@DanceWithYourBalloon oh no sorry to hear that. How are you feeling? Xx

OCM19 · 27/02/2022 20:56

Welcome @TheOnlyException1. We had this discussion about December and not sure tbh.

I’m really not sure what’s going on this cycle, I’m CD19 tomorrow and have been getting flashing smilies since CD14 but no ovulation yet. Last cycle I ovulated on CD18 and only had a 28 days cycle so I’m thinking this one may be a little longer?

What’s the latest you’ve ovulated? I have a feeling we will be out this month as I’ve totally mis-judged my fertile window i think! Xx

DanceWithYourBalloon · 27/02/2022 20:54

I've got Covid now. I wonder if it will interfere with this cycle? I suppose I just have to wait and see.

I conceived after 4 months with first DC and first cycle with second. I also had a chemical at Christmas so who knows! 🤷🏻‍♀️

tryingtryinggone · 27/02/2022 20:14

@TheOnlyException1 I’m avoiding my next cycle as the due date would be a week or so after Christmas and tbh December is already crazy enough with birthdays so I’d really rather wait. I know the chances of getting pregnant the first cycle are slim but if we were to try it would probably end up happening that month! Haha

WingingIt09 · 27/02/2022 19:25

Welcome @TheOnlyException1 I use Fertility Friend and always been pretty happy with it.

@lj2022 I'm sorry to hear that. Hope you are feeling better now?

We are carrying on regardless. Already have one DC with a birthday within 2 weeks of Christmas, and another 2 weeks after that. We might stop trying to avoid a July/August birthday if it comes to that but to be honest if I'm not pregnant by then I probably won't want to skip a few months trying!

lj2022 · 27/02/2022 17:07

Hope everyone's doing well tried your catch up on this thread but I've not been on in a while as I've not been well! Let's hope for our first BFP on this thread in March 🤞🤞

TheOnlyException1 · 27/02/2022 12:49

@FourOclock thanks! That's the one I've started using, not sure how accurate it is for me just yet!

Not sure whether to keep ttc next cycle, as it would mean a due date of a week before Christmas, but DH is very much in the what's meant to happen will happen mindset, and I think we're unlikely to get lucky first month of trying anyway! But it would make life a bit more complicated! Is everyone else carrying on or avoiding a Christmas due date?

FourOclock · 27/02/2022 11:31

Hello @TheOnlyException1! I'm using the Flo app. Exciting for you!

TheOnlyException1 · 27/02/2022 10:30

Hi everyone! First post here, so apologies I don't know all the acronyms etc. I'd love to join this group, I feel like DH and I are going in full of excitement but with very little knowledge Hmm

DH and I are both 29, been married 5 years, and decided to start ttc this month, although I think we missed the fertile window in Feb, according to the apps (which do you all use, if any?). So this month has very likely not happened! I've been taking the prenatal vitamins for the last 2 weeks as well :)

The kinda scary part of the journey for us at the moment is that both sets of parents live 500 miles away, at the opposite end of the UK, so we're going to have to figure a lot out!

Anyway love to meet you all!

WingingIt09 · 26/02/2022 21:30

@OCM19 thanks! That's exciting that you're almost at ovulation, get DTD! Hopefully your plans the next few weeks will keep you from testing too early xx

Morning all, just checking in as I’ve not been on the thread recently. How’s everyone doing? @WingingIt09 great news about AF!

I’m due to ovulate any day now, CD17 but still flashing smileys. I’m going to be extremely busy I’ve the next few weeks so hoping I won’t be tempted to test like last month during the TWW!

Welcome to all the new members, can’t wait to see some BFP’s Smile

DanceWithYourBalloon · 26/02/2022 09:13

@FourOclock
With both of my pregnancies I didn't have any symptoms until around 6 weeks. I just felt like my period was coming both times. Nature is a joker!

I think I'm technically in the two week wait now depending on which app I use.

FourOclock · 26/02/2022 06:33

Although I have had to really concentrate to not throw up this morning... But I think I've said before, with previous pregnancies I had no symptoms at all, pregnancy or PMT wise the two times I was actually pregnant. (I get terrible PMT)
And I've had tender boobs since a few days after ovulation which is why I'm sceptical

FourOclock · 26/02/2022 06:29

Thank you Smile I don't feel like this is our month but no way to know really! Will wait and see!

Dreamingof3 · 25/02/2022 22:38

Keeping all my fingers crossed @FourOclock

WingingIt09 · 25/02/2022 22:04

@FourOclock fingers crossed for you! Keep us posted!

@LucyLoopyLu not sure we have, looking forward to the first one...

LucyLoopyLu · 25/02/2022 20:22

Thanks for the sympathy!

@amber17 getting exciting now!

@fouroclock good luck, keep us posted!

Have we had any BFPs on the thread yet?

FourOclock · 25/02/2022 17:36

I am hopefully testing soon, I would normally get some spotting 3ish days before my period so I might take a first response next Thursday/Friday if no spotting by then 😬 (period due Sunday)

WingingIt09 · 25/02/2022 17:10

@Tanners22 welcome the the thread :)

@LucyLoopyLu that's frustrating, hopefully you get an appointment soon!

How are the ladies actively trying getting on? Anyone testing soon? Xx

OP posts:
FourOclock · 25/02/2022 17:01

Oh Lucy that's so frustrating

Amber17 · 25/02/2022 15:27

Hi @Tanners22 - welcome :)

My implant is out! Natural Cycles has been downloaded, the OPK strips have arrived. I’m all set. (Still hoping for a May BFP and not before, just tracking to check when ovulation is after so long on hormones)

LucyLoopyLu · 25/02/2022 15:18

@wingingit09 great news, so pleased for you.

At this rate I wish I was on the pill. I managed to book an appointment to get my coil removed at the local family planning clinic for 30th March. However now just found out today that the most important work meeting ever is scheduled for that day which I can't miss. Trying to get a new appointment and I might be waiting a long time as can't get through to them on the phone. I have also tried my GP (I tried there first) but I have rung my GP three times trying to get an appointment and they just keep saying they will ring me back and then don't. Latest today was they will ring me back but it will likely be Wednesday next week. Whhhhyyyy.

LucyLoopyLu · 25/02/2022 15:12

Hi @tanners22 welcome to the thread

Tanners22 · 25/02/2022 12:34

@NarnieJoy @Dreamingof3
Thanks ladies much appreciated.
I think because of the age we both are I want to conceive as soon as possible so knowing exactly when I'm ovulating will hopefully give us the best chance, fingers crossed.
Half a stone down and another half to go so at least I know I'm physically in a good place. Off to the doctors for a full mot next month too, just to make sure we're both fit and healthy.
It's exciting isn't it knowing that you this to look forward to. How are you both finding things?Xx
