyangel1 · 23/02/2022 22:40

Hi all.

When do you start tracking ovulation after a miscarriage.

Do I have to wait until my next period and then start tracking after that? I'm thinking of using the clear blue ovulation tests.

Thanks in advance x

HippeePrincess · 23/02/2022 22:38

Hopefully soon @QueenBee22, I’ve a feeling I’ll regret waiting too

NarnieJoy · 23/02/2022 22:34

@QueenBee22 sorry it didn’t work out this month sending lots of good vibes 🤗

QueenBee22 · 23/02/2022 21:28

Hope ye are all doing well ladies. I am now out for this month really hoping now next month will work out.

I am sorry we didn't start trying months ago. Good luck to anyone waiting to test in February. Hope ye got BFP! @Nyxxie @FourOclock @PinkButtercups. I can't tag the other February users for some reason.

HippeePrincess · 23/02/2022 21:12

I’ve got 6 weeks worth of contraceptive rings and then I’ll come off it, as we were thinking we might not be ready (we won’t be) id considered using the mini pills I have left but I’m getting nervous that my cycle will take time to return and regulate so if we need to prevent in April I think we will use the dreaded condoms. I’ll start cycle tracking then too.

Nyxxie · 23/02/2022 20:54

It's my first cycle properly trying and I decided to use OPKs after reading a lot about them on here. Glad I did as it has given me more confidence that we have DTD at the best possible times. Got my peak yesterday and all other signs point to ov today, so will be keeping my fingers crossed over the next couple of weeks!

Duckandsarah · 23/02/2022 19:41

I have just started my period so am going to do a full cycle of temping, opks and cervical fluid tracking so I know where I’m at. Then I’ll stop tracking everything but cervical fluid.

Oddly, before DD, I used to ovulate quite late (day 18-19) and have a short luteal phase but now I ovulate day 14 and appear to have a textbook 28 day cycle. So weird.

NarnieJoy · 23/02/2022 18:24

I’m thinking I’ll do OPKs a cycle before we try, I’ve got a hunch I ovulate pretty randomly between 9-14, so it would be a shame to miss if it’s earlier. Going to take the guesswork out though and try my friends CB advanced digital thing probably when we start proper

Worryant · 23/02/2022 08:05

@Superstorefan123 I was reluctant to use OPKs, it’s only my second trying cycle this month and I thought they might make me obsessive! But when last month didn’t happen, and being a bit older I tried them this month. I’m glad I did as they’re showing I’m ovulating later in my cycle than I would have thought. My period tracker app was giving me the standard day 14 O day but sticks are showing my peak is due this evening or tomorrow morning which would be CD 18/19. Last month we’d stopped regularly DTD too early for me to catch unless I was really lucky so for me it’s given me a real insight. Understand they’re not for everyone, just my experience they’ve been useful for me.

FourOclock · 23/02/2022 06:30

Had horrible dreams last night that I started spotting etc so woke up this morning telling myself let's just assume I'm not pregnant. Then mentioned to DH I was feeling a bit crap and he said 'maybe it's the baby in your belly growing?!' really excitedly. Which has made me feel a lot better at least, only because he did need a bit of persuading for number 3 and has mentioned a few times he's been over thinking it all. I was getting slightly worried he was changing his mind so it's nice to know at least he's excited!
