@alwaysseeingstars is this our 3rd BFP?? Congratulations fingers tightly crossed for your bean. Remind me of your journey pleasee I have a brain like a goldfish.

And good luck @babyjellyfish

Seems we all have infertility worries I'm trying not to go there just will try to be as healthy and stress free as possible

alwaysseeingstars · 24/03/2022 15:59

@OCM19 it's not a cheap option compared to buying OPK's, but I can recommend the Medicheck test to see if you've ovulated (think it's called the Progesterone Ovulation Test), around £30... I wasn't sure if I ovulated (never have been sure and spent so long without periods due to BC) so to put my mind at rest I ordered that. This confirmed I had ovulated, which made me feel SO much better!!

Also as of this morning I've had a BFP at 13DPO Grin

@Worryant @FourOclock hope you're both doing OK..

dearhummingbirds · 24/03/2022 15:44

@Jennifer89 you sound like me and my partner Grin
I don’t think there is a right time. There will always be a holiday or an event. Or Covid! Unless it was a massive life change, I’d just stay the course.

babyjellyfish · 24/03/2022 15:30

@OCM19 Thanks, I'm just glad everything is starting up again.

Feeling surprisingly good about TTC again, even though last time it was an absolute horror show.

OCM19 · 24/03/2022 15:24

@babyjellyfish that’s great news, you must be so relieved 😌

I feel a bit anxious today. It’s my second cycle of not knowing if I’m ovulating or not. I’m using a different brand of OPK from last month so am getting a bit worried. DH is being very supportive but I just hate this feeling of uncertainty. I know it’s not been long on the TTC journey and that doesn’t bother me, I just worry about secondary infertility.

babyjellyfish · 24/03/2022 15:10

I am 12 DPO (first postpartum ovulation) and just started spotting today (first postpartum period).

We are officially on for TTC in April!

hevann · 24/03/2022 14:12

@Worryant I'm sorry to hear you had a scare. So glad everything is ok & you got to hear bubbas heartbeat. Lots of virtual hugs & to @FourOclock hope your nausea passes quickly. xx

OCM19 · 24/03/2022 14:05

@Worryant sorry to hear you had a scare, but very reassuring your EPU were able to find the heartbeat. Sending lots of hugs xx

Jennifer89 · 24/03/2022 13:30

@Worryant sorry to hear that. Hope everything is ok?

Nypie · 24/03/2022 12:31

@Worryant aw thank you for the support it means a lot. I'm trying to think about all the things I have right now which is a lot. You heard a heartbeat at 5 +6! What a strong bubba have everything crossed for this little one can't wait to be a cyber aunt! 😂😂

HeathenPlayingHouse · 24/03/2022 12:26

AF turned up this morning so my cycle reduced from 77 to 69 days lol.

OH is hesitant to TTC this cycle since the due date would be right between Christmas and New Year, but we wouldn't be unhappy if it happened either so I guess we're NTNP for this cycle.

Jennifer89 · 24/03/2022 12:20

@PrettyPolly92 sounds promising if your dh talks about when you have kids. Why do you think he might not be ready?
I have noticed that I prepare more e.g. already looking up baby items to buy etc more than dh but then I wonder if that is just a typical men thing, they generally aren't as organised. I have also heard that men can't fully visualise being a father until it happens.
Me and dh most likely will ttc from May now instead of April as he has eye operation due in April. But I am even wondering we have trip to Germany planned in July and worried will feel unwell is pregnant and also his brother in law's wedding in October so wouldn't them to feel baby news is distracting if we are pregnant before then.
It'a difficult because stuff always comes up in life so when is perfect time too ttc. Not sure can ever be a perfect time lol.

FourOclock · 24/03/2022 12:07

I haven't actually been sick yet but the nausea is unreal, I can barely stomach anything now which is why I just want to lay down and sleep so much. I had awful sickness with my first all the way through but my second wasn't too bad at all really

Worryant · 24/03/2022 10:20

Thanks so much everyone. This is such a lovely group. @Nypie I’m 6+4 from dates but measurements yesterday put me at 5+6, this would exactly fit when my opk had me ovulating so actually reassuring it’s measuring smaller as it matches my dates.
Sorry to hear you’re having a rough time @FourOclock - is your sickness getting very bad? Have you had it in previous pregnancies? X

FourOclock · 24/03/2022 08:25

Oh @Worryant what a worrying time for you. So pleased you heard the heartbeat though! How are you doing today?

