Really really hoping a December baby is the one. Anyone else?

Hi, hope its ok to join as gutted that AF arrived a day or two early even! Does anyone else's cycle length vary each month? Really hoping we'll get our little December penguin-baby this month :)
Wondering if I should try tracking temp this month but no idea where to start with it all!

Iā€™ve missed some of this thread as been away since Friday but Iā€™m here on CD3 and ready to get trying for baby #2. Canā€™t decide whether to use OPKs this month or take a break.

@BiscuitLover3678 after I miscarried in April I started to track fertility with OPKs and log everything into my iPhone. I used the easy@home sticks not the clear blue ones though. I had 3 high days but no peak. And a shorter AF. So I'm assuming I didn't ovulate. But who knows. I found the short AF weird too but it never happened again and I got actual really dark peaks since June.

Also first day was really heavy. Maybe I didnā€™t properly ovulate though.

Thatā€™s really weird! How did you work out you hadnā€™t ovulated? Only thing is Iā€™m pretty sure I got static smileys on those ov sticks. Who knows. Iā€™ll see if Af suddenly comes back of something! šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

I would agree with @Bubblesandballoons on the short AF. I didn't ovulate in June and had a 3 day cycle xx @BiscuitLover3678

It just seems to mess the cycle up, guessing to do with hormones, whereas my 7 week miscarriage before these two chemicals didnā€™t, which I find weird. The only time I ever had short periods was when Iā€™m sure I didnā€™t ovulate and it was more a bleed than my period if that makes sense. They were just after I had my implant out. Did your period come early? Could it of been implantation bleeding?

A bit odd but what does is mean if your periods really short? Confused think itā€™s over already and Iā€™m day 3. Normally itā€™s 5 days and v light on day 5. On day 3 and nothing all day!

10th or 11th via different apps. Tbh it hasnā€™t worked on ovulation day so far so who knows!

Iā€™m sorry, I donā€™t know how chemical affects it but I know it could change it all.

I hope you have good months and can maybe just DTD when feels right and if it happens, it happens. Thatā€™s what we sort of did month before last after lots of illness. Didnā€™t work for us but Iā€™ve known a number of babies be born that way!

@BiscuitLover3678 I used to have 28 day cycles, so day 14 which would be the 11th, this last one after the chemical was 31 days tho, with ovulation about day 19, which would be 20th, so basically I have no idea šŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø. When are you expected to ovulate?

@BiscuitLover3678 I normally ovulate day 13 which I think would be 8 March but no doubt covid will mess my cycles up šŸ™„ the gift that keeps giving

Hey everyone. Moving over here too after a depressing last cycle. I'm not even sure we'll try again either this month OH was mumbling about a vasectomy after seeing me so unwell last week. But we DTD today with no protection so šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø
I personally would love a December baby but can't even bear doing OPK testing this month.

I thought once periods were back itā€™s meant to be fine, but Iā€™m wondering if the hormones from breastfeeding are affecting things, altho plenty seem to get pregnant when breastfeeding šŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø

Another thing is I am still breastfeeding, mostly at night and just a small amount but itā€™s definitely still happening. My periods are pretty regular so I thought it shouldnā€™t be affecting ovulation but maybe it is in some way?

And good luck! I think mine is a similar age to yours. I had hoped the sleep would improve but it seems they are still very up and down. Good luck for this month.

I think Iā€™ll be pretty gutted if this month doesnā€™t work again!
