I'm sorry to hear that @Mummyme87 :(
I really hope this cycle is the one for you 💜

Mummyme87 · 04/03/2022 12:38

AF arrived today! 24day cycle this month, was 25 the month prior, I’m usually 26 days. So I definitely ovulated earlier, maybe CD11 instead of 13. Very odd. Anyway, I’m fine, I get a bit of a sigh of relief once it comes, like I know where I am for the next couple of weeks

Chantal90 · 04/03/2022 10:47

@HoneyLemon29 That's reassuring, thank you! We moved across the country since my surgery so I'm going to be calling a different EPAU, probably worrying over nothing.
It's rotten that chances of it happening again go up after one ectopic. Doesn't feel fair, although I do try not to think about it that way...

HoneyLemon29 · 04/03/2022 10:34

@Chantal90 I'm sorry to hear about your ectopic 🥺
Yes the EPAU is actually joint to the ward I had surgery and they said to me if I fall pregnant again to call them straight away. The sooner the monitor the better chances of catching it early and having better treatment to save the tube 💜 because chemical happen most the time before 4 weeks they've advised I wait until my periods due date then they start the bloods asap until they're high enough to scan x

Chantal90 · 04/03/2022 10:11

Hi Everyone!
I hope you don’t mind me joining. I had an ectopic pregnancy which ruptured my left Fallopian tube in October 2021 and I’m currently back on the TTC wagon.
I’m both terrified of conceiving and not conceiving (if that makes sense!)

@HoneyLemon29 congrats on your bfp! Do you mind me asking were the epau good when you called them? It sounds silly but I’m worried about having to advocate for all the tests and scans etc…
I hope it’s all good news for you ☺️

HoneyLemon29 · 04/03/2022 10:05

Thank you everyone, I've peed on the last stick I have (may as well have it was there) 😅
8dpo
9dpo and 10dpo
I've also rang EPAU and they want me in next week when my periods due to start monitoring HCG.
🤞 everything's okay 😮‍💨💜

Congratulations @HoneyLemon29 super exciting for you.

Sometimes it is just bad luck having an ectopic, there are risk factors, prev CS, prev abdominal surgery, pregnancy with coil in situ etc

LJF234 · 03/03/2022 15:49

@NewtoTTC87
My doctor said similar about the causes of ectopic, basically one of those things that just happens but certainly doesn't make it easier!
Good luck with the TWW, as you say you've done all you can now🤞🤞

LJF234 · 03/03/2022 15:28

@HoneyLemon29 congratulations!! Got everything crossed for you for the next few weeks, I know it'll be a nervy time but try to keep yourself busy to stay distracted.
@MrsL2021 welcome! You're definitely in the right place here, sounds like we are in a very similar boat, I've just started trying again last month after an ectopic in late November. Im also just taking folic acid.
Ditto trying to find causes for the ectopic, I went out and bought new work trousers as I convinced myself it happened because they were too tight!!

HoneyLemon29 · 03/03/2022 12:13

@myrainbowjourney thank you, I remember a doctor also telling me sometimes the hair in the tube just move slower ☹️ I still haven't actually got my Pathology report back from surgery yet, I don't know why it takes months 😕

@NewtoTTC87 thank you, I'll be 4 weeks on Tuesday, I found out very early x

myrainbowjourney · 03/03/2022 11:04

@NewtoTTC87 I am fine thank you. I have now officially entered the TWW so I am just trying to find things to keep me distracted. I feel ok though - couldn't really have done any more than we have so just need to keep everything crossed.

How are you doing? xx

NewtoTTC87 · 03/03/2022 10:46

@HoneyLemon29 Ah congratulations!!! So so happy for you! I will have everything crossed for you. When will it be 4 weeks?? x

@MrsL2021 Welcome ❤️ I am sorry to hear about your ectopic. You are definitely in the right place though. Hoping the group helps you as much as it helped me. I took folic acid, DHA, COQ10 and vit D. x

@myrainbowjourney how are you feeling today? x

myrainbowjourney · 03/03/2022 10:45

@HoneyLemon29 totally understand you'll be anxious. You have some nice steps ahead which will keep you distracted, and hopefully it won't be too long until you see it on a scan 🤞🏼

myrainbowjourney · 03/03/2022 10:44

@HoneyLemon29 @MrsL2021 I don't think anything causes an ectopic except bad luck and having problems in the tube. The doctor told me really tiny hair like structures help to move the egg down the tube, and even those not functioning quite right can just cause the egg to get stuck.

