Anyone here TTC after Ectopic surgery or with one Fallopian tube due to medical reasons that want to support each other? Or if anyone has any successful stories conceiving with one tube welcome to bring positivity to the post x

@Mummyme87 hopefully this cycle is the one. Keep us updated.

@Emily5674 that's a relief. It is exciting to be able to TTC again. Fingers crossed it happens quicker this time around :)

@myrainbowjourney that's good to hear although can understand it probably isn't easy. Hopefully the sun is helping :)
Try and not worry too much about what side the egg is coming from!
When are you due on? Do you start meds as soon as you start your period?

I am ok-ish, have had really bad sickness for the last week. Have midwife apt on friday so am hoping to discuss it with her. No bleeding though which I am grateful for so not trying to fret about a few vomits here and there.

xx

Emily5674 · 23/03/2022 13:14

@myrainbowjourney that is typical really isn’t it although I have heard the other tube can swing around and pick up egg from the other side! I’m hoping it will help us I hate to think we will be another year and a half at this again but best not to think of that 😅

myrainbowjourney · 23/03/2022 12:56

@Emily5674 I'm on letrozole at the moment. Once you get the dose right it does seem to help with the number of follicles, problem I'm having is they seem to prefer the tubeless side. Typical! Fingers crossed you'll get a good response.
Glad your period has arrived!

@NewtoTTC87 I'm not too bad thanks. Trying to keep myself distracted and busy, keep this TTC on the sidelines. Not easy though. How are you getting on? xxx

Emily5674 · 23/03/2022 12:05

@NewtoTTC87 good news is that it came this am :) I’m delighted feel like it’s a nice fresh start as they said we can TTC again after 1 cycle!

@myrainbowjourney I’m feeling a lot better thank you it took us 14 months to conceive our ectopic so I’m just happy to be able to start again hoping it won’t take as long this time around.

I had been seeing a reproductive endocrinologist and she has told me that after 3 months this time we can try letrozole as it will up the cha cues of a few eggs each month has anyone been given this advise or tried the same?

@Mummyme87 fingers crossed this is your month 🥰

Mummyme87 · 23/03/2022 10:35

I’m 5dpo today. None of my usual LP symptoms as yet, boobs are normally sore by now and they aren’t, I’m hoping this is good. Had super sharp pain in left groin area this am that made me say ow! But I know it’s likely too early for implantation

NewtoTTC87 · 23/03/2022 10:05

@Emily5674 mine took around 6 weeks and I had brown spotting about a week before. I think what they said about the time frame sounds reasonable so I wouldn't worry.

@HoneyLemon29 Ah so so happy for you! You must be so relieved!

@myrainbowjourney how are you doing?

xx

myrainbowjourney · 22/03/2022 20:28

@Emily5674 similar thing happened to me. I ended up going in because my wounds were really raised and sore. They just said they were fine and off I went again.
I'm glad their expectations were in line with what you are experiencing. I guess it gives you a nice amount of forced recovery. How are you feeling?

@HoneyLemon29 that's great news ❤️❤️ must be an amazing feeling

Xxx

Emily5674 · 22/03/2022 20:19

@myrainbowjourney I had an appointment today with the maternity hospital as a follow up she just said my period could come from 4-12 weeks after surgery so I guess I could be waiting a little while longer! I know it’s crazy they just kind of send you in your way I had to call last week to try and get an appointment with them as one of my stitches hadn’t dissolved it was sticking out!

@HoneyLemon29 hope all went well at the scan this evening x

Mummyme87 · 22/03/2022 20:17

That’s wonderful news @HoneyLemon29 so happy for you

HoneyLemon29 · 22/03/2022 19:44

Baby in the right spot with a heartbeat 💗

myrainbowjourney · 22/03/2022 09:40

@Emily5674 I can't remember when my period came back, but I don't think 7 weeks is uncommon. Try not to worry. Can you contact the EPU or womens health department that looked after you and ask?
It's such an emotional time, I think definitely use these people and ask what their expectation would be. They sort of discharge you and leave you (they did with me - no follow up which I found odd) which isn't really good enough.
Sending lots of love xx

@HoneyLemon29 good luck for later xx

HoneyLemon29 · 22/03/2022 09:26

Thank you @Emily5674

It's this eve at 7pm. I have a whole day to try burn 😅 I'm so nervous

Emily5674 · 21/03/2022 17:13

Hi guys , hope you are all well - just a quick question I am 7 weeks post my ectopic surgery and have had 2-3 days of brown spotting but still no period yet :( just wondering did anyone have similar while waiting for there period after ectopic.