I am struggling so much at the moment. I was doing okay and then yesterday I had to lay down for the whole day, could barely concentrate on anything. I have the kids at home all day today so hoping today is an easier day.

Brightonbelle87 · 23/03/2022 22:57

@Worryant oh no! Thank god everything is OK, that must have been so nerve-wracking. Hopefully you can take it easy for the next few days, sending lots of good vibes your way

dearhummingbirds · 23/03/2022 22:02

@Worryant sorry to hear about your day :( glad to hear everything is ok!

Nypie · 23/03/2022 21:45

@Worryant yes for the heartbeat! Thats amazing how many weeks are you? I'm sorry you're still feeling anxious it seems the anxiety never stops and that is every part of being a mum! But baby is doing fine in the here and now and thats amazing.

lj2022 · 23/03/2022 21:42

@Worryant I'm so sorry to hear you had a scare today! Hoping the scan has helped you a little bit I can only imagine how anxious you must be feeling. Hope you're taking it easy for a few days to try feel better after what must have been a tough day

Worryant · 23/03/2022 20:55

Thanks @Brightonbelle87 - I actually had a bit of a worrying day. I had a bleed this morning so had to go to EPU. They scanned me and saw a heartbeat which is great but my anxiety has increased a lot.

Have been thinking of everyone managing Covid/unwanted AF/waiting to try - feels like all parts of this process are a worry sometimes! Hope it’s your month soon, I don’t know much about epilepsy, I’m really sorry but anything that adds a complication must make it stressful. X

Brightonbelle87 · 23/03/2022 20:43

Sorry to hear you're tired and feeling nauseous @FourOclock and @Worryant, but it's a good sign in that you're both definitely pregnant! So exciting.

Some AFs arriving too, mine is due in about a week but not going to do the clear blue 6 days early test because it'll just piss me off! And they're really expensive?! Also no signs yet - feel like a right weirdo actually wanting my boobs to hurt! Confused

@OCM19 Hope you feel better this week and can start to get back to normal. Seems like everyone is getting it atm

My DH was a bit nervous about trying too, but we started last year and we're still trying. So the lesson I learnt was even when you're ready you may have to wait! I'm 35 now and I have epilepsy and so every few months any pregnancy risks getting that little bit more complicated. Obviously you both need to be on board though, don't want another bridgerton event! Poor Regé...Blush

Nypie · 23/03/2022 20:35

@LucyLoopyLu aw thank you I was good until I went on facebook 😂😂 now feeling somewhat sorry for myself. But our date is September and the bub will be worth the wait.
Loving your relaxed attitude. Try to stay as stress free as possible! Enjoy your hol DTD as soon as posible. Enjoy the process. You've got this!

LucyLoopyLu · 23/03/2022 19:56

@lj2022 - I can't see it happening in the days leading up to our hol either to be honest, busy and I'm away with work.
Tbf I'm not too bothered about getting pg first cycle as we have another holiday booked with family at the end of April so would be a shame not to be able to drink for that!
I'm not using anything except tracking my period and EWCM in an app.
If I do 3/4 months no joy I might start using OPKs but I usually only get EWCM one or two days a month so should be fairly obvious when my fertile time is even though I have irregular(ish) cycles - they range between 28-32 days although have had a couple of outliers in the past year - one 26 and one 35 - but I think those are down to covid jab and taking prenatal vitamins respectively, rather than anything to worry about

lj2022 · 23/03/2022 19:47

@LucyLoopyLu oh hope you're going somewhere lovely! Remember you don't need to have sex the day of ovulation the days leading up are just as effective! Are you tracking or just using an app?

LucyLoopyLu · 23/03/2022 18:54

@nypie hope you're ok!

Feeling a bit nervous about TTC now it's actually more real... although my app is saying I will likely ovulate next Thurs which is the first day of our holiday- if so will definitely be missing that fertile window as we are travelling all day that day, getting up at 2.30 for the airport etc so no chance of a quickie 😄
Not sure how accurate that will be though as my cycles are not regular