Never think it's anything you've done xxx

HoneyLemon29 · 03/03/2022 10:22

@myrainbowjourney thank you 💜
I'm feeling okay but I'm so anxious to know where baby is 🥺 I'll be going in for blood tests monitoring when I'm 4 weeks then a scan when my levels are 1500 x

@MrsL2021 thank you 💜 I just take a 5mg folic acid prescribed from the doctor x

I know what you mean with thinking about possible causes for the ectopic. With me I didn't realise that I had conceived, and went into an X-ray room with my son for his X-ray at the time the baby would've been going through the tubes. I always wonder if this could've been a cause x

myrainbowjourney · 03/03/2022 10:16

@MrsL2021 I assume from your message that you don't know when it's likely to be?
I'd just go for it. Doesn't really matter if you're more likely to conceive if you've already managed to!
When they took your tube away they should have given you an indication as to whether the other one looked healthy. I know they can't say if it's blocked, but it will hopefully give you the confidence that you can carry on.
I totally understand the thoughts, we all have them. And I guess there's no right answer. But I'd just go for it, knowing you have the hsg in your back pocket if it hasn't happened by then xx

MrsL2021 · 03/03/2022 09:58

@myrainbowjourney

Yesss!! *@HoneyLemon29* huge congrats! How are you feeling?

@MrsL2021 sorry to hear about your ectopic, welcome to the thread ❤️
You don't have to wait to try, but you can't have the hsg (assuming this is the dye in the tubes) if you are pregnant. So just bear that in mind.
I think any of those supplements are fine with TTC. I take folic acid and omega 3 xxx

Thank you @myrainbowjourney ❤️ we just don't know whether to wait because you're more likely to conceive after hsg and worried that it may me another EP if we try before. I have so many paranoid thoughts. Deep down I think we should just go for it xxxx
MrsL2021 · 03/03/2022 09:56

@HoneyLemon29

Yesterdays test and todays Both 6am and FMU x
@HoneyLemon29 these lines look great!! 🤞❤️ Oh yes we are in another thread together! Which folic acid do you take? Wondering whether to stick with what i took before, but also paranoid if that "caused" the ectopic? I know it's irrational! Xxxx

HoneyLemon29 · 03/03/2022 07:44

@MrsL2021 I think I'm on another thread with you as well as this one 💜
I'm not sure about the HSG but sorry you had to go through ectopic. The only vitamins I take is folic acid x

MrsL2021 · 02/03/2022 21:44

Hi, please may I join this thread? I had an ep and left tube removal in Jan and hoping to start ttc again next month. We've been referred to the fertility clinic and for tests Inc. Hsg test but wondering whether to wait till I've had hsg before ttc again. Has anyone got any advice? Also any advice for supplements/vitamins... Previously I took "seven seas trying for a baby" while ttc and switched to "pregnacare" when pregnant. Thank you ✨🌈xxxx

HoneyLemon29 · 02/03/2022 14:19

Thank you everyone, will post hopefully a test with a darker line in the morning ☺️ x

NewtoTTC87 · 02/03/2022 12:41

@HoneyLemon29 I can see the line too on the second!!! Don't stress about spotting. Keep us updated. x

@Mummyme87 looking forward to your results too x

@myrainbowjourney I don't blame you for thinking like this but life can throw surprises at you. I really did not think this cycle was mine.. hence the partying but look what happened. Chin up x

@LJF234 yep ovulation is close by. Good luck and hoping this cycle is the one for you too x

LJF234 · 02/03/2022 12:26

Thanks all, I'll keep doing these daily for the next few days then.
@HoneyLemon29 I can see a faint line in the second test too! Sorry to hear you're spotting though, let's hope its nothing to worry about. X