@HoneyLemon29 I am sorry your app didn’t go the way you wanted it must be so tough all the waiting around to make sure everything is ok - hope your private scan is better and you get some relief :)

HoneyLemon29 · 18/03/2022 10:21

@Mummyme87 fingers crossed for you 🤞 I hope the 2WW goes quickly for you x

Mummyme87 · 17/03/2022 14:56

Forgot to actually add my chart

TTC with one Fallopian tube
Mummyme87 · 17/03/2022 14:54

This is my chart today. So thought I may have peaked yesterday afternoon but seemingly not as no signs of ovulation yet (I usually feel aches and pains all day) and I POAS a couple of hours ago and was even darker! 1.21 which I’m super happy about. So yeah, I’m CD14 today, giving me a longer cycle but feeling positive that this will be a super mature and strong egg. Have DTD CD7, 10, 11, 13. Hoping we’re covering it, also hope ovulate soon as I’m getting tired now 😂😂

@HoneyLemon29 I understand the booking a private scan, two weeks is a long time to wait at this stage of pregnancy. I’m hoping because I work in the maternity system I can get bloods and scans done easily. One of the few perks of the job

HoneyLemon29 · 17/03/2022 10:55

@NewtoTTC87 so happy your saw the heartbeat, and what an awful thing for them to say, when I had my scan of just the sac you can see an odd shaped sac next door which is also the bleed which is now making me panic 🥺
They said it will reabsorb or come out 😣

@Mummyme87 how exciting. How's your chart looking today?

@myrainbowjourney fingers crossed everything works out soon 🥺

I've decided to book a private scan for Tuesday when I'll be 6 weeks exact. I can't wait 2 weeks especially since they couldn't give me definite answers last time :(

NewtoTTC87 · 16/03/2022 21:10

@Mummyme87 Thank you. That makes me feel a bit better. She also said it was quite small so I’m hoping nothing comes of it.
Good luck in your peak 🤞

@myrainbowjourney yea that’s understandable and your mind will start running away with what if’s. Try and not let it run away. If you have to have this cycle off, you’re doing the right thing and that’s that. Use the month to unwind and take the pressure off yourself. It will fly by anyway!
Thank you. Yea I’m worried but I’m trying to control it. It’s hard not to pay attention to every pain or tinge I feel now and go toilet 😞 I feel well generally apart from that. I don’t have much sickness just waves of it.

myrainbowjourney · 16/03/2022 13:10

@NewtoTTC87 yes it's only a cycle off. Just feels like what if that's the cycle I get the follicle on the right side. I could miss my best chance. It's such a mind mess up!

Oh I'm so pleased you got to see the heartbeat ❤️❤️ how are you feeling generally?

I don't know what to even say about the doctor you saw. Unfortunately it just doesn't surprise me, I don't know how people in these jobs have such a lack of empathy sometimes. Please try not to worry. I think doctors like to sit on the fence with their words sometimes, so not to say anything that they can get called up on later on. I'm sure everything will be just fine. Lots of people have bleeds and have perfectly healthy pregnancies. Sending you lots of love, and hope you can find the happiness for your scan again.

@Mummyme87 fingers crossed your peak is around the corner

Mummyme87 · 16/03/2022 12:37

I am CD13, my usual ovulation day, but am yet to get a peak on OPK. However, I had shot up today so I’m expecting a peak later today I think, tonight maybe

TTC with one Fallopian tube
Mummyme87 · 16/03/2022 12:32

@NewtoTTC87 I’m glad your got to see a HB, but so sorry the doctor was really non reassuring and caused more worry.
I see a lot of subchorionic haematomas on very healthy pregnancies.

NewtoTTC87 · 16/03/2022 12:06

@myrainbowjourney Yes I can understand. It may also be nice to take a break maybe? You know have some time off from meds and not trying to give your mind some peace from the pressure. How long is the recommended break? Only 1 cycle? If so that will literally fly by!

I am ok... I had the 7 week scan yesterday where I see a heartbeat which was amazing however my feelings didn't last as they also found some bruising (subchorionic hematoma) and told me that I could have bleeding. I saw the most unhelpful & unsympathetic doctor. She was so blunt. She kept on saying things like 'you are ok..for now' and kept on mentioning miscarriage. I left feeling so crap and terrified. Can't help it but I am very fearful now. I don't want to think of worse case scenarios as I am fine now but angry at her for putting this fear in me. I am not saying lie to me however she could have got her message across & outlined the risks in a better way. Anyway, apart from feeling a little scared now, I am doing ok xx

myrainbowjourney · 14/03/2022 19:26

@NewtoTTC87 thank you ❤️

They came back to me and said they think it's likely the trigger shot still in my system. I need to take a break from the meds at some point (this or next cycle) but they've said not to try at all when I take the break and I find that thought quite difficult.

How are you doing lovely? xx

NewtoTTC87 · 14/03/2022 16:22

@myrainbowjourney I am so so sorry you're feeling like this. I know not much I can say that will make it better right now but know that, of course there is hope, there is always hope.
Why don't you chase the clinic again? Having some sort of next plan will make you feel better. Or have you got a further apt booked already? x

myrainbowjourney · 14/03/2022 16:01

@LJF234 thank you ❤️ the line was pretty much gone. I don't really know what to do. I've emailed the clinic but haven't heard yet. I don't know why it isn't happening 😢

@NewtoTTC87 I'm ok thanks, hopes dashed again. I don't know what's going to change to make this a success for us. It just doesn't feel like anything is working. This journey is so tough, I just don't know how much more I have in me.

How are you?

@HoneyLemon29 all sounds really promising 🥰
